A MASS OUTBREAK OF TOXIC CHAINED TINKATON have emerged from HOENN'S AREA ZERO. They hammer everything and everyone they do not recognize as being of their kin. Curiously, their hammers have the fleshy, magenta chains welded into them. The same chains connect to their white arms, effectively acting as a macabre tether should their weapons be knocked out of their hands.[break][break]

Oddly, some of the Tinkaton's hammers have segments of curling ivy, thorn-like spikes and wood integrated into their make.[break][break]

Around you, TERA CRYSTALS glimmer ominously.

kyle terastalizes his mightyena right away.

flames were ready to be blown at the steel-types with his pokemon with the fire-type crown. the mightyena seemed proud at its feat despite multiple other pokemon doing the same around them.

"you just want to burn things down," he tells his pokemon.

it barks in response.

kyle sighs and lets his pokemon do its work. the target was going to be the tinkaton anyways. it'll be good for the environment to see these creatures melt and die a horrible death.

What was worse to be said about everything taking place in the region was the influence the toxic chains were taking over. Not only were poison type Pokemon afflicted most heavily, but now it appeared that the toxins and venomous influences were reaching out to more Pokemon, Pokemon that should have been more immune to the effects.[break][break]
Tinkaton ravaged everything in sight, striking with their hammers coated in thorns and wood spikes, causing more damage with the power the toxic chains provided. Yuina rushed through the scene with Delton in tow, glittering with Ground Tera energy as the Decidueye shook the ground beneath the assaulting steel types. There was no hope in stopping all of the destruction they would wreak, but the more of them that they could quell, the better.

Sylv's done this before in this place, so the crystal-like casing is nothing new to them - indeed, he almost seems at home as he roars. A fairy jewel is atop his head, with his black-red dye shimmering underneath the crystal.

"Tera Blast!" Lutgarde commands, but they truly do not need to. He's already on it, fighting off the poisoned Tinkaton.

That the poison would even spread here, in this area ... it's concerning.

"Cover the reseaech centwrs!" He shouted as Joyles TERASTALIZED, a crystal crown glowing above their head as they so.ehow absorbed the tera crystals power around them for their PROTECT. As Tinkaton swarmed, he disnt haveenough time to analyze the situation. They could only protect the people still inside trying to make it out pf their temporary encampmwnts..

Some toxic chain outbreaks needed finesse, healing, proper care to avoid harming Pokemon or people.

Not Tinkatons. Hideo had one of his own, and he knew that he'd need the big guns to help deal with them. Especially ones that seemed to have acquired a creative way to avoid getting disarmed. With how many were doing it, there was no way they'd just randomly learned it, and Hideo was catching to these Pokemon getting more creative with how they fought.

So Hideo's Zarude was let loose, a poisonous Tera crown upon its head; the Tinkatons would find no way to abuse its dark-type weaknesses here, the Zarude slamming a Tinkaton with a Hammer Arm. Hideo hadn't even intentionally activated it - it'd just triggered the moment he let his Zarude out.

Hideo, meanwhile, felt that strange, uncomfortable feeling he'd felt every other time he'd been dealing with these chain'd Pokemon. There was no way this was a coincidence, but he'd have to power through it to help keep things under control.

after enough encounters with TOXIC CHAINED pokemon, annalise has some grasp on the parasitic relationship between the toxic chain and their unwilling hosts. she rolls a pokeball into her palm and releases her CERULEDGE to try and sever the chains from the tinkaton swarming area zero. [break][break]amidst slashes of its bitter blade, the ghost-type reacts to the glittering tera around them, its armor crystalizing with FIRE TERA. annalise blinks, bewildered, by the change. she hadn't taken her tera orb out of her pocket, nor had she commanded her ceruledge to terastallize.[break][break]

TERA CRYSTALS. It would be foolish not to employ them with them being so abundant here. Remiel flies in upon his AERODACTYL, OTHNIEL, to try and keep some distance from the rampaging hammers of the TOXIC CHAINED TINKATON. Despite that, they try and try again to knock him out of the sky with globs of metal, poison, and rock that they bat upwards with said hammers.[break][break]

However, just before one manages to strike them, his Aerodactyl TERASTALLIZES. The mass of poison is blasted away by the surge of DRACONIC POWER generated by this force. With a ferocious roar, Othniel unleashes a HYPER BEAM afterward that tears through their ranks easily.[break][break]

Tinkaton these were not pokemon that he was entirely familiar with, and the only reason he knew their typing was because they were natural enemies to his favored Dragon types....Still that didn't stop him from releasing his trusted partner Draco into the thick of it. There was no other that he would trust against them even with the type disadvantage, and so he held up his Tera Orb, and Draco began to shine a brilliant silver, and soon he was covered with a silver sheen of crystals. Changing his type to Steel, and negating the weakness of this little fairy type, and nullifying it's other strengths against him as well.

"Now....Blitz them...." He gave the order to his dragon, and both of his fists ignited with flames as he used his favored combination of Extreme Speed, and Fire Punch to become a flaming flurry of destruction among their ranks. It was similar to the tactic they had used against the Venasaur minus one element. Amor frowned a bit as he took note of all the places that had been hit with these series of toxic attacks, and he wondered if he should perhaps compare notes with his Nebula members....

Perhaps there was some reason they were attacking these specific places, or maybe they were just as random as they all thought they were....

Grigori watched with bated breath as the Kingambit duked it out with the dangerous Tinkaton. They exchanged blows like no tomorrow, with neither able to overcome the other in a decisive manner. Pumpkin's blade deflected the hammer, which in turn stopped her blade in a cyclical manner. A deadly game they played, and both rather well.


After the problem with Scizor in this area, his heart was more on edge than normal. That one would be out of comisssion for a month, if he was lucky. He couldn't afford another one to become injured. His heart wouldn't survive that. "Pumpkin, please be cautious!"

"Kingambit! Gambit!"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU OLD BASTARD I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING!"

She shoved the Tinkaton back and-- oh. Tera crystals radiated, and her body started to morph. Her essence was being rewrote like code, and formed into an entirely different substance. Like the mineral of the earth invaded her cells and molded it into its own structure. Ground-type. The blade above her head was topped with a strange semi-circle, one taht looked much like their planet.

"Kingambit!" She swung down with all her might, on top of the Tinkaton's head. It displaced directly into the earth, like they did on the cartoons. Grigori let out a sigh of relief. Thank Arceus.

"Gambit," she said.

But... that was extremely odd. He hadn't utilized the tera band on his wrist. Was... something big brewing in Hoenn?

Hm. Strange. You don't remember giving your Corviknight any Tera Shards. And yet, here she is, glimmering in crystalline red with a burning crown atop her head. Is this a side effect of being so close to Area Zero? You don't recall anything like this happening during your excursions, but then again, Tera Crystals are pretty tricky fuckers, aren't they? Spitting out Paradox Pokemon and shit. You can't say for sure, but it seems more than likely--

A Steel Wing clatters the fairy over the head, causing it to crumple to the ground. Then, a talon stomps down on the Toxic Chain and rips it clean off. There's even symptoms of the Toxic Chain here, huh?

Actually, now that you think about it... You haven't looked for the Toxic Chain Megalopolans on Area Zero, have you...?

Tempest flung out his Kabutops. Durandal's scythe meeting one of the hammers in a quick clash. The rock type suddenly started to glow, Terrastilization suddenly coming over her body. The Electric Teta had little flickers of sparks coming off her body.[break][break]

Tempest felt queasy to his stomach, as he had been the last few times he had been around these pokemon. What was going on with them?

[attr="class","body"] “You’re up Noodle!” With no fire types handy, they take an opposite approach. Thinking quick on his feet, he tries something else. With a click of his tera orb, pale blue light engulfs his shinx—crystallizing the little cat with the sheen of ICE TERA typing.[break][break]

”Try to freeze its hammer!”[break][break]

The shinx takes off, speeding up in what looks like it might turn into a WILD CHARGE as he goes up against the tinkaton. At the last moment, though, he halts—yowling loudly with an icy cry as FROST BREATH spews out and encases the tinkaton’s hammer in its chill.[break][break]

Ice spreads outward, fusing the hammer to the ground as the tinkaton struggles to free it so she can take another hefty swing. The hammer itself looks kinda funny. “I’d like to take a look at that,” Lam muses aloud, then looks at the shinx who is now running circles around the pink gremlin and no doubt incensing her more. “If you can separate them, maybe I can get a closer look.”

They were just like the hammer-slinging creature of pink had brought back to the nest around yule, only made to don crowns of toxicity rather than holly leaves and stars. It was but a tragedy that the toxic chain had spread into even the newer parts of the region— but it was of no surprise as well, considering the sheer amount of oddities that were present in the caverns of crystalline as is. To think that it could make a home here, influencing the amassed hordes of paradoxicals was quite worrying, to say the least. Just as it was the overwhelming nausea that crept up her spine and back out, winding warm breaths beneath her disposable mask.[break][break]

A few of them appeared to be connected to their hammers by chain alone, some of which appeared modified by plant and wood. “Zarude,” she said softly from behind a jagged crystal, watching the light begin to naturally consume, “.. target what connects them. It could free the innocent ones..” It was a wish to let the fairies live the lives they were ultimately meant to, especially with the curious one that remained at her home, coveted.[break][break]

Terastal energies swept through the mass, granting the Zarude a natural FIGHTING TYPE TERA CROWN upon the tufts of its head; it was an interesting feeling to the creature, one that it had not felt before. It enhanced the natural rage of the forest that it channeled through its attempt at vicariously living; springing through the gems protrusion to protrusion, it was quick to unleash floral-smelling devastation with an orange hue, an empowered HAMMER ARM, on a Tinkaton that was connected to its hammer by a fleshy, magenta link.[break][break]

Had she not spent the moments of the onslaught fighting vomit due to the infliction of the toxins, it would have been a beautiful sight to see. One that provoked love in saving the steel-wielder rather than forcing it to breathe it’s last.
