Shalin's frustration with the OVER-THE-GYARADOS was starting to show. She stopped studying demonstrations of the trick and just started going out on the waves. Maybe once, just once, everything would click. It wasn't like there were judges evaluating the quality of her maneuvers; the festival's surfing contest operated on a pass-or-fail basis. She caught the tall wave and began her twists.
