Josh stuck his tongue out when his wife would hiss at him. She really needed to get over her distaste for the Raichu, it hadn't done anything to her. On purpose, anyway. It really was time for her to let bygones be bygones and act her age. Watching her change her approach, Josh would stand to his feet and cast, hoping to catch a Wooper of a Pokemon.

Hopefully he wouldn't catch a Pooper instead.

Well... A Lumineon was a rather nice catch, elegant in the water... but he wasn't looking for one. As nice as they were, a Lumineon wasn't quite up his alley. So it would be carefully returned to the water before the bobber would return to the water.

After digging up Poké Ball after Poké Ball, Josh was realizing that almost all the rare treasure had to be gone from the reef by now. Perhaps his time would be better spent trying to hook a specific Pokémon he was searching for. He returned to the docks to pick up his fishing rod for the event and headed out to a cove behind the barrier reef and cast his line.

Twilight often brought some of the best fish to the surface, but her fishing spot was also relatively shielded from the lights of the festival. Furthermore, the deadline to register her fish for the day was looming. She cast her line, knowing she could not be picky at all; she would need to register the first thing that nibbled at her line and hoped she made it back to the pier before the sun completely dipped below the horizon.

The sight of familiar, reflective scales of a certain radiance met his eye as he pulled upon both line and rod once more. Just like the others, he'd readied a temporary Pokeball to draw the creature into throughout its momentary capture, but before the lights of whites and crimson had fully enveloped it, he couldn't help but gander in subtle awe and appreciation.[break][break]

Of course, though, there were many more creatures to hook and land, so before long, he simply set the then-occupied capsule aside before casting his line out again.[break][break]

basculin. she reeled it in and looked at it for a long moment. it kind of looked like the fish she'd gotten from the spacetime distortion. the one before the one that was about to happen.

figuring it was nothing special otherwise, she unhooked its lip and sent it back into the ocean, before baiting and casting her line out to try again.

It had been years since Thomas went fishing. The last time he did was when he was a teenager, on a trip with his mentor. Still, getting back into it was just like riding a bike. Thomas cast his rod out into the waters, in hopes of a good catch.

sage took her turn, casting her own line back out. now, they were fishing for sport.
