[attr="class","aurelie"]  [attr="class","aurelie_lyrics"]Give someone a mask, and they will show you their true face [attr="class","aurelie_body"]When the museum's exhibits were unveiled, Aurelie surprised herself by heading not toward the Primal Crystal or METENO 99943 exhibits, despite their enticing displays of rare, beautiful, powerful crystals, but instead toward the exhibit displaying the crown of King Geralt IV of Galar. To be sure, Aurelie always loved learning about history, and particularly about famous relics and heirlooms of the past. She also reasoned that, while this probably wouldn't be the last time she'd have a chance to see a Primal Crystal or Terastal Crystal, the crown was on loan from the Galarian ambassador and might not return to Hoenn for a very long time—or ever. These were all logical reasons and certainly sounded convincing in Aurelie's head as she threaded her way through the crowds of masked revelers toward the jeweled crown atop its pedestal. Yet, part of her was dimly aware that she simply wasn't emotionally ready yet to reflect on the gnawing anxiety and dread of the incoming meteoroid, not to mention the horror of the battles for the Primal Crystals, as if they were merely a thing of the past. All those events were too soon, too near. The crown, on the other hand, was safe, at least where Aurelie was concerned. It was beautiful, and it evoked no particular emotions besides admiration and fascination. So, she stood quietly behind the velvet rope surrounding the glass-encased display and gazed contentedly at the diamond-and-ruby-studded crown sparkling brilliantly in the overhead light. Imagine wearing something so opulent on your head all the time, day in and day out, she thought to herself with an amused chuckle. The weight alone! Heavy is the head, indeed. But at least no one would ever be able to ignore or disregard you, either, so that's something.A few feet away stood a handsome couple, one wearing a Corviknight mask and the other a wolf mask, gazing solemnly and broodingly at the exhibit. On her other side, Aurelie became aware of an elegant woman in a black-and-gold mask and a magnificent, flowing ball gown, taking photos of the crown on her phone. Turning her head, the red-haired smith watched as the woman held her phone this way and that at different angles and distances from herself, before eventually giving up and looking around. Aurelie pursed her lips thoughtfully and decided to approach her with an offer to help. "Hello, can I help?" she asked tentatively, nodding toward the woman's phone. "I'd be happy to try taking a picture or two of you and the Galarian crown together. You can just let me know what angles or lighting you'd like." Aurelie couldn't resist adding teasingly, her lips curving beneath her mask into a mischievous grin, "Not that I think it'd be hard to find the right lighting in this case, when you shine just as dazzlingly as the jewels on that crown, mademoiselle."[attr="class","aurelie_tag"]

amor was good at this. velda did her best to keep up, letting her experiences guide her, though carried much more by the lead of a very skilled partner. she made it to the dip with a laugh, finally feeling her feet catch up with her again.[break][break]
