The female royal takes Framme to Route 120 to see the swarm of Glimmora and its smaller pre-evolution with the former being an odd looking fish coming from the bottom of the earth. While the Audino looks at the swimming little fish and the strange rock Pokemon with curiosity, Glimmora did look like they were flowers floating in the middle of the route’s path. Their blue hue onto their bodies made them look like very beautiful flowers in a state of sleep where their buds would open to give an attractive look. [break][break]

Still, she remembers the way that Queen Edela Calcifet, her aunt, looked upon her with such a cold look that she was afraid and timid of her as a young child. Even when she visited the Calcifet Palace well in her teens and during a royal ball a few years ago, the royal couldn’t forget the disapproving look the queen gave her compared to her golden child, Crown Prince .[break][break]

Her aunt considered her the poison ivy of the Calcifet royal family while the queen had an iron grip onto the throne. Elise hardly believed the queen cared more about her country and subjects and that Queen Edela seized the throne in a circumstance regarding a scandal from her disgraced uncle.[break][break]

Elise desired to be queen… She wanted to set things right and mend the distrust from the Galarian people. As the new royal ambassador, she cared far more about the country and its people which was the first step in thinking like a future queen.[break][break]

Her own train of thought wandered a bit too long as her Audino tries to ask in her own Pokemon language if her trainer was okay. Giving a pat on the bunny’s head, the female Galarian ambassador tosses a Pokeball over to the blue flowery-like Pokemon.[break][break]

Since arriving in Hoenn Guinevere had been busy nonstop. Which she didn't mind, it gave her time to check in with family and get some things done that were on her to-do list. Plus she had the added exposure since paparazzi seemed obsessed with covering what the shunned princess of Galar was doing here in their region. [break][break]

But she finally had some time for herself so she decided to go for a walk with her pokemon and explore. She heard exercise was a great way for keeping spirits up among pokemon. Besides, they'd been cooped up as of late so stretching their 'legs' wouldn't be such a bad idea. Though looking at them now she wasn't sure if they would agree. [break][break]

Mimzy, who was waddling beside her, ended up finding something of interest since it had his whole attention. "What are you looking at?" she asked with a frown as he turned slightly to show her the berries he'd found. Gwyn's brown hues widened with alarm as she quickly smacked them away. "Don't eat those! They're poisonous!" Mimzy was startled and seemed upset at first but reluctantly agreed. The plant they had managed to find was Atropa belladonna or nightshade. She'd remember seeing something like this from her studies back in school.[break][break]

It'd been forever since she'd studied such things but she had a knack for remembering pointless things. Well, in this case it didn't seem so pointless after all. "I'll get you a treat later, I promise." While along the way they noticed a swarm of glimmora eerily floating around. "Wanna have some fun?" she asked her team as she readied some pokeballs. What better way to get some exercise than fighting and potentially securing a new friend.[break][break]

Hideo had dealt with Pokemon literally appearing out of nowhere from distortions, so having a swarm pop out of the ground was normal in comparison. These weren't any that his Pokemon recognized - maybe one of those new breeds coming from Paldea? All his Pokemon told him were that they were on the larger side, and that they spread something along the ground when someone hit them.

Sharp, poison-looking things, according to his Pokemon.

Great. Hideo had to watch his step carefully, like he was trying to maneuver through a forest full of poison oak. One wrong step would be all it takes to get himself poisoned - never a fun experience.

He could check out Figycove Island after this. He heard it was a pretty cozy fishing village, and the jam there was amazing.

Maybe he could even bring along a freshly-caught Pokemon?

A GARDEN OF GLIMMORAS BLOOM BY ROUTE 120, the place where everything happened. The DEVIL'S CHERRIES grow against the barren soil, waiting like fruits to be plucked from the earth. Selena has only seen and read these kinds of Pokemons from the encyclopedias of Paldea but it is her first time to actually see one.

With every careful step she takes, she leans closely into the walls, trying not to cause too much distraction in fear of the creatures' tendency to self-explode.

with the recent toxic events, it doesn't surprise her to find some jequirity growing nearby. [break]

extremely toxic, extremely horrible, yet something so deadly has the audacity to look so cute and harmless. it shouldn't be growing in a place like this, should it? the logical answer is that it's become an invasive species. [break][break]

but she knows better than to apply logic, nowadays. [break][break]

a swarm of poison makes its merry way across the fields, and she hums softly. they're from paldea, if she recalls. [break][break]

The strange little perfume bottle-esque creatures buzzed and spun as they investigated what he was doing.

Ash was surprised to find out that there were poisous flowers. He didn't know why, but he had doing a lot of research into them. Wisteria were poisonious if ingested. Well, that could be said of the other poisonous flowers, but none of them blew up. And, there was a Pokemon that looked like a flower to him. Glimmora, a Paldean Pokemon that was really kinda cool looking. And it was poison type as well. The red head had a few already, and they could certainly be useful for either of his two main activities. Plus, like Wisteria, they liked to cling onto steady surfaces. Might as well give it a go! With Chompers the Gabite at his side, he was ready to throw down some poisonous flowers!

Glimmora, the Ore Pokemon, a recently discovered species in Paldea, immigrated to Hoenn for reasons unknown. A beautiful Lily of the Valley digging up through the rock and stone to flourish in the sunlight, Xenon never really liked flowers all that much.

But all the same their poison could be useful to her, so she would have no problems with stomping on the grass and pulling the pitiful things up by their roots, using her Scolipede to crack the earth with powerful Earthquakes and crush every single Pokemon she saw. "Come on now, is your survival instinct really that weak? Are you even worth catching? Stop wasting my valuable time, fight back already and give my partners some useful data!"

Angelo would’ve missed his little hitchhiker, had he not been familiar with the owlish golden eyes of a Glimmora.

That familiarity also means he’s acutely aware the mysterious creature wouldn’t like it when he starts the engines. Wouldn’t think too highly of the landing back in the Lilycove docks, either.

“But I’m going to need you to let go. Trust me. You wouldn’t appreciate the landing.” Angelo rummages in his pocket for a pokeball, just in case it doesn't comply with his suggestion.

Glimmora were seemingly everywhere in Route 120 - and much like poison ivy, there were those that clung to the sides of trees and the like. A curious sight to be sure - these bejeweled flowers were eyecatching, with how they glimmered in the light.

But even for all the beauty they offered, with this stunning sight, they were still wild pokemon - and pokemon who likely should be given their space, since a bad encounter could result in one being seriously poisoned.

Makoto, however, was honestly not too concerned about that. They were, in fact, interested in trying their hand in finding one that'd be easier to catch - you couldn't go wrong with having more pokemon you can rely upon, after all. Perhaps they'd go for one that's closer to the ground, where neither they nor their pokemon would need to climb or fly to engage it?

Kelpie would lean toward the poison type if she were forced to pick a type of Pokemon. Though making her do so would likely require a gun to the head, something that sour puss had been happy to provide. Its subtle power—cloying and intoxicating—was an excellent representation of the female mystique. It enticed people to draw closer like a beautiful foxglove or hemlock bloom.

This appreciation for all things toxic led to her arrival at the swarm. These strange little Pokemon—part flower and part stone—were known for a peculiar ability. It was the true embodiment of a double-edged sword. It made each victory a costly, dangerous environment. As she stared out at the flock of Glimmora, however, she felt her nose wrinkle.

It could not be said that the floating blooms were ugly, but something in them felt wrong. They seemed more like automatons given life than a creature crafted by a sane god. As one latched onto the tree above her, however, Calpurnia smiled softly. It was also beautiful in its own way.

“You’ll tell me your secrets, won’t you love?” The scientist pulled a Cherish Ball from her belt. “Preferably without me having to ask twice.” Purrseus launched himself toward the stone flower. With a Play Rough, it seemed ready to be added to her collection.

Honestly, he heard there was a swarm, but he hadn't expected this.[break][break]

Like poison ivy ascending upon the lengths of a trellis, the walls were speckled with so many Glimmora that clung to the cracks as far as the eye could see. It was a while since he'd seen any, altogether (the last time was, what...years ago? at least a decade?) in his last trip to Paldea to see family.[break][break]

Eh. Like that mattered, though.[break][break]

"Hey, Ranga," he called, glancing over his shoulder towards a Tyranitar that hulked in following.[break][break]

She gave a low noise, tilting her head.[break][break]

"Sic 'em for me, yeah~?"[break][break]

A casual request that left the beast staring at him for a little while, but lo and behold, she followed through with a few Stomping Tantrums to cull the numbers— something he waited for with an uncharacteristic patience before picking a Glimmora out and tossing a Pokeball at it.[break][break]
