the highest roll will earn a shiny midnight lycanroc with a GHOST TERA-TYPE; the second highest roll will earn a regular midnight lycanroc, the second lowest roll will net a regular rockruff, and the lowest roll will net a shiny rockruff. the gender of the pokemon can be decided by the recipient.
the attempted capture will not consume a pokéball.
the midnight lycanroc/regular rockruff have movesets that will be revealed at the end of the event.

The sound of howling echoed through the pass as Kaz stood among the pack of Lycanroc as they sang their song to the beauty that was the full moon. His own Lycanroc joining him alongside his brothers and sisters before the whole pack with Kaz included took off to run down the pass. The wind blew through his hair and beat against his bare chest as he pushed his legs to keep up with the lupines. Tonight he was one of them, tonight he was free, tonight was the night he would let his inner beast run wild. It was also tonight that he would try and catch one of them as he slowly took out a ball and caught the attention of a few of the wolves as he tossed the ball.

Natural instincts took over as a few of them chased after it with tails wagging and tongues lolling out with excitement in their eyes.

The eeire howls erupted at the stroke of midnight, stirring up alarm throughout the region. And of course, Maverick was quick to investigate this happening and see what it was. To his surprised, lycanroc and rockuffs gather to sing to the moon. Crimson colored orbs observed them for a few minutes, eyeing the blue canine’s amongst the pack. By his side, the massive six foot seven hell hound emitted a low rumble of a growl. Maverick was quick to silence her, though it was took late.

Dark red eyes glared at them from their hiding spot, forcing the man to move out into the open and engage. Reaching into his pocket, the ex gym leader launched a sphere into the air in hopes to capture one of the blue canines. Meanwhile, Azula sprang into action and began to battle on of the midnight forms that came barreling towards them. This wasn’t what he wanted but, it it what it is. “Give them hell Azula.”

Jack prowled the darkness of Jagged Pass, on the search for the swarm of Lycanroc that was rumored to be in the area this night. Watts trotted happily alongside him, the Boltund's nose sniffing the wind as it blew down the pass. It wasn't long before Jack found the swarm and he crouched low with a pokeball at the ready. As he waited for the right time, one of the Lycanroc lifted its snout and howled into the night sky, followed by the rest of the pack. Jack's eyes locked with Watts for a single second before the Boltund reared back his head.[break][break]

"Awoooooooooooooo," the Boltund howled as the Lycanroc pack turned their attention to the jumble of boulders where Jack was hiding. With their cover already blown, Jack popped up and threw a pokeball.

Aloe was making it a habit to go out in the depths of the night to work on tattoo designs, but the quirks of this mountainous slope cut his work short. It wasn't too much of a big deal, all he had yet to make for the upcoming flash sale was an "awoo" tramp stamp design- it was quite fitting, being as that noise was the one that caused him to stop. Standing from the rock that he had made an artistic nest of, spanning before his eyes was a swarm of wolf-like pokemon taking to the the rugged fields of crumbled stone. Nothing the Noibat that floated beside him couldn't take, right?[break][break]

"The little pups are cute, think you can scoop one up?" He grinned at the violet bat, the pokemon giving a rather estranged look in return. There were a couple of fruit trees growing from the rubble, so he was sure Morrigan wouldn't come back empty-handed. All of the cries that resonated throughout the mountainside were quite menacing, and the appearance of some of the larger ones was worrisome; hopefully, the bat didn't take his sarcasm seriously, as all he wanted was for her to play with the fellow night-dwelling beasts. She was too small to pick up one of the Rockruff for sure, he hoped she went with the idea of making friends and fruit gains rather than becoming food to an angry mother wolf.[break][break]

mika sits on the ledge of a cliffside, feet dangling over a shallow chasm that yawns into darkness below her. above the ranger, several of her flight-capable pokemon take to the air, meters-high in the sky, wings spread out against the moonlit backdrop. a distant screech tells her that sora is egging on zenith, again, the two avian pokemon competing to see who can dive the fastest. the quiet wingbeats from san the hydreigon, on the other hand, let mika know that the three-headed pokemon is calm, though perhaps searching for a potential target. then, on either side of mika, her kronos and willa float silently in the air. only the wind makes the bronzong louder, metallic body humming and resonating like a deep windchime. [break][break]

she tilts her head back, leaning on the weight of her palms, eyes closed and face bathed in the bright moonlight. what a peaceful night. if she could, she'd stay here forever, becoming one with the windswept leaves and rock formations. Still as a stone under the velvet sky, stars forever shining out of their reach. [break][break]

awoooooo! the tranquility is soon disrupted by a growing chorus of howls, resonant and loud. mika opens their eyes, and sits up straight as she glances down at the mountain path beneath her. there, crossing the trail, lies a pack of midnight-form lycanroc, with several rockruff puppies scattered between. their voices are so raw and natural, mika feels like the strange one for having witnessed such a phenomena, though it seems like she's not the only other human present at the moment. [break][break]

hmmmmmmmm. kronos the bronzong hums loudly, floating ever-so-slightly towards the edge of the cliff, peering down at the pack of wolf pokemon. mika sees the curiosity in its blinking eyes, and realizes what it wants to do. "now, now." she says, "let's leave them be. if they come to us, that's a different story, but no need to interrupt what's going on down there." and they smile as their bronzong concedes defeat, the bronze bell pokemon floating back to its original position. willa the musharna squirms in place, likely sending a psychic signal to the other pokemon to comfort it, somehow. [break][break]

the ranger smiles at their pokemon, very pleased at how well everyone is getting along with each other these days — the autumn moon her eternal yet momentary witness. [break][break]

She was going to post a blood vessel but instead doing that she lied down on the ground ready for some wolf pokemon to maul her. Her houndoom howling or a grewsome demise at this point she was leaning towards the second choice.[break][break] Only that didn't happen, Mirabell was surrounded by little rockruffs sniffed at her some even doing as far as to lick her face. Only maybe if she could spent sometime with puppy it might be not that bad however if that dawned hounddoom dare to howl after they leave she was going to make a headpiece out of her!

“Awoooooooo!”[break][break]

The howling call of the Rockruff and Lycanroc around the Jagged Pass were enough for the royal ambassador and her shiny female Indeedee to catch their attention as Sayoko fixes up her maid uniform after looking at the moon in the evening sky. The Indeedee stands in front of her mistress as she looks at the group of Rockruff and Midnight Lycanroc who didn’t appear to notice the two of them. “It’ll be good training for you since you’re my maid.” The royal chuckles a little and with a nod from the shiny female Indeedee, Sayoko proceeds to engage one of the Midnight Lycanroc in combat and launches a Shadow Ball towards the large canine.[break][break]

When the Midnight Lycanroc was distracted with dealing with Sayoko, a Pokeball was tossed from the female purple-haired royal in an attempt to catch it. A canine Pokemon like a Midnight Lycanroc really looked more like a werewolf prowling during the evening.[break][break]

...Alright, so, moving swiftly past whatever the hell that was, why're you here? The answer to that question is obvious: You don't have any dogs. Weird, isn't it? You'd think you'd have picked up a dog by now, but you haven't! You have crocodiles, giraffes, scorpions, turtles, and several unidentifiable lizards, but no dogs. That's pretty fucked up. You're Shred Zeppelin, you should have AT LEAST one dog.

So, nothing to do but to get a dog! You heard there were dogs gathering at the Jagged Pass, so to the Jagged Pass you went. Sure enough, this place is overflowing with dogs. There's so many dogs, it'd be a miracle to walk away from here without one! But, hey, you're not greedy. Much the opposite, you like to think yourself a reasonable and charitable fellow. You'll just snag one of the big red dogs, and then you'll be on your way.

Kee invaded the Jagged Pass for the chance at some Midnight Form Lycanroc and Rockruff. With him was his trusty Houndoom. As the Pokemon sang their song, Kee joined in. "Arwoooooooo!" While his Houndoom looked at him amusingly, he too, joined the howls. It was so exciting! And this form was so cool looking! Jumping down with his Houndoom right behind him, they soon decided to challenge a few. Houndoom may technically be weak against them, but he was well trained, and actually one of his stronger Pokemon. This ought to be interesting and fun! Kee was happy out here in this dark night, with a sweator. And he didn't know why...but either way, the battles were soon starting! Maybe he'll even get lucky!

Out in the night, the calm autumn was falling upon the jagged pass, and it was easy to feel a change in the environment as things had started to cool for the season. There were many Pokemon that were coming out and enjoying the night, their eyes glowing and their soft cries growing, but in the near distance, echoing and resonating across the air, it was very clear that there was a large gathering of some Pokemon out there.[break][break]

Yuina moved quietly over the dirt and paths, wondering what was making such haunting, but also melodic calls into the night, she wasn't sure that she'd heard anything quite like it. Coming up on a clearing, in the near distance, it looked like a whole pack of canine Pokemon had gathered and were sharing their songs to the moon high above. She watched them, watched the pups scamper about and the older, larger canines sing their songs, and maybe she could meet one of the canines given some time. She just wanted to watch and listen for a while first.

"Awoooo!" Echoed from his lips, making his own pair of Lycanroc's ears perk up.[break][break]

Silly, sure, but Temp was here for a good time not a long one. If he was too serious for too long he would explode. How did people who were so stuffy all the time deal with it?[break][break]

Well, it seemed like his little show had drawn the attention of the pack for the moment. A nose stuck out from a scraggly bush. Temp wasted no time in flinging a pokeball at it.

Another pack of Lycanroc were afoot - paired with the presence of a particularly ghostly hound. And with each distant howl that echoes through the Jagged Pass each night...

... Ettie was more than happy to awoo right back - alongside her own pack. Call and response, greetings to kindred spirits - not every meeting of packs had to be one fraught with disputes and violence over territory or prey. Ettie was more than happy to share what she could of her own pack's catches, after all!

And who knows? Perhaps they'd draw in a new friend, amidst these nighttime communes...

it was the howling that brought velvet out here, that ethereal "awooooo" in the distance that signified something was afoot. she doesn't normally make trips like this, but something drew her toward the noise. as she creeps closer, she realizes she (and several others) have stumbled upon a swarm of lycanroc and rockruff. they're doing dog things, lounging around, playing, licking each other. velvet wrinkles her nose as she thinks, trying to figure out if there's any chance of capturing them.

after a little while, one of them breaks off from the group and trots off in silence. velvet follows, confronting it outside the main area. she sends out her galarian rapidash, defeating the beast and throwing a pokeball at it. hopefully the capture will stick... she doesn't think she'll get another chance like this tonight.

Robin flinched at the sound of the pack's collective AWOOOO, but the harmonization of their voices brought a shiver down her spine and a smile to her face all the same. She didn't care for loud noises, but she loved seeing pokemon collaborate in nature. It was impressive to see such a collection of the same pokemon at this time. There was a lot of variety within the pack, too. Size differed greatly among different members of the species, with some being almost teacup sized and others being more than large enough to ride the back of. She wanted to get in close to really see the swarm in action, but she had not encountered them before and couldn't risk any violent behavioral tics from their end. Munchlax and her made do from afar, instead.
