Your powered-up Armor Cannon seems impressive, up until the point that the Kyurem White releases a Fusion Flare that completely and utterly dwarfs it. Fucking hell, it's just one thing after another, isn't it? And of course, none of the other so-called "Legendary" Pokemon are able to do anything. It's a good thing that horse was around to cut it in half, or else you'd all be up shit creek right now. Even then, the heat of the attack passing overhead is unbearable, and that leaves you distracted against Hoopa's own counterattack.

With the ice already unsteady from the sheer heat of the Fusion Flare, the deluge of meteors and lasers cause it to start breaking beneath your feet. You try to lurch for safety, but it's already too late. You can barely manage a step before the ground shatters beneath your feet and sends you tumbling into the chasm below.

"SHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT!"

"Arceus Damn!"

CRASH. Both you and Armarouge land "safely" at the bottom, in a sense of the word. It certainly hurts like hell, but at the very least, nothing seems to be broken. With a groan, you scramble up to your feet and look around your surroundings, only to be greeted by the uncaring neon gazes of hundreds on hundreds of equine robots manifesting from the Tera Crystals.

And they don't seem to be particularly friendly.

Immediately, an Iron Leaves rushes to trample you, and you throw yourself out of the way. After two Armor Cannons, Armarouge is all but spent, so you're going to have to switch it up a little. With one tap, you return the knight to her Pokeball, and with another very hasty tap, you send out your ace in this hole.

"▂▂▃▃▄▄▅▅!" Slither Wing lets out an incomprehensible roar as it bursts from its Pokeball, spreading its wings wide as it summons forth a localised Sunny Day within the chasm. "▂▂▃▃▄▄▅▅▃▃▄▄▅▅!!!"


TL;DR - Shred falls into the chasm, doesn't have a nice time, is attacked by robots, and sends out Slither Wing who sets up Sunny Day.

The FUSION FLARE frees their pokemon, the only benefit of such a terrible attack. Keldeo transforms just as the chasm erupts with metal legendaries. Copies of the Swords of Justice. "I'll tell you if I can think of anything while I'm down there." he said clapping a hand on her shoulder as he glanced at . [break][break]

"I'm going in, to get a better look and to help wall those fuckers in. Those Paradoxes are extremely dangerous out the gate." he said as he moved forward, Hoppe TELEPORTing him away. Joules beeps in preparation, blasting a FLASH CANON directly at the paradoxes, slamming back an IRON BOULDER in the process. [break][break]

"It's looking like the same thing as what you reported from the Walking Wake incident." He said to the councilwoman over the comms.

As the team of Rocket he surrounds himself with unleash their might against the invaders he takes careful notice of 's Regice one more time as it unleashes its power. Even standing near it he can feel the cold coming off its body, its comparable to Kyurem's almost. Its the only saving grace he has as the Fusion Flare suddenly flies past them and the frozen Pokemon freeing them and warming up the battlefield even for a little bit.

The cold may have stopped by now they had to deal with Tera Crystals flying right at them as well as strange mechanical copies of the Swords of Justice springing out from the distortion to attack them. Another blaze kick kicks away an Iron Leaves and sends it tumbling back into the pit it came from. A victory that is cut short due to 's screaming into whatever communicator she carries with her.

Catching these Paradoxes would prove useful to Rocket he couldn't deny that. It meant more power on their side. It probably meant he could garner more power for himself if he had one on his side. "Mind if I help ya out? All I ask is I get to keep one for myself." He asks the crazy so called Paradox Enthusiast of Rocket as he looks towards the horde of mechanical beasts. With a hand extended out his Lucario rushes off to fight more and cut them down.

It was counter productive yes, but right now he needed to ride out this battle to the end and this was the path of least resistance right now.

For a moment, it felt like everything was going to be alright. Thomas smiled as he took in Desiree's warm embrace. Then Yuina's screams snapped him back to reality. And before Kalameet could pick them up, the Hoopa sent Desiree flying. Thomas could only look on in horror, as he watched the woman he loved get hit by the beast.

"Desiree!", Thomas called out, racing over in a panic.

Thankfully, she got up on her own, adrenaline kicking in.

"Thank Arceus!", Thomas exclaimed, before helping her onto the back of Kalameet, then getting on himself.

Upon reaching them, Thomas looked over to Isaac. For a moment, the tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife. He knew what he had done to the ex-Rocket, his actions sending the young man down the dark path he walked. Thankfully, the task at hand allowed them to work together for once.

"Yeah, I got a Clawitzer with Heal-", Thomas began.

Then Thomas spotted the hand.

"Isaac, get down!", he called out to the Avatar, pushing him out of the path of the punch, being flung back in his place.

A human-shaped indent was left in the snow, where he had landed. Kalameet hastily flew over to check on his master. Thomas groaned in pain as he got up. "You fucker.", Thomas muttered, his anger towards the Unbound Hoopa intensifying.

He'd get up just in time to spot the Kyurem-Reshiram hybrid unleashing a Fusion Flare. The attack, which threatened to wipe them out, was thankfully interrupted by Keldeo, who transformed themselves.

The fact that the Fusion Flare thawed out all of the imprisoned Pokemon, burning them in the process, wasn't missed on Thomas. But rather than celebrate his hunch being correct, he knew they had business to attend to. Artanis, freed from their icy prison, spotted Kalameet, and rushed over to reunite with the dragon.

An Iron Boulder emerging from the crater attempted to attack the group. Kalameet, spotting this, blasted it back with a Dragon Pulse.

SQUAWK! Howard cuts the radio, only to still hear 's screaming. Was she a fool? Bleating on about her plans for everyone to hear. Not that many would listen with the war raging around them. Hoopa was vanishing. Kyurem was wounded. Prophecies had been uttered. Space would mend and time would bend.

He watched Hoopa, Keldeo, and Kyurem dance. Old ones were awakening. Shadows were stirring. A new age of wonder was upon Hoenn, an age of legends and heroes.

And he got to witness it all. His phantom eye twitched. Xenon was still bleating.

"Stupid woman." His voice frosted from behind his helmet. Despite the Fusion Flare, the immediate vicinity around Regice was as bone-chilling as ever. His eye gazed at the Tera Crystals that surrounded them all. "There's such a thing as keeping cards close to the chest for a reason."

He closed his eye and chattered his teeth. He wanted to run away and hide, and yet...

"I suppose she's just as excited as me for what is next to come."

He couldn't blame her for that. Instead, he turned to face the oncoming hoard of Paradox Pokémon. Machines. Complex, unknowable machines. He didn't hate these ones as much as he did from the past. Those were mockeries of his passion, what he loved and cared about. These were simply hunks of metal.

And metal could break.

"You're up, Regice." Howard took a seat on a hunk of rubble and let the Legendary do its duty. It truly was a spectacular treasure. Pokémon, he corrected himself again. He had seen it weep. Regice had emotions, somewhere deep down.

All the same, Howard didn't need to train it. Regice was simply powerful, no strings attached. The automaton flattened the terrain around it with a Superpower. Metal groaned and bent under weight that could crack continents.

"You're going to collaborate with her. Seriously?" Howard asked from his seat of rubble. "Working with terrorists doesn't bother you? Offer's still on the table."

Shred is gone within seconds as he stumbles his way into the abyss, Xenon considers joining him briefly to get closer to the Paradoxes flooding forth, she really does thing about leaping into that man's arms just so she could run into the future from which they spawn and embrace oblivion in whatever form it may come.

But familiar voices snap her from her reverie, the Caterpie guy and the annoying archaeologist chime in and pull her focus back to the present. At least this time he's speaking some sort of sense, a language she could understand well as she looks to him with manic eyes. "You're more than welcome to take as many as you can! It's an all you can eat buffet of the future, gorge yourself on this lovely slice of time until your stomach explodes and you bloom into a beautiful rose of Ultramodernism! And once you do, feel free to bring yourself over to our lab, take in all the sights as I dissect these beautiful legends of the future!"

Her eyes flick to Howard, her boss for the time being, as he scolds her about secrecy and volume. But there's no real venom in his voice, she can see it through the eye hole of his mask. Even if he doesn't want to admit it, he's almost as excited as she is by this development. That golem of ice flies across the battlefield to flatten the machines with its overwhelming strength, her beloved Rhodium joins in slaughtering its brethren as it takes to the sky and starts letting loose with a barrage of Dark Pulses on every machine it could see. The attacks are especially effective in shutting the mechanical swords down in no time flat, almost as if it knew the darkness would be especially effective against these psychic creatures. Reviewing the footage it recorded later would be most interesting for her.

"He's right you know! We're not just terrorists over here, we're scientists and researchers passionate about building a better future! The proof is in the pudding, if these mechanical monstrosities exist it's almost guaranteed that I succeed in the future right?"

Before he could make it to the safety of the treeline, Victor halted as the world around him was washed in radiant flame. [break][break]

For the briefest of moments, it called to mind a story that he had heard long ago, of an angry god commanding it's people to leave a burning city, and to avert their gaze as they departed. For those foolish enough to disobey the wrathful deity, they were transformed into pillars of salt, dotting the landscape as macabre reminders not to disobey the divine. And while Victor wasn't a stupid man and would never disrespect a being with greater authority than his own, he was also dangerously, lethally, curious. [break][break]

So that's how he found himself turning in time to see the Keldeo cleave the FUSION FLARE in twain, to see Hoopa strike it's LASER and fire recklessly into the chasm lined with tera crystals, and to see the mechanical monstrosities begin to blip into existence all across the battlefield. On the bright side, it gave him ample time to see the robotic facsimile of Virizion materialize just a few yards away from him. On the down side, he almost wished that he hadn't seen the way the green automaton, whirring to life, fixed him with cold, murderous intent. Victor could practically hear the servos thrumming as the creature began to bound towards him. [break][break]

He shrieked, realizing that the thing was far faster than him, and he had no means to outrun the robotic assailant. Victor hastily dug into his pocket for one of the few other Poke Balls he had brought with him and flung it at the Iron Leaves, loosing a fearful cry, [break][break]

“Galahad! Please, protect me!” [break][break]

In a flash of red light, a Gallade materialized onto the snowy plain, extending an arm just in time to meet the Iron Leaves' clashing LEAF BLADE. [break][break]

In the heat of the battle, Jack saw Hoopa hit and . That instinctual panic hit him as the fists struck true but before he could make his way to them, others were already responding. Struggling toward them through the blizzard and focused on his fellow trainers, he was wholly unprepared for the unleashed Fusion Flare.[break][break]

Energy erupted around him though did not harm him, thanks to Keldeo's intervention. Instead, he was thrown down into the snow while frigid winds whipped snow into his face. Releasing his Stonjourner, he used the pokemon's study legs for support as Jack got back to his feet and approached the Head Ranger. As he opened his mouth to ask for orders, the brilliant flash of the tera crystals temporarily blinded him. When his vision returned, more foes had appeared on the field.[break][break]

"Stonjourner, protect us!" he ordered as the Big Rock Pokemon stepped forward, spreading a wide guard around the party. Waves of energy radiated outward from the pokemon's power spot, boosting the strength of those fighting.[break][break]

The HEAL PULSE from 's Altaria sank into Gunner's body, easing the pain of his bruises and closing any superficial cuts. His ribs were probably still cracked, but at least he could move without wincing. [break][break]

"I'm okay," he said, to both Annalise and as the councilwoman drew near. Turning once more to Annalise, he gave her a grateful smile, which froze upon seeing the silent reproach in her eyes as she gazed at Penelope. [break][break]

Gunner managed to blurt out a mumbled, "Thank you," before extricating himself from that tense exchange. He was almost thankful for the distraction of battle as Kyurem's FUSION FLARE heralded the emergence of more foes. [break][break]

"Kahadin, link up your shield with Stonjourner's!" the agent shouted over the howl of blizzard winds as 's Stonjourner put up a protective barrier. His Iron Valiant obeyed, extending the WIDE GUARD around them with one of its own. [break][break]

In the distance, Gunner caught sight of something unexpected: Amhar flying across the battlefield to return to his side. As the dragon drew near, he saw a horrible burn on the Hydreigon's flank. [break][break]

"Good job out there," Gunner said before recalling Amhar into his Pokéball. [break][break]
