Robin raced up while all the folks who'd gotten there first already jumped in. She was used to working with strangers when it came to such scary and potentially catastrophic forces of nature, but she was pleased to see her Rival here. "Greyson!" She greeted with cheer before putting on her game face.

She waved her arm emphatically, a Comfey wrapped at her wrist. "Peep this!" She instructed the fairy to terastallize as it launched leech seeds at the giant. "Mine's cooler than yours," she said smugly, proud of how far her Comfey had come in such a short time.

It just couldn't be that simple, could it - first were titanic sentinels scouring the desert, and now a steel goliath dominated these sands! Registeel seemed to tower higher than anything that they'd seen in prior treks through here - and it looked to have attracted a crowd of folks; both fellow titan hunters and travelers.

They let out a heavy sigh. It was unlikely that this one would be any easier to persuade than the other titans that had lurked here. At least they had a pokemon that'd work here, as they noted the Grassy Terrain from that spread across the ground. And not only that, but it seemed like there was someone - one whom they recognized, in fact! - in a bit of trouble!

"Shield them, Shagaru - Giga Drain!"

Like a sun born again, the Volcarona emerged - and it wasted no time in letting loose a Giga Drain against the Registeel, using the offered vitality to help cover for the Chesnaught!

As if the Bronzong wasn't bad enough, now there was a legendary Pokémon staring them down. Josh couldn't have picked a worse day to train with his Gogoat. He and his Pokémon were already worn down from their previous battle, and to defeat such a titan seemed impossible in his state. One swipe of that metallic arm, even to his good side, would cause permanent damage to his bad arm, if not outright slaying him.

He couldn't back down, though. He was a Champion. It was his duty, scary as it was, to fight to the bitter end for the League.

"LEAF BLADE, Nitro!" Josh commanded, taking cover the best he could from the falling rocks. He kept one eye on his Pokémon and the other above him. Though his racing helmet's visor would block much of the sandstorm, it would be powerless against the many boulders raining down around him. With a leap, the Gogoat sliced toward the metal construct with his natural weapon.

He doesn't need to speak to his husband to know that this is some shit. The creature reminds him of Regice. Would be able to secure another of these metal golems for Rocket?[break][break]

Wait, that didn't sound right. How long had this over-sized tin can been out here? Eddie contemplated this as he joined the other trainers that had come to drive the giant Registeel back. The Torterra at his side huffed with consideration, peering up at the iron Goliath, [break][break]

“Whaddya think, Lusi?” Eddie asked, scratching at his chin as he too looked up at the Registeel and contemplated its riddle, “The answer's gotta be STEEL, right? 'Less it's Ground, 'cause Ground technically beats Rock and Steel-” [break][break]

by the time kasper had dragged themself away from the battle with the golurk, feeling like they were going to have sand in their hair for the next month, they almost didn't see it at first. mostly because they weren't thinking to look.

"you're kidding." but a look around confirms that no, nobody'ds kidding, and yes, that is registeel. as in...the registeel. they think they should say something as they fumble for a pokeball, but the first words that come from them isn't the heroic thing they were hoping for. the glowing light isn't anything kasper is used to, but they can make out some of what the others are saying. "it's something about steel, right?" they hope the fact that they've blatantly stolen the answer isn't obvious. just in case it is, they release the sylveon anyway.

Of course there was a bigger fish. There was always a fucking bigger fish. Oscar thought the titans from before were a pain, but this new one was actually insane. It looked like the twisted Steel relative of regice, born from the nightmares of every pokemon Oscar had melted down for scrap. Oscar grimaced, feeling more than a little reluctant to take on such a horrific giant after what he had already been through.

Yet all he had to do was look to Babayaga for reassurance. The decidueye was undeterred by this new threat, looking on as the titan began its attack. The owl looked to Oscar, nodding to confirm its lack of fear. It shall do what it always does: fight to its fullest. As fate would have it, the handful of dynergy infused titans that awoke from deep below the desert sands were only an omen, a precursor for what was to come. There was something more slumbering beneath the desert, and as its titans began to fall, it stirred....[break][break]
Amidst the heated desert, the impossibly large Golem was the real threat. If it left the desert, there was no hope in being able to repair what it would devastate...[break][break]
Through the onslaught of sandstorms, falling rocks, and other ancient debris was telling enough. Yuina shielded her eyes from a mass of swirling sands as she trudged through the desert landscape amongst the whole of everyone that was caught trying to quell the titans. Someone beside her, a man she had never met before, was at risk of a rock barreling right towards him and his Pokemon.[break][break]
She sent her Venusaur forward, and the lumbering grass type bellowed as it released a flurry of Leech Seed that sprouted a large thrush of leaves and vines, an attempt to catch the rock before it struck.
