Caleb watches the combined attacks of his and 's Pokemon dissipate as the inevitability of Necrozma's overwhelming power bears down upon them all. A single, cold fact resonates as Caleb turns away from the destruction: he isn't strong enough to compete with and his God.[break][break]
It's painful to admit, horrific to endure, but he isn't going to throw his life away until he can be absolutely certain he can take Zev with him.[break][break]
And today is not that day.[break][break]
"Fall back, Ollie!" He urges, passing by the Head Ranger and . "We can't do anything about Necrozma, but we can still help Freya with Kyogre."[break][break]
He doesn't wait for a reply, Lyra speeding through the water as fast as she can - towards the divine Leviathan and its festering malice. He tracks Rayquaza, their descent a shooting star of draconic might, and he feels a surge of something half-way-hopeful because surely, this will be enough to end their collective suffering, bring peace to an island drowning in vengeful tears.[break][break]
He's looking right at her when she falls.[break][break]
"When the time comes, when I ask you to do the impossible, you remember this and you trust me.*"

A new voice joins the chorus of howling winds, agony laced with defiance, and Caleb bears witness to the reckless last-ditch effort of a woman he recognizes, even though he is certain he has never met her. Maybe it's the wild look in her eyes (relatable), maybe it's the way she's launching herself off the back of the Mega-Rayquaza (must have been with Freya?), or maybe it's just the cognitive dissonance finally getting to him - driving him to a point of no return (Galar? Hoenn? Kanto? There are too many ghosts to count).[break][break]
He can't save Freya, but he can save her.[break][break]
Daisy appears in a flash of golden light, and Caleb directs the Dragonite up - towards Kyogre's mortal assailant. Her wings beat back the storm and a SAFEGUARD surrounds , and from the shell of his Mega-Lapras Caleb swallows, licks his lips, gathers his breath.[break][break]

's concern is uncalled for, unnecessary, and out of place on this battlefield, though a small part of him appreciates the sentiment.[break][break]

How long had it been since they had begun? Since they both lost themselves in the thrill of battle and let their primal instincts take over? It was almost savage-like how they had managed to resort to such beastly-like mannerisms and behaviors.

[break][break] At some point intricate battle strategies gave way to hard honed instincts. The fighting that was taking place here was something unlike anything Victoria had ever experienced before. And somehow, within that train of thought, while sinking, she couldn't help the strain that came to the forefront of her mind.

[break][break] Understanding.

[break][break]


[break][break] For the first time in years, she believed she finally understood just what it was that her father, , had tried so hard to keep her away from. To protect her from. But Victoria Beckett was a proud and stubborn woman by nature. She would've resisted with all her might and fought hard to win the approval and attention from the one who sacrificed and cared for her. Buried deep within her heart, that desire for affection would twist and morph into an irrational fear of abandonment and uselessness.

[break][break] After all, time and time again the child had only seen the direct result and consequence of failure and powerlessness. Who's to say she wouldn't be left broken, bleeding, and alone just like all the other's who fell at her feet? Thus began the girl's obsession with strength and power. It was the only thing she could truly cling to when all other's would fail to remain by her side. The one constant that would never betray her with honied false promises.

[break][break] She believed through sheer determination she could will her desires into fruition. How naive she must've been. For the girl quickly learned the bitter taste of defeat and devastation. Each flaming lick of loss she suffered only further littered her ego with bruises and scars. Before long the occurrences became too constant to be considered mere...accidents.

[break][break] Then the crippling paranoia set in...

[break][break] The venomous voice that whispered dark thoughts in her ears, that was once but a whisper, now commanded the authority and direct attention of her mind. It told her it was only a matter of time before they left her for good. That this was her last chance. That if she didn't shape up she'd end up like the cold crumpled husks of everyone she trampled on to get here.

[break][break] Oh, how fitting it would be to see the mighty hung so low...

[break][break] Tori had no choice but to bend the knee and submit to other authorities. As if the swallowing of her pride wasn't enough she was forced to seek the aid of those traitors that had crippled her so. Like . Like .

[break][break] ..... Like .

[break][break] Seeing the ice boulder smash into the form of her enemy and cause her to fall was like the direct physical manifestation of all her hard work coming to pass. Had this been the right way after all? For all she toiled and labored tirelessly after the pursuit of something so familiar yet foreign like 'strength'. Was this truly all it took?

[break][break] The feeling Tori felt in that moment, watching as the direct cause of her actions bore their ripened fruit, was hard to put into simple words. She was overcome with a multitude of intense emotions that flooded her very being all at once. But the main one at the forefront of it all was...euphoria.

[break][break]


[break][break] 'Ah, so this is it. This is bliss.' she thought to herself.

[break][break] That feeling gave way to shock as she watched the primal leviathan swallow the woman whole before diving back into the water's depths. The impact from the dive caused massive waves to ripple and find their way to Tori and her opponent as their bitter struggle was resumed once more.

[break][break] Tori's lungs burned for air as she continued to resist in order to trap her opponent beneath the waves. Meanwhile her Arctovish finally lost the fight against the Zygarde. It's OUTRAGE assault proved too much to handle. But Tori wasn't upset. She had been surprised it had lasted as long as it had, after all it had to contend with the likes of prior to this devastating bout.

[break][break] Suddenly, life seemed to return to her opponent in some sort of unthinkable force. He yanked and tugged on her before finally managing to throw her off. The impact of it all caused Tori to gasp for air only to have saltwater fill her lungs. As panic began to set in she noticed the familiar figure of her Phione, who had left their pokeball of their own will seemingly sensing that it's trainer needed it's help.

[break][break] Leading her to the surface Tori broke free gasping and gulping for air. But she wasn't allowed a moments rest before her opponent was on top of her once more. The waters depths were steadily declining but with each moment the blows he made against her were heavier and heavier than before.

[break][break] Tori would be lying if she said that the exhaustion of constant combat hadn't begun to creep up within her but she had no choice but to endure. The alternative...was truly no option at all. His blows broke bones and fractured other's as she felt the familiar metallic taste of blood gather in her mouth.

[break][break] Somewhere in between all of that the faintest of breezes caressed her face. She wasn't aware at first but the moment she found her opponent hesitate the realization hit her like a ton bricks.

[break][break] "Tori?" he called out as he looked upon her in disbelief. Tori, on the other hand, faltered as her hands flew to her face. Touching in disbelief before she realized that her mask had been ripped off by his hands. That's when everything began to piece together for her. He was so familiar because she had met him before. Hell...she even had 'enjoyed' his presence.

[break][break] "...Roy." she said through gritted teeth. It was truly unfortunate, but there was no love or friendship in bitter war. Now that it had come to this and her cover was blown there was truly only one thing that could be done now. The very thing she had been doing since the beginning.

[break][break]


[break][break] Violet eyes narrowed into a glare as she refocused on her opponent with new resolve. She couldn't allow him to walk free now that he knew her identity. Her claws had been lost to the waves long ago but Tori was always equipped with an abundance of tools at her disposal.

[break][break] Chain scythes were at her side in moments as she tightened her grip on them. Within moments she was upon Roy again, but this time, her resolve was even stronger than it had been before. If she must take the man down before her than so be it. She'd do so by any means necessary. Neri, her Phione, lurked in the waters and when her trainer decided to strike they did as well. Transparent soundwaves were released in the form of a SUPERSONIC soundwave towards the 10% Zygarde and it's trainer.

[break][break] Somewhere in the back of Tori's mind she couldn't help but think that this was all such a shame now that she knew who he was.

tl;dr: Tori has front row seats to the consequences of her actions. Watched as Freya gets vored by Kyogre due to her actions. Arctovish faints after final outrage from 10% Zygarde. Tori continues to struggle against her opponent but the lethargy is catching up to her. During the exchange her mask gets ripped off and she's 'discovered' by her opponent who she finally recognizes. Double's down on her stance and fights him with new weapon: chain scythe (yes, tori is a walking arsenal #narutobelieveit) Phione uses SUPERSONIC.

a blast from kyogre knocks him out of the branch of the dyna tree, throwing him down from the lower branches. the strength from the dyna fruit might have given him enough to withstand a direct hit, but it's the least of the damage that it needs to worry about.

entei is no ho-oh. it is nothing but an ember of a flame-- a remnant of the greatness that performed miracles comparable to stories of fantasies.

this front is to be abandoned. there is no more hope in this angle, and another venture might be needed to find another glimpse of victory for the entei's fleeting dreams.

eyes befell in her trubbish's final moments. despair welled on the individual, but entei is aware of consequences regarding the meddling of affairs. he has done more than what he already should have had.

entei turns and leaves her, brought across precarious waters with legs of extreme speed barely breaking water tension.

it takes one last glance of the chaos from the last surfacing tops of the crater's ridges by the west. it knows as much as those involved in this particular chapter's affairs about what happens next, and to experience it is the greatest honor it can bestow with its current situation.

Coated in frost from the multiple attacks that had struck it, the BLACK YIN rages despite its newly acquired injuries. However, when it sees KYOGRE swallow whole, it is distracted just long enough for the enemy NAGANADEL to launch its attack without interruption.[break][break]

Seem like his avoidance of the other since the loss of Reshiram was warranted if this was how he felt. Though the rage seemed off from the Remiel he had come to know. A familiar rage he once felt when his paths once crossed the man he once saw as a cousin, was fighting with Remiel before this? A thought he didn't have the time to linger on as the other terastallized and teleported as he spoke about cleansing the world of Rocket. A notion he feels he'll have to talk to the Elite Ranger about considering the Amnesty Program after all of this.[break][break]

When he reappears he isn't in good enough position to defend himself. Not physically or vocally as he wants to explain that this wasn't what it looked like. That the other shouldn't just assume things right off the back, yet Theo gets in the way. Both to protect him from the attack and seemingly speak for him. "That isn't how this is!" he barks back, at the two of them. He was no traitor, not to the league and while he was embracing his name and deal with theo. His old personally feelings toward his old mentor maybe making him trying harder than he probably needed to, but mentally he tells himself its for Reshiram and his own convictions.[break][break]

With his trainer in danger due to the other Ranger's Garchomp Royal would do what it could to try and stop the other dragon in their tracks with another ICE BEAM. Its now Ice-Typing due to PROTIEN hopefully giving it enough of a boost to at least reduce what would happen to his trainer. [break][break]

Remiel falls yet Raziel knows this wasn't the end. Fate was too cruel for that as the last time and him had actually crossed paths it was during the battle for the comet back on Mt. Prye. Now, despite all the people here in sootopolis, it was with Remiel that he was having to fight against again. Even with his connection with Reshiram cut their fighting felt inevitable, so he knows the teleport will come, but not for him, but for the one holding the light stone. [break][break]

He's quick to move himself over toward Theo waiting for the avatar activating the sygna suits SPECIAL SHIELD to reduce the damage of anything the other could probably dish out. As predicted Remiel teleports and Raziel is now in the way as he take the ELECTRIFYING GRIP. Raziel doing his best to take hold of the other with his rubbered gloved hand to keep him close he forms a WATER SHURIKEN in his other hand, "I'm sorry," he says through pained, gritted teeth before he would use it to try and stab the other with the shuriken. Having been trained to kill Razz knows where to avoid for a fatal blow, he just needs to cause pain and make them retreat. [break][break]

Or maybe its enough that would change tactics, either way Raziel has no choice but to obey. [break][break]

His attack hits a lot of the league's forces. And some of rockets, but they'll be alright. A tough bunch they are. [break][break]

However it seems his move managed to get kyogre's attention. His efforts are rewarded with an origin pulse that sends him flying away from the tree branch and into the receeding water. [break][break]

Audino dives into the water after him and pulls him, from the angle he was shot from, the blast sent him flying towards D-3( Near ).[break][break]

He's out cold currently, the blood loss from the attack launched earlier and the force of the Origin pulse slamming into him was enough to make him pass out. The Audino channels a HEAL PULSE with the last bit of energy left in it's mega evolution to try and at least stabilize him before seeing a person nearby with special abilities pulling people out of the water. [break][break]

Audino cries out in his direction to try and get his attention, unaware it was .[break][break]

At least one more lost soul makes itself known to him. As the bodies of the drowned and half-dead are pulled onto his metal platform moving across the water, an Audino waves him over. Pushing himself there, the dead man walking looks down at the body presented to him.[break][break]
“Mother of Mew.” He half mutters the words in open, honest amazement. , in the flesh. Knocked out. Right there. The man’s Audino seems to sense his thoughts and Navy raises a hand.[break][break]
“Listen to me. If I kill Delarosa, he’ll be awake. He’ll be facing me. He’ll be armed.” His eyes shift to Zacian as the words are exclaimed through great effort. His world fades in and out of focus. The sheriff, still pierced with a glacial lance, longs to rest. Zacian and Navy regard one another. She weighs his words, remembers his promise, and bows her head.[break][break]
There is no honor in killing an unconscious man. There is nothing moral or just about such a death. Though Navy does not know him, he will not give this length of rope to hang him with.[break][break]
Bryan is picked up with gentle magnetic force, hoisted by a loose rod pulled from the water, and laid alongside the others. Audino is welcomed aboard and he makes for the League’s fleet.

Location: D4 -> E3 (potentially farther, up to Shiv). Navy is flagged down by Bryan's Audino. Arrests Bryan (coincidentally placing him under the sheriff's protection per the man's honor), pulls him onto his metal platform, and moves toward the League's fleet through the fighting. Unless specifically targeted, I justify him making it through the lines via Zacian running interference on attacks and Origin Pulses as needed. Pilo gave his permission for the capture.

Makoto is nearly thrown from Ryuu's back, as the Origin Pulse slams into the water adjacent to them - and even if it isn't a direct hit, even that isn't saying much. The force that explodes outwards in its wake slams the two into the side of a building, followed shortly by waves that buffet them around. Makoto can feel the burn of water having gone down the wrong way, forcing them to cough and splutter and gag as they cling to the Kingdra for dear life...

... This has, officially, gone beyond their paygrade they feel. And they take comfort when even seems to agree to some extent, an out being offered in his words.

It is sorely tempting. They could go to the submarine, and dust their hands of all of this fighting. But, at the same time, to simply abandon the city when there is so much that could be done...

... With a deep inhale, Makoto directs Ryuu away from the fighting, spurred on with an Agility. Even if there was no point in clashing with League anymore, and even if they did not want to test their luck against the gods any further, there were others in need. Civilians, that still remain in danger.

(There is a part of them, that wonders if Erebus would be able to even the odds.

There is another part of them, that feels the urge to throw up again as they think to what happened in Mossdeep.)
TLDR: Makoto starts at F2, moves for G2 , and is disguised. Makoto and Kingdra are both banged up + knocked around by the Origin Pulse - and with 's advice, they decide to steer away from the fighting of the gods to instead shift their focus to helping civilians/innocent pokemon, spurred on with Agility.
