ROCKET RAID
PVP
SETTING: EARLY-FEBRUARY

[break][break]
exposition
ROCKET’S SUBMARINE STIRS AWAKE as reports from dormant and active spies in the league begin to pass by word of mouth. Everyone’s favorite warship grows rowdy and loud, causing even the most fearless of water-types to swim away from its path. No one seems to catch any sleep that night, but the following day, an official message from none other than the organization’s new boss, DECLAN WALSH, is sent.
[break][break]
Similarly, a small number of elite trainers from the league are contacted and asked to provide aid to the security team in preparation for a cargo-ship that's meant to dock in Lilycove during the weekend.
[break][break]
LILYCOVE MUSEUM is a house to many secrets, and Team Rocket seems to have taken interest in acquiring one of those before it's too late.
[break][break][break][break]
INFORMATION
CALL OF THE SIREN is a rocket-centered raid with a focus on the organization springing back into action following the
THREE DAYS WAR and the
BLACKOUT OF SLATEPORT. Taking advantage of the inner turmoil that was caused by the Megalopolan invasion, Team Rocket seeks to attack and infiltrate before the League is done recovering. Should they be successful in procuring their objective, they will be rewarded.[break][break][break]
Sign-ups will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis, with a couple of special requirements that your character must meet in order to qualify and sign-up for the raid. The participant slots
are limited. The majority of participants will also be Rocket-aligned characters, and only a small number of selected slots will be available for League characters. [break][break][break]

RULES
EVENT FORMAT
THIS EVENT IS A RAID EVENT, meaning there will be moderator posts between rounds of posting. There is no posting order but they must be posted by the deadline indicated in the mod post. A failure to adhere to these deadlines will result in removal from the event. As a head's up, expect this raid to run for as long as up to
THREE MONTHS.[break][break][break]
In order to keep things easy for other players and the moderator, please keep your posts brief, if possible. Include a
TOO LONG; DIDN'T READ summary with each post. The TL;DR should include any actions you want the moderator to consider for the round.[break][break][break]
You will only be allowed to bring
2 or 3 POKEMON with you, depending on your squad. Each character is only allowed to perform
2 MOVES PER ROUND unless otherwise stated. [break][break][break]
Occasionally, you will be prompted to
ROLL in response to an obstacle or action. To roll, use the roll command (dice icon).[break][break][break]
Lastly, this event is
DEATH-ENABLED. This means your Pokemon have a chance to die, and your characters may have a chance of dying as well. However, such circumstances will always be prompted with a prior warning, allowing your character (and others) to react! Realistically, character death is highly unlikely.

RULE CHANGES
[break]1. NO WIP POSTS
Posts should be near completion when posted. You may edit your post afterward for typos, minor details, and formatting, but they should be filled out enough that the moderator and other players do not need to refer back to your post after you are done editing. This includes posting your roll prior to your actual posts. [break][break][break]
2. EARLY POST ADVANTAGE
In rounds that require members to roll, those who post first will be given a small modifier. This is to accommodate for the fact that these players will not have a chance to respond to subsequent posts until after the moderator posts. Modifier details will be stated in the moderator post. This may apply to more than just rolls and there may also be penalties for posts that occur close to the deadline. [break][break][break]
3. STAT BOOSTS DO NOT STACK
Stat boosts will not stack in the same manner that they do through game logic. Applying stat boosts repeatedly will only extend or refresh the time frame that they're applied. This is still freeform and will be operated under the moderator's judgment. For example, using
AGILITY to increase your speed while running away may result in your Pokemon slowing down to regular speed after a post or two. Using
AGILITY again will cause them to return to sprinting, not increasing their run speed past what it was during your first post. [break][break][break]
4. DO NOT ASSUME YOUR OWN SUCCESS
There will be many situations where your character will have to interact with an object, situation, or others. Do not assume your actions will succeed. Due to the nature of the dungeon, some attacks may fail or work differently. Something as simple as trying to Mega Evolve might fail and backfire if the situation arises. You may always ask the moderator for clarification or for advice as to how things will play out. [break][break][break]
RAID SQUADS
RAID SQUAD INFORMATION
THERE WILL BE TWO SQUADS of Rocket characters, each tasked with a different mission to complete. However, the League will have only
ONE SQUAD of characters that respond to the Rocket threat.[break][break][break]
1. INFILTRATION SQUAD
TRUE TO THEIR NATURE, this Rocket squad will operate in the shadows and rely on the diversion created by the other Rocket squad. They are expected to infiltrate the ship and reach a specific cargo that's meant to be stolen. Led by Underboss
Cillian Quinn , each member was cherry-picked with this goal in mind. However, the ship is not defenseless and there will be obstacles and NPCs that the squad is expected to overcome. Should they fail to do so, the League Squad could reach them in time in order to stop them from acquiring the cargo in question.
This squad is less likely to face PVP obstacles until towards the end of the raid. However, that's not to say that their job is any easier.[break][break]
The cargo, as expected, is the main reward of this raid.
Both factions will be able to win it. IC Actions matters and will determine who takes it. The suspected outcome is that the raid will wrap up with the prize being revealed, transferred to the care of the winning faction.
In the future, this may be followed up on.[break][break]
MEMBERS OF THE INFILTRATION SQUAD: Cillian Quinn ,
Lulu Flint , @alek ,
Remiel Calcifet ,
Emma Wolfe .[break][break][break]
2. DIVERSION SQUAD
PURE DESTRUCTION is the name of the game. The diversion squad, led by Underboss
Chu-e Choi , is important to this operation no less than its sister squad. Their work, good or bad, will result in the Infiltration Squad having to deal with either more or fewer obstacles. They will be taking the fight straight to the League's doorstep, tasked with distracting the
LEAGUE SQUAD for as long as possible. Rocket will rely on the squad's performance and victory can only be assured should they be successful with this endeavor.[break][break]
This squad will be engaging in the PVP elements of the raid from start to finish.[break][break]
In addition, the Diversion Squad is also likely to join the
INFILTRATION SQUAD towards the end of the raid.[break][break]
MEMBERS OF THE DIVERSION SQUAD: Chu-e Choi ,
Valerio Dachev ,
oscar clayton ,
bryan delarosa ,
jayden cross .[break][break][break]
3. LEAGUE SQUAD
FOR UNMATCHED FAME AND OUTSTANDING MERIT, you've been selected as one of the elite trainers recruited for this job by the League. Although details about the cargo itself have been kept secret, you've been assured that the League is keen on keeping it. The
THREE DAYS WAR and the
BLACKOUT OF SLATEPORT both contributed to keeping the League on edge, prompting it to hire certain trainers for this job.[break][break][break]
Similar to the
DIVERSION SQUAD, this squad will be engaging in the PVP elements of the raid from start to finish.[break][break]
Due to the nature of the raid itself, this squad will have the smallest number of members, but that's not to say the odds are stacked against them. Members of this squad will be allowed to bring an extra Pokemon, giving them a large number of options and moves to respond to enemy actions with.[break][break][break]
TO SIGN UP, please use the following code and post in this thread before
FEBRUARY 7TH, 12AM PST.[break][break]
You
do not need to determine your Pokemon's moveset and abilities right away; however, please
lock them in before FEBRUARY 7TH. This is done to prevent players from altering their Pokemon in response to specific obstacles in the raid and to provide creative challenges for characters to overcome.[break][break]
The qualifications for the raid sign-ups are a bit different this time around. Your character is required to have 4 IC posts from the beginning of January. Adventour posts, solo-wild posts and safari posts do
not count for this qualification.[break][break]
In addition, due to the nature of this raid, League characters are required to have
150 Infamy or more in order to qualify for the
ELITE TRAINER status that they've been approached for. Due to the dangerous nature of this operation,
The League would avoid hiring characters below the age of 18, meaning that they shouldn't sign up as well.[break][break]
Currently, the number of participants from Rocket is limited to
TEN, and the number of participants from League is limited to
FOUR.[break][break][break]

Lastly, please do not try "meta-game" other players, distinguish between ic and ooc, and remember ic-actions will always have consequences, positive or not. Have fun with the plotting tools this raid provides you with![break][break]
