Hideo met back up with the others just in time to catch Bill Anderson successfully eliminate a killer. "Nice shot!" Hideo said, getting covered with some of the confetti that announced catching a killer.

He honestly didn't know most people well enough to know who to or not to trust - apart from the other Follies (that were still alive). And that still didn't tell him enough to know who was or wasn't the 2nd killer. No point in worrying about it now, though: they had more work to do, more obstacles to clear.

Hideo once again visited a nearby vending machine, purchasing a couple of Soda Pops. And with those in his arms, he was on to the next challenge: an overgrown path that would no doubt make it difficult for anyone to walk through.

So Hideo wasn't going to walk through it.

"Mind carrying us over that, Elga?" Hideo asked, his Beheeyem nodding. His Pokemon lifted the two of them over the path via Psychic, planning to just float over it all.

Who all was even left? John Sullivan and Hideo Kino remained, as well as Eris Halla . But they were truly the only people she knew better than just acquaintances. Perhaps it was a good idea to keep an eye on them anyway, never knew what might happen.[break][break]

Grabbing two cans of Soda Pop, Ruby simply continued forward on their quest to find a way out of this place. Perhaps, the strange Eject Button that Groove found while searching around would be of some assistance in the future? Regardless, Ruby takes a position in the middle of the group as they make their way towards the stone tower in the distance.[break][break]

Deciding to take the overgrown path, Ruby looked down at her Oranguru as she spoke. "Let's get through here, alright? Faster, the better." Sure enough, Groove would begin to use Psychic, flinging blasts of energy at the underbrush to attempt to strip the plants of their bite. At the same time, Groove also used Foul Play. It's ingenious brain attempting to utilize the power of the plants against themselves, ripping them apart.

Well, trigger-happy teammates aside, there was nowhere to go but forward.

They considered their options now, and settled on helping the others to forge a path through the woods. Free-Free wasn't exactly built for the more laborious task, but the Butterfree could at least keep the wild Pokemon in the area out of the way with his Stun Spore, spreading the paralyzing powder even further into the tree line with Gust.

"I have some ideas," he said to Katherine Fairburne . "And don't worry, I'm planning on cutting down the pool as quickly as possible." He winked at the woman, walking past her to get two Killer Killing Mach Bikes from the bike rack.

His Musharna floated over, taking a sleeping seat on one of the bikes, steering it with her bloodthirsty dreams of vehicular manslaughter. Or maybe she was dreaming of a ride along the Slateport boardwalk, and someone just happened to get in her way again. Shame.

"Good thing you were wearing those goggles last round," Bill said to MATIAS SILPH . "Otherwise who knows where that bullet would have landed. Gristly business all this, but sometimes to catch a killer you have to shoot a friend in the eye." Bill looked down at the Killer Killing Mach Bike he had in his hands. "Or hit them at high speed." He laughed at the great joke.

Bill and Musharna rode towards the overgrown path. The violent dreams of the psychic Pokemon tore through the vegetation, ripping a new hole through which they could easily ride. Bill let the psychic flow carry him along, whizzing along at well past a safe speed. Hopefully nobody got in his way.

"Oh goodness..." At the end of it, after a series of more bizarre events and revelations, Luka is left feeling only relief that her hunch was right, and that Bill Anderson is safe. Whew! She hadn't wasted her candy bar after all! But even so, her legs are slightly shaky as she picks her way forwards, steering away from the overgrown forest and towards the construction zone. [break][break]She's still wary after seeing what had happened to Melody Miro , but at least her 'death' was less explicitly gruesome. And with a moment to herself, Luka has some time to think. [break][break] She never thought she'd get this far. Honestly, she assumed she'd be picked off in the first couple of rounds! It's shocking, but she supposes she should make use of the time she's been given. With Plum at her side, they utilize another Calm Mind to strategize and get their bearings. [break][break]What to prioritize first? Surviving, probably. Luka doesn't think she has what it takes to win, not really, but perhaps she should try and gather her points to give her a better chance. Managing to make it out alive yet again, Derek took a good look around at those still playing the game with him. It could be anyone. Since he'd made it this far, his only real option was to keep playing for the endgame. And that meant safety first.

Purchasing more soda pop, Derek tucked on away while the other was cracked open for a drink. Next on the list was a bike. Pedaling to catch up with those who may be well ahead of him, Derek's Decidueye flew ahead. It used low sweep to glide low and substitute to mark the many obstructions ahead of him.

Everything happened so fast. Spotlights were on people and people were being shot at. Serena was too busy being impressed at all the drama to really be concerned about her own safety or anything. As soon as Kyle fell the announcer came over the loud speaker. "Unbelievable! BILL ANDERSON has killed THE KILLER!" Serena's eyes widened, "Holy shit," that was impressive. From being hunted to being a hunter. [break][break]

"AND SURVIVED TO TELL THE TALE! What gave it away, Bill?! How did you know Kyle was the one?!" Serena definitely wanted to know the answer to that but her attention was ripped away from the events to following a bulldozer carrying Melody away by her feet. It moves painstakingly slow and Serena slowly follows where it leads. "But isn't it going to--" she frowned before watching the bulldozer crash into a signpost and explode. [break][break]

Flinching at the impact she slowly blinked, that was extra. It was unfortunate her friend had to go out like that but, perhaps she'd be as generous in the afterlife as she was in the land of the living. She had hoped to use her reaper cloth that she purchased earlier to snag some goodies from Melody if she could. [break][break]

"Oh no! Melody! That seemed unnecessary. Well anyway, it seems you're not out of hot water yet, contestants," exclaims the speakers. "That makes two eliminations this round. It seems there's still at least one killer on the loose! So who's their next target?" That was true, those that were left still needed to make it out without being caught by the other killer. [break][break]

The hoarders and sightseers got to meet up once more. Once deciding their next plan of action the group makes their way forward. Or as much as they can before they're blocked again. Options? Go around or charge straight through. Once again Serena found herself looking danger in the face and it honestly sounded like the more fun option. [break][break]

Nodding at Junior the slipped off with the other thrill seeking few and waiting for other's to make the first move. Eyes narrowing as a girl and her pokémon made their way forward she pointed at them and Junior used MIMIC to copy CALM MIND so that Junior could lead them through the construction zone safely. [break][break]

Side-eyes.

After having managed to steal fat stacks of loot from a mother and her children without a drop of shame, the hoarders group returned just in time to see Bill Anderson unmask the killer- by shooting him in the face.

So wow'd he was by the discovery that kyle lopez was the killer, that by the time he remembered he had one of those fancy reaper cloths, the body had already been looted.

"Oh Come on!"

No time to complain however- another death occurred immediately.

Melody's death was as slow as it was tragically hilarious. He was not even sure how the girlhad been caught by the bulldozer, but it certainly was an spectacle to watch.

"... I'll continue your legacy, melo-Dude really?!"

Melody's euology was cut short as Katherine Fairburne, once again, looted the body.

"I'm never gonna use this bloody cape at this rate."

He needed to be quicker on the draw...

As they approached the vending machines, Doug popped in all 6 of his points, getting 2x Soda Pops and 2x Berry Juices before advancing to the next round, face set.

He was going to win this, damn it. SOMEHOW.

Throwing a 1x soda pop at his Vespiqueen and chugging down 1x Berry Juice, he turned towards the next set of challenges, before making his choice.

He had no fancy bike, unlike Mr. Killer killer, but there were a few regular, boring ass bikes in a nearby bicycle rack. He took one and moved towards the Closed road, never one to let a sign tell him what to do.

"Defend and Heal Order!" Doug boomed at his Vespiqueen as furiously pedaled his way towards the hazardous area, the bee queen releasing several of her drones to try and keep the youth from getting himself maimed or killed.

Oh shit! Bill Anderson had kyle lopez’s number apparently. Lex is impressed with the rogue shot. How the heck did he know who to shoot? At this point, anyone was fair game. The Killer had done a good job blending in with the crowd. However, the pool keeps getting shallower. Eventually the Killer wouldn’t be able to hide much longer.

Regardless of who the last Killer is, Lex is falling behind. A small sneer crossed crimson lips when Katherine Fairburne pilfers the loot off the dead first. Still, Lex snatches a LEFTOVER for later use along with another SODA POP in case they get thirsty.

Lex keeps to herself, choosing to follow behind Bill to avoid being run over by his cool new bike. Hers is very . . . average. Regardless she mounts and pressed forward. The Roserade hoped into the basket in the front. Her petaled hands reach forward, GIGA DRAIN sucks the life out of the foliage in their way, making it easier to blasé through.

The solution to his problem, a free pass out, passes hands and Fernando sticks the EJECT BUTTON firmly in his coat pocket. Without a watch, he has no idea how much time has elapsed but he uses his own judgement to dictate how much of a window he still has.

The answer is probably not think logically at all. Grabbing a Soda Pop, Eris cracks a cold one open and decides to go with her gut instincts instead of brain cells - That is, following the crowd and seeing where things go! With Aurelia tumbling through the foliage with a bout of Foul Play and lighting the darkened way forwards with bursts of a Flash Cannon, she can't quite help but wonder if she'll scrape by this round again.

We should finish this as quickly as we can."

The sound of ticking bicycle spokes grows louder as the hunters close in on their prey, shredding foliage and dead leaf litter beneath their wheels. The thrum of a Mach Bike engine sputters with toxic masculine energy as BILL'S MUSHARNA breaks from her master, accelerating to a deadly speed with a target in her sights.

Spraying bark and rotting wood, she vaults a fallen log. The bike is airborne for a moment between the trees, trailing a pink plume of Dream Smoke exhaust.

"And don't worry, I'm planning on cutting down the pool as quickly as possible."

KATHERINE'S GENGAR is caught mid-Shadow Punch, not expecting the assault by bicycle which bursts suddenly through the trees. Musharna's bloodlust is finally sated as she steamrolls the ghost-type and keeps rolling, plunging back into the undergrowth with wisps of Dream Smoke still dissipating behind her.

There are no lights. There is no reveal. Only sudden brutality, and then the sweeping hush of birds and beasts alike after a kill.

At the same time, a shot rings out.

A hidden sniper was also targeting Katherine Fairburne , but the bullet passes harmlessly through the Elite 4 member's body, leaving a strange ripple across her corporeal form. As if realizing they will not be able to bodily haul Katherine away like the other victims, a teleport Pokemon appears.

"It's time."

When the other players search for her body, all they'll find is a scorched circle of earth, embers still glowing where they meet the grass. In the center of the ring is the CONSENT FORM, folded up neatly with the redhead's other possessions.

Katherine's name is not on it.

KATHERINE WAS NOT THE KILLER

KATHERINE HAS BEEN ELIMINATED.

"We've created a monster..." The Mastermind announcement doesn't seem surprised, just contemplative. Perhaps it seemed inevitable that the Elite 4 Member would draw suspicion due to her alliance with the previous killer. "The killer has failed this round, contestants, but you might not be so lucky next time. Remember, no matter how many points you have, it doesn't matter if you're dead."

Reflective, flexible, and probably bolt-proof, this vest protects an innocent player from killer-killing attacks. This item does not protect the killer, but is free for them to purchase at no cost.

Overgrown shrubbery paves a dark, shadowy path to the STONE TOWER. As you pass between wild, unkempt hedges, an ominous feeling descends.

Slowly but steadily, you move towards the end.

The TOWER is damaged-- it seems to have been constructed for aesthetic more than functionality, and many of its massive stones litter the ground in jagged pieces that reveal a concrete core. Many of its floors are exposed, revealing a slender spiral staircase that winds from bottom to top.

A soft pink spotlight shines up from above, lighting up the distant ROOFTOP.

Do you venture inside, clearing fallen pillars and broken pilings? Do you scale its sides, trusting in your own physical ability?

Or do you choose a third option: a mysterious passageway sealed with secrets that only the worthy can enter?

The climbing equipment already rigged up to the side of the tower makes it clear that scaling its sides is a totally viable option. A STRANGE DOOR is set on the far side of the tower, barred by chains. It pants hungrily, seeming to sense your presence. Perhaps it's mechanical. Perhaps it's possessed. Either way, as you hesitantly approach the shifting archway, the door speaks.

Its frame jars and shudders, fighting rusted chains. It seems ready to unlock at a word, "hinging" on a response. You hold your breath.

A card prints out of the gaping keyhole like a receipt, spelling out a strange jumble of letters.

Everything happens so much. Even so, Luka keeps her head forwards, the second Calm Mind of the day having done wonders in stabilizing her. If she thinks about things for too long she starts to get weak in the knees, but as it is she manages to keep her head up, even though her face is deathly pale. Poor Katherine….she didn’t deserve to be targeted like this, especially as an innocent. But with one killer gone, she supposes it makes sense for the survivors to become more competitive amongst themselves. [break][break]

And it’s about time she gets serious too. Luka grabs a quick claw from the shelf and wonders what it does. And she feels bad about it, but still takes the points from Katherine with a soft sigh and a mumbled ”I’m so sorry.”Even though she hadn’t ‘killed’ her, she feels rather guilty for reaping rewards regardless. She straightens, takes a swig of her Soda Pop, and continues on down to the next task. [break][break]

Once there, she makes her way to the door. She's not all that clever, but curiosity drives her forwards. Luka ponders the meaning of the puzzle with Plum’s assistance, a Future Sight used in an attempt to help her parse the answer, and a Psychic as the tapir-like pokemon attempts to decipher it herself.[break][break]

Jump in while you still can. Her Leftovers really allow her to rummage through the newest victim's belongings without the slightest hint of hesitation. In turn, she grabs the Reaper's Cloth and continues to dig through. After a few minutes of checking, Eris is ready to keep going, looking at the tasks before her and thinking really hard about her next course of action.

Should the chances allow, she grabs the Crossbow as well, setting her way towards the strange door spied on the other side of the tower. Even with a shimmer of Fairy Lock, it doesn't seem to budge. If this isn't something that can be unlocked by the Klefki, she really has to try her luck here, doesn't she?
