The League has dispatched rangers and have notified Alexei Ivanov, the gym leader, of their disturbance... but finding the swarm's ring leaders may prove to be a harrowing, haunting experience.[break][break]

priam has his own zoroark that he frequently uses whose natural ability to make illusions he takes advantage of. being lost in one was one of the many things he has experienced.

"you mean trust my gut and just throw this pokeball to see if it hits the one responsible for this?" he asks his zoroark, who doesn't give an answer to priam. "well, okay."

silence means yes, and heeding the tip given to him by his zoroark, who is also an expert on illusions and such, he makes his move with a good pitch. the pokeball goes flying to nowhere afterwards.

"Isn't this the ranger's job?" They grumbled sleepily as they trudged behind Rio-Rio. The Riolu lacked his trainer's exhaustion, easily guiding them both through the illusions while tracking the aura of a particularly tricky Zorua. Or another Kecleon. Aura reading is tough okay!

Hopefully between themselves and the rest of the crowd, this wouldn't take too long.

Zoroark are a particularly popular species sought after hungrily. Given their elusive behaviour and tendency to travel in pairs, or even solo, they are not easily obtained. Rumors spread quickly, as is the norm. Anything out of the ordinary is easy to speak about because it defers from the regular day to day.

In the calm quiet, in between the comings and goings of curious civilians and tempered trainers, Remi loads tranquilizer darts into a sleek rifle.

Further ahead, twin Sneasel weave in and out of the trees and along the streets. They falter on occasion, overwhelmed by the changing landscape and the illusory images that this migration of Zoroark are imposing.

With a calm exhale, Remi pulls the trigger. There is no sound, no lapse in reality. To overthink with these beasts was to ensure failure.

And she never fails. She merely brings assistance to whoever ends up catching one.
The bullet flies, fluffy red tail spinning lazily as it disappears into the illusion. A body goes down, but was she the one fast enough to intercept and take it for herself?

Angelo knew a thing or two about pokemon that lingered, played, beneath the realm of perception. She was oft close by, he knew, even when he could not see. His cherished companion – Latias. [break][break]

It's less a visit to Fortree to deal with the rumoured Zoroark problem as it is just being in the right place at the right time. Alexei Ivanov was allegedly in a wheelchair these days, and even though he didn’t have as much time to spend at the sanctuary as he used to, Angelo wasn’t about to leave the man high and dry. [break][break]

Or rather, stuck on the ground and sober. A bottle was a good excuse as any to visit. [break][break]

The pilot is not worried when his invisible guardian shivers a warning down their psychic tether, his boots continuing to crunch down the familiar path towards the Alexei’s property without falter, as the clock clicks to 7:07PM. [break][break]

A notification was sent out about a certain dark type causing chaos in Fortree City. Being a dark type specialist, Maverick was swift to answer the call. Warm crimson colored flickered over the craziness, reaching into his pocket to summon a creature himself. The while furred feline let out a small noise, deep red orbs shifted to the cause of the panic around town. “We need to stop them,” the man mumbled to him, his own gaze shifted to an oddly colored one, “let’s go!”

With a tap of the mega accessory on the side of his face, the mega evolution was triggered. In no time at all, the absol shifted into the majestic\ mega absol. “Mega horn.” The scythe on his head took on a green grew, rushing forward to MEGA HORN any creature that stood in his path. Maverick plucked an empty ball from his pocket, ready to capture any zorua or zoroark he could get his hands on. After all, this was his type.

Stalking through the woods was spooky enough without the illusory pokemon running about. Though his eyes help to forewarn him, they do nothing to soothe the nerves. He jumps at the slightest disturbance: A crunching of leaves, the whistling of the wind, the dancing of shadows.

His knuckles whiten where he clutches a pokeball, prepared to chuck it at the first thing to spring from out of the woods. That'd just have to be enough.

Or, there it isn't. The grinning Zoroark appears for only a split second before vanishing again, leaving Luka and her team breathless and more than a bit frustrated. They've run themselves ragged chasing illusions...and it's getting them nowhere.[break][break]

"Plum," Luka instructs. "T-try, um...let's try Future Sight to catch one in the act!" The Musharna exhales a puff of dream mist and focuses, setting her sights on the future.[break][break]

A flash of light startles the next Zoroark to try and ambush their team. Moonbeam splits the still air just as it appears behind them, striking the illusory fox before they can attack.

(surprise, surprise). was anyone really surprised that he was hurrying towards the zoroark swarm the second he heard about it? well...that was a hypothetical question, because nine didn't really care. and it wasn't like he really talked to anyone outside of his job; at least not enough for them to know about his hoard of pokemon. but that was their problem, he supposed; if they didn't want to hear about them, then that was their loss.

rambling about his zorua hoard aside, nine wasn't really surprised to see a bunch of other people hanging around? annoyed, yes, but not surprised. but it was fine, because hopefully he'd end up with a zoroark. hopefully.
