[attr="class","aurelie_body"]For Aurelie, the puzzling part about the Magikarp Splash was how difficult the move was, considering how ungraceful and unimpressive an actual Magikarp usually looked. Why had such a deceptively simple yet extremely challenging move been named after a Pokemon that seemingly did nothing but flop around in the heat of battle? Of course, in its native habitat in the sea, a Magikarp was usually much more competent than when it was released on land to do battle, so perhaps that had something to do with it. Maybe they were supposed to emulate a Magikarp leaping over tall waves or rocky promontories, not a Magikarp flapping around wildly after being released from a Pokeball.

For this attempt, she'd definitely have to keep the former image in mind as she tried the trick once more, not the latter.

the last one doesn't count since he was just warming up. you can't call exercises actual attempts since they're really just that.

this time, he's serious. he never fails on anything, and every "fail" he got was just him messing around or simply testing the waters. he still hasn't synergizes with his mantine, and only then will it actually count.
