She had failed the STARMIE once. But she wouldn't let that discourage her. Like the Dunk tank this was an enemy to be conquered, and she would continue to try until she succeeded.

So with her now trusty steed Mantine, she set out. To find a wave was a task on its own, but she did and immediately went to work.

The STARMIE was the trick to be performed, her success, well she didn't know quite yet.

Zev wasn't sure how he got roped into continuing this ridiculous surfing activity, but he wasn't about to give up after just two failures. He wasn't about to give up at all. In fact, he was absolutely sure he would win the contest; it was just a matter of time and dedication. So he got up on the back of his Mantine again and rode it toward another wave.

If he could just land a MAGIKARP SPLASH then that victory was all but his.

Okay! So he had been expecting to go underwater, but he was able to pull it off. With eyes wide, the ranger took a deep breath to settle himself as he realized that no, he was not submerged. And he had actually managed to land the Primarina Twist. Okay, that was good. What was the next one on the list? To be honest, he hadn't exactly prepared for this. He had figured he would wipe fairly quickly at this point. Okay, maybe he should try something... Safer. Get his bearings back.

Could anyone tell how nervous she was? Elaine felt lucky that she had decided to wear goggles for this sport. Headwear to obscure someone like her who was inept in general at water sports was a blessing and the few bits of red hair that stuck out of her helmet were hardly distinguishing.

Well, no time like the present. If she was going to flop, she would make it the biggest flop ever. That was the right attitude to have, right? Go Magikarp Splash or go crash.

Yesterday's trick had been a failure... and, today, things were likely to result just as well. It was funny, really, that a stunt named the 'MAGIKARP SPLASH' was notorious for being one of the most difficult to nail down. If he failed it, which was more than likely, then he would hit the waves below much as a Magikarp would: with a loud splat.

Regardless, Cade returns to the docks and bonds with his Mantine a bit more before setting off to try it. Within minutes, they're airborne off the peak of a large wave, twirling and spinning before sailing downward.

Shaking off his latest failure, Jack turns the Mantine back toward the sea and scopes out a promising wave. With a burst of speed they rush forward, catching the wave and feeling the now familiar drop of his stomach as they enter the air. Flip, flip, flip. And Jack holds his breath again as he turns the Mantine into the final flip needed for the Magikarp Splash. Exhaling, he leans into the spin.
