With his day job already being dancing around half naked on stage, Symon had little qualms about doing so on another stage, in front of strangers, for a good cause. Usually, the cause was his own pocketbook, so this was even less like being an actual prostitute. Win-win!

He had, originally, planned to wear a little revealing number that had been gifted to him as a gag birthday gift by some of the guys in his troupe. This was a family event, however, even if minors weren’t permitted to partake in this particular event.

So he went with the classic blue trunks, instead, the sleeves of his lifeguard’s jacket tied around his waist. Knowing how to play to his strengths (he was a performer, after all) he’d gone for a little dip so the wet lycra material clung to the tops of his thighs. The rest of his spectacular (hey, he worked hard for his money) physique was left on show in a artfully flexed display of tanned skin.

A lei around his neck matched the flowers sported by Vermillion, his Comfey, who hovered in a slow circle around him, beaming at all the attention.

At the end of the runway he slid his fingers through his slightly damp hair, immaculately shaped chest set to stun, and flashed a finger gun at a random spot in the crowd.

[attr="class","monbody"]Well, I may not be the greatest beauty the world has ever seen, Aurelie thought, giving herself a last critical once-over before she stepped onto the runway, but I do think I at least look pretty dashing, if I do say so myself.

Her outfit of choice was a simple two-piece swimsuit of sleek black, with stylized flame designs in yellow and red curling upward from the bottom. The colors and theme of the swimsuit rather nicely echoed the hues of her own short red hair and black eyepatch, and it also harmonized quite elegantly with the orange-and-crimson fur of her Delphox, Fiametta, who accompanied her today. The only other thing she wore was a pair of thin, strappy black sandals, allowing an uninterrupted view of smooth, pale skin and long, lean limbs corded with sinewy muscle from decades of working in the forge.

Aurelie strode down the runway with more brisk efficiency than seductiveness or grace, as if she were walking down the street to the store rather than sashaying down the runway strutting her stuff. At her side, her Delphox held her head high and sauntered forward with the poise and sophistication that her trainer would have done well to match, if she'd known to look. Instead, Aurelie was taking care to smile and wave to the crowd every few steps and trying not to make a fool of herself by tripping or falling during her turn in the spotlight.

At the end of the runway, she stopped and put both hands on her hips, arching her back slightly to show off her choice of swimsuit for maximum effect. Letting a slow smile grace her lips, she winked her single visible eye playfully at the crowd before turning on her heel and marching back down the runway with long, level strides. Inwardly, she was laughing at herself a little for how ridiculous she must look.

But it was all in the name of fun, summer, and a good cause. And that was perfectly fine with Aurelie.

Even if Nanette felt she lacked the Sanguine charm and ease, people (most oglers at clubs or when they thought she couldn’t hear) said she had a nice. And, yes, Nanette prided herself on staying physically healthy if nothing else. So she wasn’t some wilting, blushing flower bubmling down the runway. Chin up, shoulders back, and posture straight. Nanette brushed her hair back and just…well, she walked. As she normally did. But years of etiquette and dance seemed to have some positive effect on her gait, at least. And while having so many eyes on her in a bikini was a bit daunting, it was for a good cause.

And beside her – apoplectic with protective rage – was her gallade. D’Artagnan was nothing if not visibly composed, though. Nanette could see the tension in his shoulders, though, and the slightest stiffness as he held a hand out to her at the end of the runway.

He twirled her like a lady at a ballroom, and Nanette ended her spin with a practiced bow. It really did feel like a dance hall with the pageantry…there was just a distinct lack of clothing.

It is a known fact that when modelling, confidence is key, and of course an undeniable narcissist like Mars has no lack of it. It’s with natural nonchalance that he makes his entrance, every step on the catwalk being taken as if he were the owner and ruler of the beach itself. Opulence, you own everything.

He’s beauty, he’s grace, and he may just be wearing the shortest and tightest swim trunks ever…

As should only be expected, they’re in a Meowth pattern and in the black and gold colours of POG Bank, paired with a simple white t-shirt. To match, there’s a GOLDEN ILLUMINA MEOWTH walking by his side. Coin, one of the newest additions to the bank’s adorable clowder of influencer Meowth, yet almost as confident as his owner.

When they reach the end of the catwalk, it’s in a smooth and flowing motion that Mars takes off his shirt by pulling on it from the nape of his neck. He tosses it towards the audience with a wink, giving the sort of flawless smile that could easily belong in a toothpaste ad. His Meowth finger guns the audience just as they turn to take their leave. It’s then that written on the back of the swim trunks, right on Mars’ delightful behind, everyone would be able to read the words POG BANK embroidered in gold.

While it was his first time participating in a swimsuit contest, Marshall was no stranger to both baring his skin in front of others and walking down a runway. For his outfit, he chose swim trunks with a blue-and-yellow design, simple sandals, and nothing on top to cover his athletic physique except for an ostentatious garland of bright red, tropical flowers around his neck. They matched the vivid crimson color of his hair and eyes. His entire ensemble, though, matched the brilliant plumage of his Archeops, Blitz, who waited beside him for their turn to walk.

Then it was time.

Blitz at his side, Marshall swaggered down the runway, making eye contact with the audience, exuding charisma through his smoldering glance and devil-may-care grin.

At the end of the walkway, he ran his hands through his hair, struck a pose to show off the lean muscle of his body, and winked at no one in particular. With a confident cry, Blitz spread his wings in a dazzling display of color.

The mantra repeated over and over in his head as he peeked out from behind the curtain. The crowd was cheering off the previous contestant as he made his way back down the runway, a certified beach hunk with the charisma to back it up. Meanwhile Locke didn't even have the confidence to take off the terry-cloth hoodie covering his wiry torso, and his beach shop swim trunks looked cheap compared to what half the people backstage were wearing.

Macho-Macho at least looked unfazed by the competition, but it was likely because he was too busy admiring his muscles in one of the full body mirrors to notice anything else.

Locke stepped away to let the other man through, looking around for one the event's assistants. Maybe they could still back out-

A large, gray arm wrapped around the courier, and before they could stammer out a protest Macho-Macho scooped them up and swaggered out onto the runway.

They stopped at the very end, where the Machoke raised his other arm to flex for the flashing cameras while his trainer groaned into their hands.

SWIMSUIT CONTEST

Well. At least this contest didn't yet require entering the water.

Hoenn's tropical heat is nigh unbearable for a child of Circhester, even after so many years residing in the perpetually doomed region. He wears sunscreen as if it's a second skin, knowing all too well the intensity of burns he'll get, otherwise. He walks the runway with confidence despite the scars that mark his exposed skin, with only a simple pair of swim trunks as a barrier between himself and the sun.

Much as he'd have loved to pose with his own legendary partner, it's a SHADOW DHELMISE who traverses the runway with its PHANTOM FORCE, the air distorting next to Gavin as he pauses at the end to strike a pose. He leans his weight against the anchor as it appears next to him, blood-colored seaweed dripping saltwater. Hand on his hip, Gavin's dispassionate gaze flits over the gathered crowd for but a moment before he steps back to let the next contestant take their turn.

IN THE LIMELIGHT I WANT TO STAY

orchid bellerose is nothing if not ready for this. although this somewhat deviated from her usual source of attention, years of standing on stages before thousands meant that this would be nothing more than the average day for her. she doesn’t lack in confidence when it comes to her appearance — in fact, she’s been told before that her confidence could come across as having a “charmingly oversized ego.”

a practiced, controlled gait brings her down the runway. she wears a frilly, pink two-piece to compliment the pinks of her hair and carefully-done makeup (waterproof, of course!). over her swimsuit, there’s a long, loose, sheer, white, lacy coverup, slipped off her shoulders so it bunches around her arms at the top. she’s a carefully-composed image of pink and laced-in whites, her hair held up in a loose, beachy bun.

accompanying her is her faithful companion, quartz the vulpix. quartz provides a small fall of shining specks of ice falling onto her, looking almost like she has her own personal shower of stars in the bright summer.

at the end of the runway, she comes to a stop. giving an exaggeratedly manicured smile to the crowd, one befitting of such a performer, she poses. hand over her head as if she’s about to pluck a fruit from a tree above her, leaning back and hip out. she breaks from it after a moment, giving a warmer, truer grin and laughing before she gives a little wave to the crowd, taking herself off stage with an equally-confident, but more hurried walk than the one that had led her out there.

Jack inhales deeply, attempting to keep himself from blushing or giggling at the absurdity of being in a swimsuit competition. He would have preferred being in the audience, but he knew his followers would enjoy the story better when he posted the event on his blog. He steps onto the stage, his Palossand accompanying him and providing, he hoped, a very beachy vibe. Azure board shorts hang loosely from his waist, falling to the tops of his knees. The shorts themselves are patterned with breaking waves in light blue hues and curling whites around the bottom of both legs. He wears his shirt unbuttoned, the pure white linen parting to reveal his tanned skin and toned abs. Across the upper back and shoulders, gradients of blue thread spin and whorl to mimic the imagery of a cloudy sky.

Jack walks swiftly down the runway, the Pallossand silently flowing along next to him. As he reaches the end, he tucks his thumbs into the waistband of his shorts and tugs them down in one smooth motion to show off the creasing v-shaped ligaments below his abs. With a wink, he turns and walks back down the runway while fighting back a laugh.

Penelope required NO convincing to attend this year's splash fest's swimsuit competition. Never one to shy away from the camera, the amber-headed woman strode in wearing a black two-piece and a matching pair of dark circle sunglasses. Topping it off, a black summer hat sat at the top of her braided hair, protecting her cheeks from the searing summer heat.

When her name got called, she smiled, prepared both mentally and physically to put on at LEAST a decent show. "Come on, Remy," She cooed, calling her flaaffy over. Green bulb zapping with electric energy, the small Pokémon bounced in front of her, walking down the stage with the level of presence UNHEARD of from a SMALL baby LAMB. Penelope, who trailed close behind, smiled and followed suit, hips swaying and arms lightly swinging to the sound of the ongoing beat. At the end of the platform, she'd pose, her arm resting on her hip, which jutted out to the right. Her finishing move? A small wink and wave towards the crowd.

"It's so warm." She didn't have a fan in hand, so she could only use her hand as a makeshift fan as she attempted to cool herself down. Even while she was baring much more skin than usual, she found herself barely keeping up with the heat. Though, such was clearly a herculean task for a Sinnoh native like her.

Even so, she stupidly had taken the plunge on the swimsuit competition. The pink-plaid two-piece swimsuit with hearts at her hips and a knot at the center of her chest. The same-colored sunglasses that adorned her face. Despite her initial resistance, she had placed some effort into this swimsuit contest. The least she could do was put in a good effort on the stage.

With it finally being her turn, she got up and snapped her fingers. In that moment, her Metagross took to floating only a couple of feet above her, blocking the ever-beating rays of the sun from reaching her as she walked down the runway--as if it were being a handsfree moving parasol for her. At the very end, she simply crossed her arms, placed one foot slightly before herself and used one hand to slightly push up her sunglasses by the side of the frame, all while she remained underneath the Metagross.

A valiant effort yet one with minimal exertion and simple finesse.

Fundraising and help getting over your body issues? Sounded like a double win for him. He hadn't thought twice about participating, only waiting for annalise henderson and illeana reyes to walk first so he could cheer them on before rushing to get ready for his own walk. At his feet, a berry colored Zigzagoon barked excited, trembling with anticipation. Zabaglione didn't really get why they were doing this, but the amount of people and pokemon around them AND the cheering of the audience made him all the more excited to go. His outfit is by far more cute than sexy, but that's his niche and he preferred prettier clothes than showing off skin. [break][break]

The bewitching scent of Alolan hibiscus swept across the catwalk as Elisabeth Fiorelli entered, the tropical flowers framing her face and adorning her golden curls with their splashy, sunset-hued petals. Upon her shoulder, a little Shaymin boasting a pink Gracidea hibiscus flower chirped happily.

Summer mornings tending her gardens had given the normally pale florist a sun-kissed complexion, one that suited the warm tones of her two-piece, floral swimsuit. A glittering sarong of diaphanous blue fabric draped over her left leg like a curling wave, foam-white pearls clustering about other fresh yellow-and-orange flowers sewn, as if floating, onto the billowing train.

The gauzy fabric fluttered with every step of her sandals, Elisabeth's emerald eyes focused on nothing and no one as she elegantly walked forward with a cool, detached disinterest. In contrast, the Shaymin next to her beamed a radiant smile, its sunny disposition lending a more personable air to its aloof mistress.

At the end of the runway, she lightly tossed her loose curls, allowing the imported Alolan flowers to ripple with the movement.

The bright, exotic hibiscuses had been showcased to great effect, not only here, but with the subtle movement of her beflowered wrists and ankles.

As far as the florist was concerned, this event was free marketing, and she was content enough being her own display window.

So what if his Pokemon were a bunch of rejects, misfits, and odds-and-ends rather than any particular glamour picks? So what if his mom-friend-in-law Elisabeth Fiorelli had just dazzled the audience with flowers in her hair, an impeccably coordinated outfit, and a mythical Pokemon toddling after her?[break][break]

Who needed those things when you had confidence and pizzazz on your side?[break][break]

Isaac strutted down the catwalk with his head held high and a winning smile on his face. The star of his ensemble was his usual swimwear; red swim trunks with a white skull pattern on the left leg. Accenting it was what appeared to be some sort of open jacket or vest, the black garment hanging loosely around him to keep his toned midsection on display while keeping the rest of his upper body more covered up. Finally, a pair of badass shades, matching the set that were bobbing up and down on the nose of his ever-faithful starter.[break][break]

That's right, Watson was coming down the catwalk with Isaac, and with the shades on his face he was coming dressed for the part. He brought a bouncy energy to Isaac's cool, collected vibe, making little gestures with his hands and bounding up and down to hype the crowd up. Was he a little on the goofy, quirky side? Yes. But Isaac couldn't think of anyone else he'd rather have as his wingman.[break][break]

As they walked down the catwalk, Isaac revealed the true purpose of the jacket; it was a decoy all along! He slid it off of his shoulders with ease, removing it with a flourish. Now the full extent of his toned, athletic upper body was on display, which he emphasized by curling his arm to give the jacket a little twirl around his finger. Once that was done, he tossed it to the crowd, where it landed in the palm of Kiryu's hand. No rule Pokemon couldn't be audience members, after all! So what if he happened to throw his accessory where one of them was sitting?[break][break]

Never enter a situation without at least a teeny-tiny bit of deck stacking in your favor. Especially if you were still coloring within the lines somehow.[break][break]

Once he made it to the end of the catwalk, it was time for the pose. He turned a little to the side, Watson mimicking his positioning before hopping into the air. For but a brief, picture-perfect second, the two were perfectly aligned. Back to back, peering down their sunglasses and hitting the crowd with a pair of charming grins. Now that was a photo op if Isaac had ever seen one![break][break]
