The world conspired against him.

Even as it gave him all he desired, it only did so in order to hurt him more severely, taking it away as soon as he began to settle— began to recover his faith.

"Nooo!" He screamed as the very earth crumbled beneath him, sending him plummeting into the abyss below, falling into a river of despair as his kingdom was once again torn from his grasp.

Gasping for life and air, the deposed king dragged himself back to the outskirts of the realm, determination and dat dawg in 'im keeping him from surrender.

He would return.

Soon.

The line this round was extremely short.

"I should've known..." He said dramatically as he returned, finding, who else, if not Julia Davis, once again on his throne. "It was YOU who conspired against me, Davis!"

He raised the ball towards her once again.

"I'll not fail this time!"

The girl that had ascended the throne seemed to be faring just fine upon it and had a streak going where people just kept on missing. Approaching the pedestal for the third time, having been dunked almost instantly when she had got on the seat prior, Desiree would be up to bat. This time, her Clefairy had wanted to watch, protecting her trainer's drink on the outskirts.[break][break]

"Hope you don't mind getting dunked on~! ♡" She'd wave at the stranger, raising the ball. Would her third time throwing be a charm, or would it be a total bust? Desiree would release the ball from her grasp, impending the results.[break][break]

The last thing Howard remembered saying something stupid. This wasn't new for him, but it was the irony of what was said that stuck with him. Two people had failed to dunk him. "I'm invincible! Invincible!" Howard had cackled before taking a dunk tank to the face. He had recently crawled out.

However, after tapping his pocket, his face paled. His apartment keys were missing. Crud, his landlord was going to KILL him. He glared at the dunk tank. They were likely floating around in the water somewhere, and he had to find them. "Alright. This isn't a funny joke anymore. This is serious business! This shot is for my apartment! For rent! For the fifty PD replacement fee for a key!" Howard flung the ball.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. That was what he last few throws had been. In fact, so far, he hadn't managed to dunk a single person. But today he was determined to change that.

No matter who sat in the dunk tank now, Remiel would choose to ignore them and only focus on the target in front of him. Then, after reeling his arm back, he would make his throw. If he failed yet again, he would sigh and walk away.

No amount of misses would deter Hideo from trying to get back on the throne. He was going to take that throne, no matter how many attempts it took or who was standing (sitting?) in his way.

Even when Eris Halla was once more sitting upon the throne, Hideo would show no mercy, just as he hadn't before.
