its nads are too high up for aurelius to really hit, but the flames arc outward and do something. maybe. she can't really fucking tell 'cause the wind is howling and her tits are freezing. they're not the only ones here either. hoenn and its crazies, flocking like gulls to the basket of super-freaky fries.

can we go home now? she wants to whine because amulius basically did the equivalent of spitting on it and really, that dragon could EAT THEM IN ONE FELL SWOOP - GOBBLE, GOBBLE, YUM.

reality-bending powers don't matter if you get crushed by a giant foot or crunched between skyscraper-sized teeth. and she's about to say as much, while amulius continues palm-striking the creature in close combat quarters, when nomi freezes.

parker throws a hand out, but doesn't take her eyes off the giant, towering dragon. at least, not until she drops his name.

she'd instantly regretted the brass knuckles when she realized how cold it was. she's never been this cold in her whole life and she's pretty sure they've frozen over her hands. but now, now she's glad she's brought them. anger shrugs away the cold (not really, but we can pretend) and she rounds, nostrils flaring, looking for him. 

snow blasts her in the face and her arms pinwheel as she loses her footing. nomi cries out and all of that anger turns towards a new source. her lips twist in a half-snarl as she fights nature itself, clawing her way through the impromptu avalanche to reach nomi. 

mîr spins, glowing, and parker stupidly wonders if it's calling daddy a. her fingernails scrape against the boulder, cheeks huffing with exertion as she tries to force her shoulder against it. 

"mul," she howls, but the blaziken is too far away to help. 

or is he?

fire lashes and nearly singes off her eyebrows. she leaps back, confused, and until the boulder is half its size does she realize the THWACK-THWACK-THWACKING she hears is someone on the other side of it, punching it to bits. and then it gets smaller and seeing a familiar swathe of hair, then broad shoulders, makes her snarl. 

around them are rockets. around them are supervisors. around them are murderers. and somewhere, in the midst of all of this, is . 

nomi's hurting and can help.

that's why this next part kills her. 

"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER, MERLO!" she screeches and crashes into him, brass knuckles looking for his face.

Flowers was strong, but strong enough to carry a grown man, his pokemon, and her? Probably not. She corralled and his partner towards the Pidgeot. ”He can take you two to safety!” she yelled, urging them onto Flowers’ back. ”He’ll drop you off and come back once you’re far enough out!” She wasn’t sure how much of her assurance could be made out over the growing storm.

Eko braced herself as shards of ice started to rain down around them only for another trainer to rush in and shield them from several large chunks of ice. She gave and his hitmonlee an earnest nod before moving to shove and his pokemon the rest of the way onto Flowers. ”Grab on tight!”

Should Victor make it on, the Pidgeot would streak into the sky, sending out an air slash when blocks of ice whirled a little too close to their path forward. He would know what to do. The real question would be: could Eko make herself useful while Flowers was away.

These words are not for her, and as long as they remain that way, she can fear less for herself and more for Isaac (which for some reason, is far easier in her eyes). Though, if Xenon had gone as far to protect them, perhaps there is place for a hint of trust to be nurtured.[break][break]

"Isaac." He's leaving her. Something is going on that matters more than they do. As her eyes drift from his apologetic smile to the Cetoddle, she knows that she cannot go where he intends to go. "Y-"[break][break]

A snake curls in her throat, but the words that churn in her mouth push it back. Instead, she weaves her heart into her own smile as prayers linger on her mind.[break][break]

For now, she must tend to pressing matters of her own. Clutching tighter to the Cetoddle's fin, she tosses a glance over to and begins to lead it along.[break][break]

"Most of our forces are converging on and , but there are others pockets around the area." The fire and wind and ice all blur together as it buffets against his partner's PROTECT.

's attempts to save Akero were to no avail; and yet, it gets an appreciative - even if pained - smile from El. This... This wasn't the time to focus on this, as much as their heart twists. They had to keep moving. They could do this, right..?

(they weren't sure how much they could bear to see akero's frozen form in their peripheral.)

When Isaac leaves as the wind, El glances back to , "You be safe, okay?" before following after - equally eager to lend a hand to those in need. "I-I'm with you!" But, the sight they arrive on - 's ankle stuck under an icy boulder - makes them wince.

Ysera is quick to offer a Helping Hand to Viola and Isaac both, the gentle-giant Hydreigon providing her strength where need be.

However, then came with the steel chair brass knuckles out of left field, with an alarming shout! She charges forth, and Ysera rumbles - the dragon ready to protect Isaac...

... But instead, El reacts on pure instinct; their cane coming up to deflect a couple punches - though they end up stumbling back amidst it. "I-IS NOW REALLY THE TIME?!" Their voice blurts out before they can stop themself, equal parts 'what the fuck'-ing at Parker's behavior and their own reflexes.
TLDR:
- El tells to be safe before going with to help
- (they have a feeling if they have to see Akero frozen like that any longer they may go back into a crisis.)
- Ysera the Hydreigon uses Helping Hand to lend a hand in breaking the boulder.
- As comes in, El reacts on 20-years-in-Galar-formed reflex and deflects with their cane, but is off-kilter both physically and mentally. Asks Parker if now is really the time!!!

[attr="class","aurelie_body"]Aurelie blinked in surprise when she caught sight through the whirling snow and ice of standing behind , the young girl who had caught her eye. But then, of course he'd be here too. Wherever momentous events were happening, it seemed like Isaac was always in the thick of them, not necessarily always doing things he believed in, but doing his best in his own way.

Concern for him warred with lingering anger and pain at the betrayal of his defection, but amusement soon won out as the dominant emotion when he glanced at her with trust in his eyes—his eyes, both of them, intact and clear, a sight that still bewildered her to this day—and then zipped away to whatever important thing he was doing. Probably all part of his plan to make the world a better place, Aurelie thought wryly. I bet he's off now to have Suicune negotiate peacefully with that ridiculously massive Kyurem, and then we can all go home.

For now, though, she hurried forward toward Eris and gave the girl an encouraging smile. It had been a relief to see other people also helping out the Pokemon and trainers trapped here and even more of a relief to have Eris readily accept her help without question. "Happy to help! If you keep hold of that little guy, I'll look around for its...uh...mother, I guess."

Aurelie swiveled her head from side to side, her single eye darting quickly between the various piles and blocks of ice and snow scattered everywhere. Looking for a white-and-grey Pokemon amidst the alabaster snow and clear, shining ice wouldn't have been an easy task even if everything were calm. And things certainly weren't calm right now!

"Care to help with the search? Or are you just here keeping us safe?" Aurelie asked over her shoulder. She hadn't recognized her voice from the comms earlier, with all the static crackle, and had assumed she must be a friend or ally of Eris or Isaac's.

At that moment, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a Cetitan half-trapped inside a column of ice. Only its tail was free, which it was waving back and forth frantically. Aurelie quickly urged her Heatran in its direction. "Let's start getting it melted and freed!"

Thankfully, her Heatran's powerful HEAT WAVE reliably did the trick. Aurelie watched alertly as the Cetitan waddled free and turned toward Eris and the Cetoddle she was guiding, wondering if this was the right pair or not.

She couldn't claim to hold much familiarity with her aside from the few times they might have passed by one another in Sootopolis or the sub, but if push ever came to shove she felt she could rely on her to back her up. Probably. They give just about anyone an Executive position these days, she was breathing proof of that. The ultramodernist lets out a breathy laugh as she indulges in her private joke, brushing the snow from her suit jacket and approaching the duo with her ever present grin.

Thomas frowned as Yuina's Charizard found itself frozen solid. He hated to see her suffer, watching her friend meet such an ugly fate. It only made the Kalosian more determined to find a way to free the frozen Pokemon.

"Yuina, the frozen Pokemon are alive! They still possess Auras, despite their condition!", he'd assure her. It was little more than an attempt at comforting the trainer. "We'll find a way to free them, I promise!"

The Iron Valiant leaped towards the Kyurem, attempting to brutalize the beast in Close Combat.

As Durant begins to Hone its Claws, you're left to wonder how realistic this is. Not just your ant fighting and beating this dragon, no, but the whole endeavour. Even the largest Pokemon that Rocket can muster is still several magnitudes smaller than Kyurem, and you assume that's much the same for the League, too. And like, as nice as it would be, you're not going to work together, are you? No, odds are, more will die from interfactional conflict than they do from the gigantic behemoth. All in all, the odds are a bit bleak.

You suppose you should at least try to herd this mass of cats into something more coherent. You are a Beast, after all, so if anyone can do it, its... Probably one of the Admins or the Underbosses. Still, you clear your throat a few times before speaking into the radio.

"This is Dread Threatening, calling in, over." You announce, your voice deeper than usual. "Can I request a status update on all personnel, over."

She'd nearly discarded the moment as nothing outside the ordinary...if it hadn't been for the illumina Unown-P hovering by their side.

"Holding up okay," She barked over the shouts of anarchy rampaging all around. It was a fight to be heard, a war to be understood. When her amber eyes finally flickered over to , time took a pause and her breath died, crumbling like a brittle leaf in her mouth.

Months worth of memories had been poisoned, discarded, manipulated by a spirit beyond their understanding. It didn't matter, though. Even without reason, Penelope could feel the way HATRED pulsed through her veins. The way this deeply embedded GRUDGE throbbed. The way ENVY blinded all. Without the burden of hesitation shackling her down, the councilwoman leaned closer to Matias' ear and whispered something just quiet enough for the world to ignore. A flare was unnecessary to redirect him to the rest of the others, as shouts wavering through the snow were enough. "You're safe! ♡" Desiree sighed in relief, holding her hand to shield her face from the incoming gale of icy winds. Though it was unfortunately not the time to fall into a warm embrace, the same could be said for telling Violet how far she'd come since the last time they met. "I didn't expect to see you here!" She briefly murmured in response to the woman, too overstimulated to delve into the nostalgic trivial embarrassment she felt at her core for the outburst she had experienced back then.[break][break]

However, the scream that had floated out of the lips of Yuina's was met with an uncontrollable, echoed panic bellow from hers. The pain that was brought upon watching her best friend's dragon become one with the icicles channeled by Kyurem was just as vibrant as it was entirely heartbreaking; it caused the pinkette to hyperventilate in shock, thrusting herself toward it. A haphazard attempt to shatter the ice with her own body to free the Charizard but to no avail, of course.[break][break]

She turned toward Thomas as he professed that of the auras with tears welting in her eyes, cascading and forming into shards of dew within the sheer cold as she picked herself up. "There has to be a way, Yuina..! I won't.. let there be a reality there isn't..!" It was a plea to the universe, to the fates that were slowly being written in the form of ethereal echoes. A MOONBLAST left the Altaria's lips, flung toward the beast of wretched ice with yet another dazzling sizzle. Wishing the future events did not have to come with all these costs and pain, her eyes looked toward the foot of the beast that etched itself into the ground. How could breaking the ice be possible? Its size was unlike any other, let alone its power with presence alone.[break][break]

It bites bone deep and sets his teeth to chattering, and Cillian knows by the slowed pattern of her flight that Lugia is no more immune than he. The blistering winds form a protective cage around the Kyurem, keeping spring's warmer winds at bay.[break][break]

Furious, Lugia's shriek appeals to the heavens, and a boom of THUNDER calls lightning's strike. The light is blinding, forcing Cillian to throw up an arm to shield his eyes from the storm.

Glacial boulders of ice whizz past Victor, and he finds himself stunned for a moment in nauseating terror as one narrowly misses crushing him. He wanted to scream, to cry, to just curl up and accept his fate, until the sounds of exploding ice shards pulls him out of his fearful reverie. He looks up in time to see 's Hitmonlee deftly crush the oncoming shards with earth-shattering kicks. Victor hears the voice of the Pokemon's trainer call out in protection of him. It's enough for Victor to pull his head out of the sand; there are people out here fighting to protect people like him. If someone were to get hurt, or god forbid die because of him, he could never live that down. [break][break]

So when urges him to board the Pidgeot, Victor does so gladly. He braces himself as he clings to the massive bird's feathers, Tegan tucked against his chest, as the Pidgeot takes a few mighty wing beats and sends them soaring. As they take to the skies, the Pidgeot nimbly annihilating any flying shards of ice with an AIR SLASH, Victor murmurs a silent bit of gratitude for . Were it not for his lesson with the Gym Leader's own Pokemon, Victor is certain that he wouldn't have the courage to ride the bird off into the skies. The little Espurr pressed against his chest clings tightly, and the air begins to shift around them with a curious aura as the little Pokemon conjures a REFLECTive barrier to shield them on their way. [break][break]

But something in the little cat seems to give out, and Victor begins to realize that something is terribly wrong as the form of the Espurr goes limp against him. His heart swells with panic as the barrier around them fizzles out and dies. Tears start to sting the corners of his eyes as he slowly begins to comprehend just how fucked his situation really is. [break]
