"We're not doing so hot right now!" Gwendolyn called out to the other people, fully unaware that all of the other people were in the same kind of boat here. Mischief was slowly getting tired from the constant fighting, as the ongoing electrical based attacks weren't really doing them any favors.

With Registeel raising its arms to charge up a powerful swing, akin to a cannon preparing to fire. Some of the other people were preparing to raise a shield against the party in a last ditch effort in order to survive the swing. Others were focusing on attacking the Registeel. Looking down at the Whimsicott in her hands, Gwendolyn raised the Pokemon in the air.

"Let's help them shield, Mischief!"

The Whimsicott surrounded itself in energy while attempting to gather strength for the multiperson shield.

"Mar!" Cass shouts above the quieting storms, as her Comfey is flung into her arms. Partially paralysed, he's twitching as electric shocks run through his body, ruin his flower garland. She pats him, nodding, "We'll get some new flowers soon. What do you think of sunflowers?" The flower fairy cooes in agreement, then shakes and rises into the air again, trembling.

Not down yet. Not yet but ...

"Something's massive's coming-" she says, darting her eyes around- They need to coordinate against this cannon. "We need to shield! Leech Seed! Help this guy over there!" Cass yells out, gesturing at priam conrad who the majority seems to support.

It’s almost nostalgic. Reminiscent enough of a lost future that it makes Alba sick to his stomach, that it twists a grin onto his face.[break][break]

Things seemed to be going so well, hadn't they? And then, all of a sudden, you find yourself on the brink of collapse. The Dynamaxed titan continues to fight on. People and their Pokemon get zapped and swatted like flies. Even as the last arc of electricity fades from the air, the harsh yellow glow is replaced by a warm red one.

You've faced down plenty of Hyper Beams from plenty of Regis. More than any one person ever should. Hell, you even got hit by one of them. But this? This feels different.

It feels like the end of the world as you know it.

"Fuck me...!"

You're instinctively aware of just how deadly this attack is. It can't be trifled with. You can't dodge it. You can't deflect it. You can't even really defend against it. All you can do now is survive.

Glancing around, you spot priam conrad and Alba Evovae readying themselves to weather the coming storm. Your fellows, not just in this battle, but in Rocket as a whole. So, as they dig in their heels and prepare for the worst, so do you.

"Here!" You shout out, reaching out and spinning your Dhelmise's wheel. Excess life energy rushes out of sunken wood and from clinging seaweed, stolen and stored from a half-dozen drains both Mega and Giga. Like water, it flows through the air, pouring itself into the Whimsicott, the Meganium, and the shield they're preparing. "Take it, quick!"

And then, you brace yourself for what comes next...

Gaze upon the power of Steel and tremble.

Explosive things happened, and in the wake of Registeel's ramping up its rampage, numerous allies were knocked out.

Assume Gwyar had a strong reaction to Bryn being hurt, but the writer could not be assed to actually write it.

A big fuck off beam was blasted at them, looking powerful enough to erase them all like a power washer carving through an anthill. In the face of such tremendous force, league and rocket once again had no choice but to come together.

Another meaningless alliance amongst many.

His Chesnaught moved forward, attempting to reinforce the defenses of the most resilient looking shielders in their conjoined groups.

eyes widen at the development.

words want to escape his mouth, but his mind has very little to process and conduct the meaningless things his head tells him to do. instead, his body moves by itself, opting for the more important tasks.

"meggy, leech seed!"

as soon as their last attack goes through, priam leads his pokemon to the front. the grass-type sows its seed at the golem, using the pokemon's innate connection with plants to sap off of other leech seeds such as the one from Alba Evovae's side.

priam doesn't know if someone would take the position of a a shield bearer to take on the cannon, but he steps up to the plate as abrupt as the decision was. it's a role that needed to be filled, and stress makes him revert to what his automatic response would have been-- say yes.

"Admin Fox, this is Black Dog. Don't think it's safe to keep goin'." As much as he thirsts for the glory of conquest. "I'll be bookin' a retreat soon."

It had felt, for a time, as though they might get through this.[break][break]

Registeel was a formidable foe, but Cillian and others had faced down the likes of Necrozma and survived. They'd battled Eternatus in a dream of Galar. What was this but just another trial to overcome?[break][break]

Then people start falling. People he knows. People he loves.[break][break]

A bright CANNON of electricity cuts Cillian off from Tempest Quinn and Lulu Flint, completely unaware of his sister's certainty that he was not himself. When he finally blinks the blind spots from his vision, he can't see them any more. Despair claws in his chest and when he opens his mouth to call out for them, he chokes on stinging sands. The heat is exhausting him, every movement a herculean effort.[break][break]

But he'd stood against Necrozma. He'd stood against Eternatus.[break][break]

He was going to stand against this damned hunk of metal until he couldn't stand any more.[break][break]

Seeing priam conrad at the center of a growing shield, Cillian whistles to his Cradily. He can't speak for the cough that racks his lungs, but he manages through sharp gestures to communicate his intent.[break][break]

Things had really gone from bad to worse. Eddie had gotten quite a nasty shock from the sparks dancing across the battlefield, but the Registeel apparently had more up its sleeve. The darkened sky lit up once again, though unfortunately it was not due to the arrival of anything helpful. Oscar looked to the titan, jaw agape as it unleashed a blinding Cannon blast more powerful than anything it had unleashed before. Oscar knew these ancient golems were strong from his time with howard slayte, but personally witnessing such raw power sent chills down his spine. He would have been amazed if said blast was not hurdling toward him.

Oscar turned away, kicking up sand as he ran off toward nearby silhouettes. Outrunning such an attack was a joke to even consider, if Oscar wanted to survive he would need to find a meat shield. Luckily, many pokemon were purposely putting themselves in harm's way in order to protect their fellow fighters. Oscar baseball slid behind a Meganium providing such protection, realizing shortly thereafter that he had slid next to priam conrad. Oscar awkwardly looked up at his friend. "Hope you don't mind if I camp over here. I don't wanna die."

Babayaga sailed overhead, watching in abject horror as the titan unleashed hell upon its fellow combatants. Unlike his master, Baba would suddenly feel a sense of hopelessness as hundreds of trainers were suddenly snuffed out. Was there any chance of victory at all? Baba shook its head violently, discarding such weak considerations. Whether victory was possible or not, Babayaga would give this his all. If he was going to die here, he might as well go out in a blaze of glory. This was the warrior's way.

Babayaga flew straight upward, a gleaming Trailblaze increasing his speed as he prepared for a desperate attempt to end this battle.

Like innumerable shots from a cannon, the titan's electric beams kept coming, striking down many of those present that had clung to hopes of success or survival.
