Ninetales paddled around the water surface, seemingly enjoying making Flareon, who remained on the shore, jealous. The Alolan pokemon dived down deep into the water before launching itself up as though making a performance. The fanciful display made Aisling irritated, but this was quickly remedied as Ninetales thrust into her hands a treasure which the Pokémon had scooped up along the way.

Stupid magikarp!

She was trying to search the sands for something shiny, and the stupid fish were getting in her way. They were too interested by the presence of people. She hated shoving them away, but what else could she do? They should make themselves useful, she thought. A magikarp could sift through the sand better than she could. But could she train one in the short amount of time she had left?

The ocean waves grew rougher. Maybe a storm was coming. Clover did his best to keep his eye on the prize. He had plenty of air in his lungs as he swam deeper and deeper, though it was a graceless act. In his defense, he didn't really know how to swim. He was mostly... uh, sinking. But whatever. Their hands reached out and brushed against the sand, feeling for something to claim.

The creature came to him, and bowed. An honorable fighter? He could respect that, and so he would give it a bow back.

Humans weren't mean to fight pokemon, it wasn't feasible.

That however wasn't going to stop him, and so when the Close Combat came, he weaved through as many as he could.

One....

Two...

Four....

Five punches landed on him out of the flurry, but it allowed him to get close enough that he aimed a powerful Kick to the Wooper's little body.

Gaius didn't need special powers to square off against a superior opponent.

The annoyance with the phone if he had a spare might try to catch this footage. After all this would be unseen.

Counting down, there's now only the Porygon missing which also holds the phone in its waterproof casing ... and it seems like it might actually be hard to find as it probably swims around, following whatever whimsy. However, that's not unique to it among this group. Fenelle allows the others to carefully swim out, too, without losing one another again.

A never-ending tragedy. Her emotions bordered on insanity. This Pokéball was taunting her. It was laughing at her just like the prismatic penitentiary inmates had been forced to laugh at their fellow man.

Whether in Ultra Space or in Hoenn, she could not escape everlasting ridicule. Her fate was sealed. There was no changing this FIXED POINT ON THE TIMELINE. She had become the fool, the clown, the Joker.

This whole treasure hunt was a sham, a joke--a monstrous, demented gag. People had been misguided and bamboozled. Whoever had set it up was probably watching them from a secret room, laughing at their misfortune and the futility of their task.

Well, laugh away! No matter how futile, she would continue to play the role of Pagliaccio, the hopeless romantic whose dreams were continuously trampled on.
