By now, the treasure field beneath the waves of Lilycove had been picked nearly clean. Shalin and Artea, her Dewgong, could no longer be picky with what they pulled from the sea bed; they would take anything they could get. She was also tired after performing her final show of the week, showing off riding Nymris by her wings instead of her Flygon for the finale. The Ultra Beast was on a totally different level of intensity than even Sandy could get to, due to how long they were. Next week, she would be traveling to Slateport, booking a hotel there to make traveling to and from the carnival for her show convenient. Flying from Petalburg to Slateport was far too long of a journey to be making three times that week.

Too tired to sit on the tail, Shalin rode Artea like a normal person would, her powerful tail propelling her to the sea floor. Not taking her time at all, she reached for the first reflective object she found, then surfaced. It was likely a Poké Ball of questionable quality, but she wouldn't know until she held it up to the light!

With the treasure field getting more and more slim, Josh found himself more and more reliant on his secret spot that only highly mobile Pokémon, such as the Dragonair he was astride, could reach. Even that spot, though, had been raided by several other divers by now; were Funtasia attendees getting that desperate? It made sense if the main pile was almost depleted. Supposedly the carnival, including the diving attraction, was moving to Slateport in two weeks, with a brand new loot cache to come with it. He could no longer be picky. He would have to take what he could get, and fast. Though he refrained from calling for EXTREME SPEED due to the dangers of using it underwater, the Dragonair was otherwise going close to full speed except in the narrow quarters of the tunnel. His find in hand, the Gym Leader raced toward the surface, the incoming sea-to-sky transition sure to get his adrenaline pumping!

"This is the life, eh, Shirley?" Howard chuckled to his Aerodactyl, patting her on the back as he leaned against her. His hat was dipped down to avoid the rays of the sun. It also blocked his view of the ocean, but he was feeling particularly lazy. He had been diving a lot, and his eyepatch was getting damp.

"Ah, that's better." Howard unwrapped his eyepatch and let it dry, though he kept his 'eye' closed. At least, what was left of it.

Suddenly, a pokeball donked him on the head, leaving Howard stunned for a moment. By the time he realized what was going on and looked up, his Clamperl had disappeared into the surf. Howard growled in annoyance and stuck the gift into his bag.

"Crikin' Clamperls..." Howard cursed under his breath.
