• 1. FORTREE GYM: BUSINESS, AS ALWAYS (and forevermore)[break]
  Challengers come and go through the halls of the Fortree Rescue & Treatment Sanctuary (a.k.a. the Fortree Gym), however things have been taking a rather… dark turn as of late. All things considered, while he thought Fortree was unreachable by Team Rocket’s influence, well, that all came crashing down the moment his ex, Tempest Quinn, shows up at the Gym’s doorstep.[break][break]
  
  While initially, things were going fine, an abrupt turn happened and now the battle lines, the inevitable battle lines, have been drawn. He now knows that his ex-partner from long ago (from just before the time he was announced as Fortree’s Gym Leader, to give an approximate timeline) is part of Team Rocket, and the shaky ‘friendship’ they had after their break-up is not going to survive the encounter.[break][break]

• 2. LEAGUE WORK, AND MORE QUESTIONS[break]
  The visits into the Ultra Deep Sea continue; and most of the times he’s down there in the literal belly of the beast, well… it doesn’t help his anxiety one bit. Now that he’s fully aware that they’re inside the belly of a literal monster that might suddenly just squirm and digest them, he’s not too keen on visiting the place again; however science and necessity from the League deems it necessary for him to literally face his fears in the worst way possible.[break][break]
  
  Despite the multiple visits into the place, he’s strengthened his connections with Miss DESIREE BLOOMS as well as Miss Yuina Higashi, even offering the latter to meet outside of the situation they’d found themselves in, whittling away at mineral deposits to take back for further study.[break][break]

  Additionally, now that the question of Dynamax spots had come up, he is on the side of the fence where this strange, ‘new’ phenomenon should be studied first before just rushing into it all willy-nilly; because as a conservationist he also cares about Pokémon—seeing as he oversees the Sanctuary’s operations in Fortree alongside his Gym Leader duties as shown here as well as here.[break][break]
  
  (And then there’s the little surprise of him finding out through the gym leader chat much later that Miss Desiree, as well as Miss Elise have minor league gyms of their own.)[break][break]
  
  Now that the RKS simulations have opened for the League, he is also looking to resume the search for clues regarding his djinni companion—heck, him and Hideo Kino have agreed to run through the simulation as many times as needed, since they’re both looking for answers to the respective ‘secrets’ that they have with them (Uxie for Hideo, not that Alex knows about it yet, and his very own Tornadus).

• 3. CONNECTIONS DEEPEN, AND THE EVERYDAY LIFE[break]
  Despite his obvious affiliation with his froggy partner and love of his life Guillermo Marceliño, Alex here has strengthened his connection with Miss Elise Calcifet in particular especially in the aftermath of the alternate Galar happening and changing their outlook on the world in more ways than one.[break][break]
  
  Maybe there was something lingering from the time they were blasted into that alternate Galar, or maybe it’s because she reminds him of one of his two sisters is why he would bend over as much as he can to help her out—especially when Remiel Calcifet is busy with other things taking up his time.[break][break]
  
  Hell, the moment he’d been informed that she was kidnapped, he wasted no time to make the trip in her cousin’s place and get her the hell out of where she’d been left—never mind if he intimidated a poor Team Rocket mook along the way with his angy angry angery Salamence.[break][break]
  
  They also have their own downtime moments too, with her teaching him about the Galarian Farfetch’d variant that he finds absolutely hilarious, alongside with learning that there is actually a certain Pokémon that is both Ice and Dragon-type (the poor thing).[break][break]
  
  Alex also made true on his promise to Yuina Higashi to meet outside of the interesting ‘situation’ they previously found themselves in, and he’s touring her around the Sanctuary, which is a nice and absolutely welcome change of pace from the time that they had first met each other in the Ultra Deep Sea.[break][break]
  
  Another old friend makes a reappearance in his life, none other than good ol’ Thomas Benoit, who gave him the rundown of what happened during BMI and had to deliver the not-so-savory news that the Megalopolans the ‘space cannibals’ have returned, and may be looking to encroach on Fortree’s borders due to proximity and location.[break][break]
  
  He is also finding it rather difficult to comprehend that his friend Remiel Calcifet had been part of Team Rocket previously, however Alex just happens to be one of those people that takes whatever confession is thrown at them; comprehending and understanding what happened. The two friends actually talk about and make a postulated guess that miss Isra Nightingale is no longer of this world, all things considered—yet he will always be ready to help the other out at a moment’s notice, big secrets aside.

  Eva Morales: In STAY WITH ME, he expresses vulnerability and his desire for her companionship only to be turned down. The rift between them is explored further in TILL FOREVER FALLS APART where she also confronts him about the blonde-haired woman (Elisabeth Fiorelli) seen in his ranch the League mistook her for.[break][break]
  
  Michael Navidson & Melody Miro: In JUDGE OF THE EARTH, he acts upon the desires of Groudon and attacks the core in Ultra Deep Sea against Navy's wishes and warnings, resulting in the death of a few of Navy's pokemon. Following that, he is confronted by Melody in DISAPPOINTMENT where she attacks him, attempting to restrain him long enough to "save him" from the RED SHARDS embedded in his flesh. Navy and Matias also shared a brief moment of goading and snide comments in the LEAGUE HOLIDAY PARTY.[break][break]
  
  paxton concordas: In DIGGING THROUGH DIRT, he is confronted by Paxton who has been assigned to keep watch over him following the events of THE GOLDEN ERA where Matias had officially been placed under League surveillance. They discuss Matias' involvement (or lack of) in the fall of Sootopolis, as well as his ongoing connection to Elisabeth Fiorelli.[break][break]
  
  kyle lopez: In EXTRACTION, he has an actual conversation with Kyle who continues to be his strongest tether to both sanity and to the League. They discuss the aftermath of what happened with Michael Navidson as well as how best to approach the future.

• 2. WHALING[break]
  Development of the historical conflict of Groudon vs Kyogre. Ever since receiving news of Kyogre being on the loose, he has been doing his best to track it around Hoenn and engaging with it where he can. He has also suggested that perhaps it is him that Kyogre hunts, and has used that assumption to mask his true intentions of wanting to kill it for good.[break][break]
  
  illeana reyes: In HOLY REVIVAL, Illeana pleads with him to avoid using Groudon as she fears the destruction the battle may cause. He shrugs off her concerns, stating that they would die if he didn't, and engages Kyogre on one of the water routes.[break][break]
  
  Greyson Connors: In THE WORLD OUTSIDE, Greyson and Matias are tasked with fending off Kyogre on the shores of Mossdeep. In this thread, Matias tells Greyson that it is him Kyogre hunts, and also that he is Hoenn's best hope of survival.[break][break]
  
  Elisabeth Fiorelli: In UNTAMED SEA, Matias asks Elisabeth out to his boat on one of the water routes. It is later revealed that he had been tracking Kyogre and proceeds to engage in battle with it, expecting help from Elisabeth only to question why she isn't using Wo-Chien (and later Tapu Fini). The battle ends with him being overconfident as he toys with a tangled-up Kyogre only for it to break free. He avoids being crippled and TELEPORTS away, setting up the follow-up which is currently being explored in I LIVED.[break][break]
  
  Eva Morales: In TILL FOREVER FALLS APART, Eva briefly confronts Matias before telling him of Kyogre's movement. She requests his assistance which he so gladly gives, and the two seek out Kyogre as they attempt to neutralize it with Rayquaza and Groudon's help.

• 1. AVATARSHIP: GROUDON[break]
  While Groudon certainly plays a factor in the deterioration of Matias' mental state and sanity, he has recently come to terms with the fact that he uses it as an excuse to not have to control his emotions and desires, stating that his volatile nature is simply a byproduct of being Groudon's avatar.[break][break]
  
  This is revealed and explored in I LIVED with Elisabeth Fiorelli where Matias reveals how Groudon consistently speaks to him with orders only for him to defy them.[break][break]
  
  
  "groudon had told me to kill you. it tells me to kill you even now as we speak."[break][break]
  
  "but i have never wanted to kill you."

  In the same thread, the two avatars discuss what it feels like to be bonded to their Gods, and also the differences in how they are communicated to.[break][break]
  
  For Groudon & Matias, the approach is far simpler and almost more primal. Only the basic desires and wants are communicated in the simplest terms: KILL. KILL HER. YOU LIAR. And never communicated in nuanced sentences or phrases.[break][break]
  
  They also discuss the separation between their thoughts and their Gods'. How does Matias know his thoughts are his own? He tells Elisabeth the following, but whether or not it's the truth is unclear:[break][break]

  But there will be consequences for his "disobedience", naturally, as their connection and agreement are built upon mutualism. Take that away and Matias becomes more of a liability than an asset to Groudon, which mirrors his relationship with the League.[break][break]
  
  The next few months will explore the fallout of failing to kill Kyogre over and over again, as well as any changes in their dynamic as Matias learns to become less dependent on Groudon.

• 1. AVATARSHIP: LEGENDARY[break]
  For this first AC, most of Isaac's exploration of his avatarship has been self-driven. Before he can live up to the name of The Liberator, he needs to decide who The Liberator is. No matter how hard he tries, he can't help others until he helps himself. However, several key bonds with others have worked wonders to help him find himself, both with the League, Team Rocket, and that endless grey area that lurks beneath the war. Through it all, he stays true to who he has been both before and after Suicune's gifts, doing what he can where he can to help those that are important to him. As his sense of self continues to develop, and his understanding of both Suicune's gifts and the League's inner workings grows, he plans on using them to free the people of Hoenn from the chains strangling the life from them.[break][break]

  Suicune came to Isaac at a crossroads. He was at the lowest point in his life; evicted dramatically from Rocket, forced to endure the slaughter of five of his teammates, and dangerously close to bleeding out right there on the forest floor. With Suicune's help, Isaac did what he did best; bounce back and keep moving forward. But with his direction no longer clear, what is forward anymore? This, moreso than anything, is the question that follows Isaac these days. Who is he? Why is he here? Where does he fit in? What is he fighting for?   Naomi Sato and howard slayte are certainly setting their sights high. Nomi views him from the perspective of one similarly blessed. To her, they've been marked for a greater destiny, and their continued growth and safety within their factions of choice is essential to save the world. Howard's view, from one down below, is a touch more cynical. He also sees Isaac as a great hero, but as one who should freely use the weak and the witless such as himself as stepping stones. While their faith in him is appreciated, Isaac finds himself chafing under their viewpoints some. The idea that he's something greater just because a magic dog saved his life doesn't sit right with him. [break](Relevant threads: Isaac vs. Nomi, Isaac and Howard)[break][break]
  
  However, that isn't to say Isaac plans on neglecting his gifts. This is where he differs from Tempest Quinn, one of the few people in Hoenn that sees no glory in his condition. Instead, he sees Isaac as a victim, bound to an inevitable death by a god's poisoned gifts. Isaac can't say he even fully disagrees with Temp. He respects the gravity and conviction that his former friend treats this change with, and he knows even if Temp's words aren't literally true his role puts him in great risk. Rather than run from this fate, Isaac prepares to face it head on. [break](Relevant threads: Attack: Isaac)[break][break]
  
  That isn't to say Isaac plans on exploiting this power. He's already seen what others can do with unchecked avatar power. Zev Harcourt is the biggest example of this, Isaac's encounters with him in the Megalopolis and resurfaced isle less meetings with Zev the man and more desperate escapes from an implacable monster. Even now, Isaac is investigating his whereabouts, almost morbidly fascinated by this metamorphosis. Equally fascinating is a run-in with one of his alternate selves, an Isaac whose lack of hardship left him a directionless hedonist. Seeing both who he once admired and who he could have been so consumed by their own power is a reminder for Isaac to never take his gifts lightly.   Some have seen this less as caution and more as a lack of commitment to his power. bryan delarosa is chief among these. In their first clash with Isaac, he and Xerneas accuse Isaac of squandering his power. They see the distance between Isaac and Suicune and wonder if there's even a bond worth forming between the two. However, when they meet again, they realize both the strength in Isaac and Suicune's mutual, independent trust and the dangers of their own codependence. Their clashes are reminders that Avatarship takes many forms, and that whenever he crosses paths with another it would do him well to learn from them.   kyle lopez and Michael Navidson share a distrust for Avatars, albeit from a different angle. They, instead, resent the inevitability with which the whims of gods and kings shape the region. This is where Isaac truly agrees; whatever Avatars are, whatever he is, he refuses to let it make him someone who lords his might over their lessers. They urge him to be an iconoclast within AQUA's ranks, joining them in helping shake things up. His acceptance puts Isaac in a very unique position, both a former Rocket outsider and a member of the League's inner circle. [break](Relevant threads: Driveby)[break][break]
  
  Isaac could just call it a day here, and coast on the champ's word keeping him safe from those who doubt him. However, Suicune didn't choose Isaac because he sat on his laurels and raked in the glory. They chose Isaac because, even at great risk, he sought to make a difference. This is an angle Isaac has continued to pursue, using Suicune's powers for reasons as great as purging Elisabeth Fiorelli's corruption of Petalburg Woods or as small as helping june sleigh deliver Christmas packages. Under ollie morales's guidance, he has joined the Rangers to further commit to this lifestyle. From the highs of AQUA to the lows of individual civilians, Isaac has every intent of making a difference. [break](Relevant threads: Solace, Broken Down Negotiations)[break][break]
  
  This even goes to Team Rocket, a group Isaac has a very complicated relationship with. He hates what they do on an organizational level, but his sympathies run deep for the lost and the listless in the same position as him. This is where his title of the Liberator shines; he intends on breaking the chains of those who need relief, both those put on them by Rocket's demands and by the League's suspicions. Already, he has helped counsel giada morgan and Hyakkaryōran Tsubaki about their own uncertainties, to say nothing of his flat-out adoption of Caleb Harcourt, Ashley Shepard, and Eris Halla as his family.   However, he isn't only here for past defectors. A part of him hopes his connections with those such as parker jones and Victoria Beckett will one day bear fruit. He knows he can't force the issue, even as he longs to tear Rocket down so they are no longer crushed by its boot upon their throats. Instead, he echoes what Rowan Wrynn had done for him in the past, offering to be the hand on the other side of the chasm to catch them when they are ready. Even if he can never reach them in full, he aims to make them think through his efforts. (And I, too, aim as a writer to make you all think OOCly and help jumpstart plots of all stripes).   In general, it is this drive to understand and empathize that guides Isaac along the highs and lows of his journey. It is what spurs him to ease the chains off of those who yearn for better, but also to break them out of the hands of their cruel masters. It is what leads to him trying to connect with small children and towering legends alike. It is what drives him to use both soothing waters and harsh ice with equal gusto. It is what stops him from lingering in one place, instead choosing to drift across the region like the northern breeze.[break][break]
  
  Isaac still doesn't have all the answers, but that's okay. Maybe Suicune's gifts are just a reflection of what he's already been doing; helping out the people he loves and the region he comes home, one step at a time, no matter how often he gets knocked down.

  after testing best buddy ol' pal Michael Navidson for aqua with a multitude of interrogations disguised as friendly banter and talks, he made his way to give Isaac Merlo an impromptu one after finding out his suicune friend during resurfaced treasures. the offers were simply shortcuts for the directions they already took off to, speeding up the course to whatever finish line they wanted to reach.

  kyle continues to look for more wayward people so he can make use of his privileges to point them to a direction of shortcuts they need. threads with Yuina Higashi and Noel Parker are on course, giving them an opportunity for an express lane should stars align.

  despite being the last person people expect to be the most inspirational, kyle tries his best to be one. for those who approach him, kyle is an assurance that they belong.

  he proves to be an anchor for MATIAS SILPH on his descent to madness in a one-sided tug-of-war for his mental, providing him a single face that his paranoia won't feed into. Josh Devlin also happens to take to kyle for advice more often than not, with his straightforwardness aiding with josh's clarity with how he sees the world from within the league.

  after goodbye galar, kyle finds himself more in-tune with ho-oh's traits, albeit they show in subtle ways, often subconsciously, mirroring the way he pulls the beasts out of the ashes to be legends themselves.

  taking a spin out of his title as the emergent, rather than being the one on the spotlight, he finds ways to reward those that gets close to him with an avenue to be a star of their own right.

  Rather than being one concise plotline, this is more of a general goal I've been looking to push for Penelope. Mainly that I want to deepen the connections between Penelope and the other faction. So far, to do this, Penelope utilized resurfaced treasure to fight several different rockets. Many of these threads are serving to act as the groundwork for future possible plotlines. So far, this list includes howard slayte, Cillian Quinn, marcus kotov, Lulu Flint, mint frost and Elisabeth Fiorelli, but there is also plans in the works of extending that list to include Tempest Quinn and jayden cross (will mention more on this).

  Out of these relationships, I'll highlight what I think was my favorite. In this thread [x], my ongoing plot with Rowan Wrynn and Elisabeth Fiorelli comes to head when Penelope meets Lulu Flint - the same head scientist she'd been told had left the region - on the battlefield. From there she reveals that Rowan had told her of her disappearance. This was a cool plot cause it (1) pulled from the ongoing plotline between penny/Rowan, and (2) created a strong foundation between these two women that we can further play with in the future.

• 2. ME COUNCILWOMAN![break]
  Basically a second goal of mine is just fulfilling the role as councilwoman. I've done this through a few different facets, some planned some already done. Namely there was the baby RAT TRAP, which helps add onto MATIAS SILPH ' plot as well as stuff that iykyk. GOLDEN ERA also now feeds into a future emphasis of SAPPHIRE initiative and directly ties with the current thread between Freya/penny/Eva catching Kyogre. This plan is going to be a future project that ties in with illeana reyes , freya morningstar , paxton concordas , ollie morales and more. If more details are needed, dm but a lot of deal with their individual plots so I don't wanna spoil things too soon fufufufu.

  I also helped lead this year's league Christmas party with Remiel Calcifet and ollie morales . This helps utilize Penny's position to help create opportunities for others within the league to have fun and chit chat.

  Firstly, I'm continuing the plotline previous described in my previous ac post. Beyond that, there are also plans with jayden cross and Elisabeth Fiorelli to have the ruinous beasts to meet.

Here, for the first time, Penelope not only follows Gunner Graves 's advice of calling out to Chi-yu, but finally accepts it full heartedly. This plot deals with Penelope's final bits of shame for the bond she's created, as her envy for power swallowed all hesitations previously holding her back.
