[attr="class","textbox"]Oh, how badly Isaac wanted to chase the Munkidori down through the sandstorm. Even as compassion, calm, and courage tried to hold him back, resentment held his heart like a specter of damnation. The memories of what Munkidori had done to him bled into the destruction that Rocket had wrought onto his home. Retribution should have been his for the taking, and yet it was smothered beneath a wall of uncaring sand.[break][break]
Pressure guided him onward and through, each staggering footstep another reminder that he was alive. Flung peals of water tried to push away the stinging sands, but for the most part Isaac was on his own. He forced himself to endure the sandstorm's vicious bite even as it threatened to tear open old wounds. If Suicune was guiding him somewhere, if Tailwinds had his back, it must have been for a reason.[break][break]
Even as glowing purple eyes faded into the storm, he continued to limp in their footsteps.[break][break]
Finally, he'd seen it. Retribution. Yet it wasn't Munkidori. No, it was another, a specter of days long past. The man who had taken his greatest accident and reimagined it into a slaughter. The man who he'd avoided making eye contact with in the corridors of the sub, knowing he just loved breaking new grunts in. The man who haunted him in his own hospital bed, murder in his eyes as he planned to finish what even
Cillian Quinn could not.[break][break]
Dorian was here. And as one of Isaac's beloved siblings lay injured by his side, the other went out of their way to tend to his wounds.[break][break]
"Get the fuck away from-!" He didn't need to say it twice. Dorian was already leaving. In fact, Isaac could hear kind, almost remorseful words drifting along the sand-blighted winds. Like a father to Eris? Disgust welled in Isaac's guts, and yet he found himself agreeing with his other sentiments. Even one of Hoenn's greatest monsters knew the kid deserved better than this.[break][break]
Why couldn't the people he supposedly fought for?[break][break]
He didn't fight Dorian on it. He'd gotten what he wanted, and the Rocket was taking aim at the titan that threatened to ravage Petalburg. The same cycle, the same old story. How many times would Isaac force himself to live through it? How many times would his heart waver when he could finally put an end to it? What would taking action even accomplish, but drawing satisfaction from blood?[break][break]
Who did Isaac truly want retribution against anymore?[break][break]
As he stared up at the red-armored Genesect, he gave Dorian a single nod. At least for this moment, there would be peace between them. Then Rocket would break it, and he would look the other way while they cleaned up their own mess, again and again, spiraling onwards into infinity. But the problems that plagued this wasteland of a region were beyond what even a liberator could solve.[break][break]
For now, he needed to focus on the problems he could. A Pokeball of his own released, Akane the Iron Thorns taking center stage. In the shadow of her fellow artificial Pokemon, Akane followed the motions of its cannon. Thorns broke off of her body, floating into the air around the Genesect and flanking it. Aiming would be simple; fire where and when the literal supercomputer did.[break][break]
Once ready, the Iron Thorns fired, Z-Power bringing its greatest weapon to bear against the Regirok.[break][break]
IRON THORNS: HYPER MASER ARRAY - ELECTRIC-TYPE: Lasers rain down on the battlefield, setting an ELECTRIC TERRAIN and giving Pokemon hit an electric-type weakness.

"If yours has a Zap Cannon, now's the time." Isaac didn't look at Dorian as he spoke. Instead, setting a gentle and appreciative hand on El's shoulder, he walked over to check on the injured Eris. Waters of life flowed from his hands, what little remaining strength he had going towards ensuring the poor girl was calmed, healed, and safe.
"Just make it count."[break][break]

Isaac leaves the M4 crew behind, goes to L4.[break]
He hates every moment of this, but seeing El tending to Dorian and Dorian speaking fondly of Eris stays his hand.[break]
Isaac wonders what would hurt more: his inaction, or giving into his inner screams for vengeance.[break]
For now, he gives Dorian a nod of understanding, then joins him in targeting Regirok.[break]
Akane the Iron Thorns is subbed in, unleashing her Z-Move on Regirok.[break]
As Isaac suggests Dorian follow up with a Zap Cannon, he goes to check on Eris.
