How did he manage to catch one of these on the line...?[break][break]

Better yet, how hadn't he been completely thrown from his seat upon feeling the line tug him forward, to begin with? The force of it had been a bit more than he'd expected, but by some mild miracle, he found his foot and continued to hold onto the catch at the end of his hook. Rather than pulling the beast out as he'd done with the rest, he suddenly found himself face to face with a large, large blue creature.[break][break]

He stared in awe and confusion before tossing a Pokeball out for another round of safekeeping after some debate.[break][break]

There was something soothing about pulling up an extra large Horsea on the line. They were too adorable. Elaine couldn't help but just stare for a moment while her expression melted one that was too lax.

"Sorry, little one. I can't keep you. Back to the water with you."

She could only keep one and the lucky Milotic that was her first catch was nothing short of what she knew she would keep no matter what.

there was nothing very special about the fish she reeled in this time. she quickly released it back into the water. maybe she would call it quits soon, because this was starting to weigh on her conscience.

another massive water-type. this time, a horsea. delta was captivated by it as sage made quick work of collecting it. they'd save this one for the weighing.

a bruxish. ugly fish. though she wasn't very keen on any fish, this fish in particular was very low on the list. as it was also very average in size, she had no problem with releasing it back to the ocean and casting her line again.

A second Mega Shard! What a find! Josh's smile was as wide as his face - one more and he would be able to have a very potent weapon in the imminent conflict! He was so excited he couldn't hold his line steady after he cast it. Either his shaking lure would attract something really big, or it wouldn't fool a single fish and attack nothing. The trip up from the undersea cave was much longer than Shalin was used to. She figured this was going to happen eventually, but did not realize how close to the end of Splashfest it was.
