The battle against the robotic hoard was somehow even more chaotic than the confrontation against Kyurem. These things were relentless killers, they knew nothing of fear or restraint. It would be terrifying if Oscar did not have Prime on his side. Prime was strong enough to rip through these monsters, but with no sign of the hoard slowing down they would need to up their game to survive.

"Fine!" Oscar cried out as more robots charged forward. Oscar pulled a Tera Orb off of his belt and raised it toward Prime. Prime flashed as the tera shard within it reacted to the orb. A grey crystal shell formed around Prime's body, charging it with Tera energy. Prime cried out as the energy empowered it, turning its type into Steel.

With its transformation done, Prime knew exactly what to do. Its cannon charged an enormous amount of power, channeling the Tera energy that now flowed within its carapace(Steelworker). Once it could no longer hold it back, Genesect unleashed a full power Steel-type Technoblast. The mighty beam ripped through anything that stood in its way, thinning the relentless herd. While it was not aiming for Kyurem, the beam was surely strong enough to travel all the way to the behemoth should nothing else get in the way.

The blast died down as Zev gave some very interesting insight. Oscar gave the beast a baffled look. "Uh, pretty sure these are just fucked up robots like, what are the odds that they're actual po--" And then Zev caught one, and Oscar felt really silly for even daring to think these could be anything but pokemon. "I'll be damned."

Oscar looked toward the torn up carcasses of the robots that were hit with Prime's technoblast, searching carefully for any that may have survived. To his surprise, there was a rather bulky fellow that was slowly getting back to its feet to the side of the carnage. The blast must have just nicked it. Oscar cackled, pulling out a pokeball and throwing it directly at its fat head.

--Genesect used Technoblast to shoot into the hoard. Empowered by its Terastallization and Steelworker ability, the blast might be strong enough to reach Kyurem.

the world around them is liquid. monstrous shapes flow like oil on water and dry air scrapes against the back of freya's throat. kirimu holds onto the light as long as he can, but when they're surrounded, a heat wave explodes out from him.[break][break]
and above them is lyune and it's as though he'd swallowed the stars. [break][break]
the celestial ray grants them a moment's respite. dozens of fallen soldiers lay scattered around them, circuits mangled and sparking. viscous fluid runs down steel plating. a few warbling gurgles are the death sounds of a few.[break][break]
one drags itself back together. one of its pronged horns had split. wires spark like exposed nerve endings. it squares off against them and bleats in a mechanical howl. kirimu snarls back and readies a beam of light, but freya is faster. the ball she throws hits it square in the chest and she waits with bated breath. [break][break]

it's sucked into the ball; it's real. just like the rest of her moons. [break][break]

Lyune dove, leaving a starlit residue in his wake like the tail of a comet, and Caleb scrambled to hold onto his saddle to keep from flying backwards. They descended further into the chasm, coming to rest by freya morningstar's side, looming over the destroyed machines, a pair of vigilant sentinels.[break][break]
"They're paradoxes," he guessed, remembering the reports, remembering the Ultra Deep Sea and its horrors. Before his very eyes, circuits sparked and quivered: some of the destroyed creatures on the periphery of Lyune's attack were seemingly capable of repairing themselves. Freya made quick work of capturing one, and Caleb turned in the other direction, throwing a Pokeball of his own at its twin.[break][break]
Her orders clear, Caleb ran a hand down Lyune's still-glowing hide. "Blast away," he urged, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth even as destruction rained down around them.[break][break]
Lyune bellowed, charging up another STELLAR TERA BLAST.[break][break]

The best he can do at this point is to dive straight for cousin dearest and get her out of the way, because if she was smart enough to notice the familiar pressure pressing down in her ears…

Since there were so many of the strange robot-like Pokémon causing mass havoc, the ‘divine gravity’ would be helped out by a sudden burst of Sheer Cold that would come crashing down around the area of the incoming robotic Pokémon horde.

Though powerful, the Iron Boulder remained standing after the CRUNCH. Aslan could not withstand a second MIGHTY CLEAVE from the rock-type, sending Josh flying off his mount and the rest of his pride running to him. More robotic mockeries of the Unovan Sacred Swords tromped past, the Gym Leader's pride overwhelmed. Kovu stepped in front of Rani, who bit into Josh's Sygna Suit and hurled the black-haired rider onto her back. He wasn't dying on her watch.

Mauville's finest trainer fought tirelessly against the oncoming horde, and to no avail. For every Iron Crown one of his lions felled, an Iron Leaves reciprocated the consciousness-sapping attack with a PSYBLADE. Mufasa, too exhausted to fight after being trampled in CLOSE COMBAT. Kovu, twin TACHYON CUTTERS. Vitani, safely in her Poké Ball after an Iron Boulder's STONE EDGE. Zira, unable to continue fighting after a SACRED SWORD cleaved almost all of her burning mane away.

All that remained of his pride was Rani.

Desperate, Josh radioed on the emergency League frequency. "This is Devlin! I'm inside the Terastal chasm fighting through these Pokémon. I'm trying to find out where they're coming from and need backup, bad! If you have anyone available -- anyone -- send them, and fast!"

Josh only had one Pyroar steed left after several had been knocked out or killed beneath him. Desperate to protect them both, the Gym Leader hurled his last emergency Quick Ball at the Iron Leaves charging at him. In a cruel twist of fate, an Iron Crown galloped in front of the pitch, intercepting his throw and being drawn into the Ball designed to catch extremely fast targets. The paradox's Pokémon's high speed worked against it, the ball landing with a click.

The Gym Leader's eyes flashed before his eyes as the Iron Leaves cleaved into the rearing Rani with its PSYBLADE -- right through the lion's ribcage, cauterizing her vital organs shut. Josh's head thumped as he and his steed were launched into the air, the two landing on top of one another. The lion's weight smashed into him, knocking him unconscious as the female Pyroar's bleeding corpse rolled toward the front of the cave.

The worst tragedy of it all was he would not know of Rani's death until all was calm in the Silent Icelands...

- Josh radios for backup. ANYONE FROM THE LEAGUE IS WELCOME TO HELP HIM!
- Desperate, Josh hurls a Poké Ball at an Iron Leaves, only for an injured Iron Crown to leap in front of the grass-type.
- The Iron Leaves darts past the Poké Ball. Its PSYBLADE tears a hole in the ribcage of his last battle-ready Pyroar, causing the Pyroar to BLEED OUT.

"good work Salem now stand back!" Razz ordered as he grabbed another pokemon from his belt. As strong as Salem was with whatever infection that granted him his unusual abilities Razz still saw him more for support. So he knew that he needed someone with a little more fire power so once the cat is back on his shoulder he calls for his Greninja. Right out of the ball MEGA EVOLVING him so that he would have more power. [break][break]

the frog quickly going in with a FEINT ATTACK to strike one of the Iron Bolders before throwing multiple WATER SHURIKENS at the boulders and knocking several out. All around Razz could see others using tactics like ROCK SLIDE and more to try and block the passage ways. Razz continuing to just attack those that got through in the mean time.

Everyone had been fighting so hard it was easy to lose track of what exactly was going on at all times. One moment someone could be on the verge of death fighting for their very life against one of these Paradox creatures, and in the next they would find a moment of respite despite the chaotic battle that was ensuing. The latter, was not in Noel's favor. Each moment was more stressful than the last, if he wasn't dodging attacks, he was issuing commands to his Pokemon to turn back the tide against the continued assault from the mechanical Pokemon.[break][break]

Sending out his Scream Tail which emits a Noble Roar, the likes of which seem to intimidate nearby enemies, causing their attacks to lose speed and ferocity. This was the chance he and the other trainers needed to push back. Keeping up with the offensive, the rotund and pink Paradox shouts out a Hyper Voice which is able to disorient some of them. One, however, is not so easily disturbed. An Iron Boulder seeks to put an end to this disruption. Sending out a mighty Stone Edge that smacks right up against Noel's Pokemon, it's left knocked down on the ground and defenseless. He quickly recalls his Pokemon, but in that time spent, the futuristic Pokemon towers above him, eyeing him down as if he were nothing more than an ant. Electricity whirs from inside its body which power up the horns on its head. They began to glow an intense, bright light that soon would come down upon him. If nothing was done, this surely would be the end for him.[break][break]

This weird sensation began to well up in her as she watched Aggron fight against the enemies that approached them. Though the more she thought about it the more it became clear it wasn’t a feeling welling up from within but rather a pressure squeezing at her.

But before she could confirm that Lars was feeling the same, dear cousin dove straight into her dragging her out and down as a SHEER COLD crashed down on the area around the robotic horde.

Still as she got back up on her feet, the sight of the Articuno brought some reassurance to her mind. If nothing else this was at least an improvement at a personal level for Lars. Still, she did want to snark at the bird, since it deserved it for its tardiness, but she bit her tongue for now.

Still, a “Thanks for showing up!” escaped her, a bit of a cheeky grin on her lips as she looked toward the ice-bird for a moment. Moments were all that she was afforded as the battle continued, Robots pressed on those not frozen marched ever on to deal harm.

Shadow Nidoqueen loosened a roar of satisfaction as the charging Iron Leaves was brought to its knees and halted with her Shadow Hold. Around her oscar clayton and Zev Harcourt seem to be catching automatons to keep for themselves, which if lessening the hoard that way worked then it worked.

"Scorching Sands," Nenet directs her Nidoqueen with. As the Shadow Hold tightens, Nidoqueen slams one foot into the frosted ground and sends a blast of ground and ice at the struggling Iron Leaves.

The mechanical Pokemon whirs as if going into overdrive, and then a harsh 'thunk' leaves it with a dizzied look. Taking the opportunity, Nenet tosses a pokeball and calls to Nidoqueen, "Keep fighting!"

Despite the paradox pokemon's sheer strength, the dragon comes out victorious. Balmung extinguishes one flame with the use of his own. However, the victory does not come without its toll. The dragon is too weak to continue after his battle with the blade. In the process of capturing the robotic creature, Roy also returns Balmung to his sphere.

In the distance, a certain ranger struggles against another mechanical opponent. Roy recognizes the man from before and seeks to assist in any way he can. A glint of light summons another reptile to the snowy fields from the trainer's pocket. Although its body lacks the traditional build of a dragon, it appears far more ferocious than even Balmung.

"Finish him."

Roy didn't actually order the creature. He simply let it loose.

Like a violent force of nature, the giant creature storms towards its intended target. It wraps its jaws around the robot before the guillotine could leave a mark on the ranger. Ascalon used Fire Fang. Both tooth and flame apply damage to the paradox's exterior before it's thrown a few inches away. The dinosaur continues the assault, giving the two men a chance to talk.

Everything had become a haze. Where once his life was in danger, now someone had come to his rescue. When the Iron Boulder had initially surprised him, Noel took a step back that caused him to fall backwards, hitting his head on a nearby wall that would blur his vision. All he knew was that he was safe for now, and that a hand was placed in front of him, he couldn't make out the words that were directed at him, but he accepts the help nonetheless. [break][break]

"Thank you... I don't know what I would've done without you. I'll be fine, I just need a bit of time."[break][break]

Little did he know that his savior was Roy Aker. The man he had met back in that strange alien-like city. Grabbing hold of his hand, Noel lifts himself up and leans back against the wall, letting out a pained groan. His body hurt all over, bruised and dirtied from all the fighting. As much as he wanted to continue helping everyone out, he needed a quick breather to get his body up and running once more. Once ready, he would jump back into action.
