They keep him around after the correct identification of Kyogre, and Cillian doesn't mind. It's like putting together a puzzle, and it's engaging enough to take his mind off-[break][break]

He blocks from his mind, forcefully.[break][break]

It's easier with anger, and the rage that's inspired by a certain pattern of stars makes his blood boil. His veins darken beneath pale skin, and a few of the more skittish scientists give the Harbinger a wide berth as his MIASMA begins to flood the space. He barely notices.[break][break]

"You," he mutters, viciously outlining OKIDOGI among the stars.

Still observing the night sky from her room in Slateport City, it's hard to discern much anything against the illuminated lights of such a large city as this one. However, she still thinks she can make out some shapes ... Looking with curiosity, she would definitely not find much genius in her own, rather wondering how people are able to make out anything amidst the floating dots of lights of everything and nothing. "Seems more like make-believe to me ... heh," she hums to herself as she lifts a hand, finger outstretched, as she tries to connect the stars that she can still make out despite.[break]

Amidst the many houses and skyscrapers of this place on earth, she is able to draw something like a Magearna with the help of the stars. Well ... if this is truly the Mythical Pokémon, of course. There are just too many mysteries left to discover about the great unknown of space (and yet, more to discover on the deep dark of the sea).

Power....

It always came back to power....

Back then, and now....

It was his lack of strength that caused him to fail time, and again.

However in this region he had seen it with his own eyes. Gods, and Monsters made manifest doing the bidding of those that they called master.

That was the sort of power that he needed to get his hands on.

With that kind of power he would be able to attract all the fighting that he could ever want, and a grin spread across his lips. Keeping his eyes fixed to the stars he found another constellation that represented the essence of what he was thinking.

It was a large creature that dwarfed all others around it. Or was it some sort of landmass? Gaius didn't know, but he still marveled at it. He bet that thing could wield endless power between it's fingers, if it had any.

Reaching out with his own hand in a mock grab of the celestial figure.

"I will have my own power one day....Then I will defeat all of those who wield the titans....".

Makoto nearly jumps at 's outburst - blinking to him, then to the telescope, then to the charts that they had printed out. "All five?" They murmured out loud, thoughtful, as they traced their fingers over them. Yes, one of them seemed to suit 's depiction of Regidrago, as well as the phantasmal jaws that they had brought forth once upon a time.

They'd at least mark down Regidraco's supposed constellation for now, and glance to the others that seemed to be near the confirmed Regice and Regirock. "... Yeah, that's Registeel, isn't it?" They murmured - tracing another constellation. Though they hadn't seen Registeel in person, they had at the very least seen the recordings taken during encounters like that in the desert.

But then they wondered, what was the huge constellation that they were gathered around..?

Scotti wasn’t much of a big picture guy. He tended to get lost in the (very short) weeds. That was probably why stuff like this was so hard for him. Still, his big sister seemed to be having the time of her life. The last thing he wanted to do was ruin it. For the hundredth time, he scrolled up and down the list of constellations.

But, to him, it just looks like a bunch of star soup. First, his eyes lock on the biggest shape at all. The titan tales reminding him of his mother’s stories. Unfortunately, his sister points it out first. “Hah! That’s 10! You better catch up, Scotti.” The brunette grinned awkwardly. “Yeah, uh, sure!” It was funny but losing never bothered him. He caught his Hawlucha’s eyes for a moment.

Help a brother out, KP. Those labrador eyes seemed to say. A faux stretch guided Scotti’s eyes toward a tiny clutch of stars to the northwest. “There’s—um—I think it’s one of the...yanno.” Cannoli laughed at him. And, as she pointed out something else, the baker couldn’t help but chuckle back.

Elise had woken up in the middle of the night by the paw of her Calyrex shard and she worries herself in looking down at the rabbit prince. It seemed that he too would have suffered the same nightmare she had and as she turns towards the sleeping form of her handsome red-headed knight, the ambassador is glad that she’s able to get the comfort of having his warm body next to hers.[break][break]

She had stayed for the night at her father’s Rustboro estate rather than to sleep in her own room in the house she shared with her roommate. Perhaps all Elise wanted was to have the warm and gentle hold of her beloved boyfriend.[break][break]

“I love you, my sweet knight.” Her voice is almost a soft whisper when she presses a softer kiss on his cheek to before moving off the soft queen sized bed. Along with the shard, she goes out of the estate’s front door and into the garden of roses that her father carefully tends to.[break][break]

“The stars are different tonight.” The Galarian princess looks up to the sky filled with stars as Charles looks up too. “And that one cluster looks almost like a fairy, doesn’t it?” She points up to the one grouping of stars and the shard of Calyrex nods. [break][break]

“I do not know when you'll get your true form, but if I show how much I've improved as an ambassador to the League's Calyrex... Your form will help us turn that tide when war reaches Rustboro City.”[break][break]

She wished so much that the forms Calyrex takes would be the power to help her fight to protect Rustboro City and further assist the League in a war-torn Hoenn.

similarities with a constellation of a similar denomination as the dog one catches his attention. he was planning on charting everything anyway, and he decides to check if the next one would look somewhat the same with the last.

dog pokemon do evolve with very little changes as far as he knows. he considers electrike to manectric to already be one of the most drastic changes physically, so he hopes this one still vaguely looks like one.

the nearest cluster of stars from the last constellation he found are traced. it doesn't look remotely like a dog, to which he defers back to the list of constellations and the description given to them.

a snake.

kyle sighs heavy with the late realization, jumping to his own conclusions without double checking facts. it's enough to kill his enthusiasm, forcing him to give himself new motivations to finish this small project.

CONSTELLATION SEARCHING


UPDATE FOR THE SECOND ROUND


BELOW IS AN UPDATE OF THE STAR CHART. The constellations that have been solved can be seen with their connecting lines.



Discovered constellations
  • "★Stm, ★AtFl" - a steam knight bowing to a spherical princess of steel.

  • "★OrdrD, ★OrdrS" - a thin dog pouncing or converting into a large land snake with a large frill.

  • "★Wlpr" - a slumbering fairy.

  • "★Irn" - a large steely titan congregating with——.

  • "★Clsl" - a moving landmass.

  • "★RtnD" - a brawny canine heeding a command.

  • "★RtnB" - a beautiful bird heeding a command.

  • "★Sbgn" - a timid fruit.



There is no deadline for this round established yet.

Or maybe it wasn't? Damn. This whole star chart thing was pretty hard. Howard's knowledge on the subject was passing, and it was more akin to something that Lulu or Alba would indulge in. Unfortunately, the admin was left with two piles of rocks and ice that didn't do much besides beep at one another.

And Makoto, bless their hearts for trying.

"Huh. You're right." Howard peered through the telescope. The other four were there, at least. Howard thought he saw Regieleki for a moment, before turning his eye to the largest constellation in the sky, rivaled only by one on the chart that came before. "That's... huge."

A giant, even.

Howard turned his eye to the nearby constellation that reminded him of Crumble. Claydol had a long and illustrious history in this region, and Howard wondered if, like the region's giants, they could be forced into motion by Dynergy. The admin pursed his lips and thought, before shrugging.

He'd look into it later.

"Hey, and that could be your sibling, Uxie," Cass points out as Azelf shifts slightly, turning towards the night sky to have a better look at the supposed constellation that allegedly represents it. It cooes, almost fondly, at the discovery.

And somewhere in there, Mesprit should also probably be ... though Cass still is a bit stunned at the slumbering one. Though, having read up more on legends accompanying the pixie, it's ... really not untrue, considering all things. "I wonder how much you've been underwater," she ponders, quietly - but her thoughts nor words are never quite fully concealed from the psychic type.

There's no reaction, however.

Was it just him, or did the stars look... different? [break][break]

On a sandy hill, Eddie rested his head against the black flank of Beau's side, as he had often done many nights back home. His eyes narrowed as he scrutinized the glittering night sky above him; where were some of his old favorites? [break][break]

“Huh, I coulda sworn that the Bull was supposed ta be in that direction,” he mused to the Tauros. Eddie waved a hand vaguely to the northeast, [break][break]

“You know, next ta the Warrior?” [break][break]

Another favorite of his, if only for its particular familiarity. Eddie would recognize that trio of stars that dotted the constellation's belt anywhere, but oddly enough, that familiar track of sky was simply... gone. [break][break]

He raised a hand and pointed a finger to the sky, as though running the tip of it across a map. He traced that distant light, from one point, to another, and another – [break][break]

“Hey, check this out!” [break][break]

The bull next to him huffed, but raised his head towards the heavens, [break][break]

“That one kinda looks like a lady! With a tail! And little horns! See!” [break][break]

One by one, the stars began to paint a picture, if only on the canvas of Eddie's mind. Beau snorted and lowered his head, eager to return to his rest. [break][break]

Locke looked away from that set of constellations-something about them was making them uneasy-and turned their attention towards a new section of the night.

He rubbed his eyes and looked again at the scattered specks of light above. This part of the sky was looking oddly familiar...
