THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF NOVEMBER ends with an autumn harvest fraught with repair efforts and a rush to acclimate for the oncoming winter. The region's temperature shows a noticeable drop as does the sense of danger. Mother nature rolls out in full force and plant life sprouts from the remnants of a battle scarred region. The failed
TOXIC TAKEOVER concludes with Team Rocket and the League scrambling to scavenge leftover tools from Ultra Space. The recent rumors of Megalopolans near Mauville is a call for concern but that isn't enough to dissuade trainers from pursuing
HOENN ADVENTOURS. Several companies have laid their stake in these endeavors by
employing trainers to excavate nearby ruins. [break][break][break]
Near the last known location of Regirock's tomb, several trainers have stumbled across an ominous opening. Inside, they will find the ruins of the Legendary Titan, riddled with traps, treasures, and the mystical unknown. No one knows what awaits them but one thing is for sure — a new arc begins. INFORMATION
DANGEROUS DISCOVERIES is a semi-private raid set to resolve previous plot points as well build upon new lore as Hoenn transitions away from Ultra Space related events. Due to the
smaller amount of content featured in this raid, the
amount of participants will be much lower than previous raids. This is subject to change depending on the amount of content designated for this raid. [break][break][break]
Those who have completed the Exciting Excavations mission
RUIN RAIDERS as of
DECEMBER 11th will be given sign-up priority. Each pair will be allowed to bring in one character of their choice into the raid as well. These characters do not have to enter the raid together. Additional slots will be given on a
first-come first-serve basis based on those who have also completed
RUIN RAIDERS. [break][break][break]
note: It is highly advised that those who wish to participate sign up regardless of the cut-off. If additional slots are added or others drop out, their entry will be given to the next applicable applicant. [break][break][break]

This raid will attempt to cover a variety of themes both IC and OOCly. [break][break][break]
In-character, this raid will adopt a more light-hearted, comedic tone. Many traditional tools used in raids will be restricted or function differently, such as specific moves, abilities, and items. Characters are encouraged to attempt to clear these obstacles but should keep an open mind about the results.
Expect multiple and frequent failures. Characters may also be forced into situations with any other character in the raid. [break][break][break]
Out-of-character, this raid will feature an experimental OOC PVP element. When prompted, players may roll a dice and pick another player OOCly to sabotage. This will factor into what happens in the subsequent mod post. Since this will be moderated at staff discretion, players should feel free to have fun with this. You may pick the same person, gang-up on groups or individuals, or roll against yourself! Players should not feel discouraged if this happens to them as staff will work accordingly to ensure all players have a 'fun' experience by the end of the raid. [break][break][break]

RULES
EVENT FORMAT
THIS EVENT IS A DUNGEON EVENT, meaning there will be moderator posts between rounds of posting. There is no posting order but they must be posted by the deadline indicated in the mod post. A failure to adhere to these deadlines will result in removal from the event. As a head's up, expect this dungeon to run for as long as up to
THREE MONTHS.[break][break][break]
In order to keep things easy for other players and the moderator, please keep your posts brief, if possible. Include a
TOO LONG; DIDN'T READ summary with each post. The TL;DR should include any actions you want the moderator to consider for the round.[break][break][break]
You will only be allowed to bring
3 POKEMON with you. Once you enter the dungeon, you will only be allowed to have
1 POKEMON out at a time. You are allowed to perform
2 MOVES PER ROUND unless otherwise stated. [break][break][break]
Occasionally, you will be prompted to
ROLL in response to an obstacle or action. To roll, use the roll command (dice icon).[break][break][break]
Lastly, this event is
DEATH-ENABLED. This means your Pokemon have a chance to die, and your characters may have a chance of dying as well. However, such circumstances will always be prompted with a prior warning, allowing your character (and others) to react! Realistically, character death is highly unlikely.

RULE CHANGES
[break]1. NO WIP POSTS
Posts should be near completion when posted. You may edit your post afterwards for typos, minor details, and formatting, but they should be filled out enough that the moderator and other players do not need to refer back to your post after you are done editing. This includes posting your roll prior to your actual posts. [break][break][break]
2. EARLY POST ADVANTAGE
In rounds that require members to roll, those who post first will be given a small modifier. This is to accommodate for the fact that these players will not have a chance to respond to subsequent posts until after the moderator posts. Modifier details will be stated in the moderator post. This may apply to more than just rolls and there may also be penalties for posts that occur close to deadline. [break][break][break]
3. STAT BOOSTS DO NOT STACK
Stat boosts will not stack in the same manner that they do through game logic. Applying stat boosts repeatedly will only extend or refresh the time frame that they're applied. This is still freeform and will be operated under the moderator's judgement. For example, using
AGILITY to increase your speed while running away may result in your Pokemon slowing down to regular speed after a post or two. Using
AGILITY again will cause them to return to sprinting, not increasing their run speed past what it was during your first post. [break][break][break]
4. DO NOT ASSUME YOUR OWN SUCCESS
There will be many situations where your character will have to interact with an object, situation, or others. Do not assume your actions will succeed. Due to the nature of the dungeon, some attacks may fail or work differently. Something as simple as trying to Mega Evolve might fail and backfire if the situation arises. You may always ask the moderator for clarification or for advice as to how things will play out. [break][break][break]
DUNGEON ROUTES
ROUTE INFORMATION
THERE WILL BE MULTIPLE ROUTES for characters to choose from.[break][break][break]
Each entrance will lead to a specific scenario which follows a specific theme. Each one will be labeled OOCly to allow players to pick what type of event they would like to partake in. These will vary in nature ranging from an expositional lore dump to facing a myriad of obstacles for your character to overcome. Some of these events may feel very character specific but will focus from a site narrative perspective instead of an overall inclusivity. Choose wisely but feel free to consult with staff if you feel 'stuck' or would like to explore a different route.[break][break][break]
1. TEMPLE OPENING
THE TRIED AND TRUE APPROACH to the typical dungeon. Explorers will enter and venture as deep as they can until they map out the main path into Regirock's Tomb. This route is open to any amount of players and will be the most likely to incorporate in-character PVP. This path will have the lowest barrier of entry in regards to acquiring a prize (unrelated to what the prize it). Should the other routes end early, they will be diverted into this route.[break][break]
This dungeon will also feature a single 'main treasure' that's up for grabs. The suspected outcome is that the dungeon will wrap up with a character laying claim to this treasure. Although the main path does not guarantee a character will receive this treasure, it is the fast path to the final round and will help players lay the groundwork for who gets this 'treasure'.[break][break][break]
2. MEGALOPOLAN ESCAPE ROUTE
THE RECENT REPORTS OF MEGALOPOLANS have led some to believe that they've fled to the recesses of these tombs. This route has the potential to explore some general Megalopolan / Ultra Space lore along with the possibility of PVE. It is recommended that this route feature no more than two or three characters. While more are welcome, some characters may be overshadowed by others depending on their action.[break][break][break]
3. MEGALOPOLAN HIDDEN ENTRANCE
A STRING OF FATE BRINGS YOU into a well hidden entrance. As if tempted by destiny, you are drawn onto a path that seems well traveled by. This route will also feature some Ultra Space lore that has a focus on Necrozma. This route will focus more on an exposition and dialogue from an NPC.[break][break][break]
It is recommended that this route feature no more than two or three characters for those looking for personal character attention. If that is not a concern, this can be a good route for those who just want to give their character some more in-character knowledge. What you do with this knowledge is up to you to decide and follow up with in future threads. To get the most value from this route, players should be able to use their creative juices to think up new threads / plots based off staff provided plot hooks. [break][break][break]
4. ARCHAEOLOGICAL DIG
COVERED IN THE SANDS OF TIME is an abandoned archaeological dig site from the first time the Desert Ruins appeared. While these grounds are outside the temple, your characters will find their way inside, leading into a string of tunnels that lead them away from every other group. This secret route will be the least likely to involve combat and therefore DE scenarios.[break][break][break]
Consider this a 'casual' route that explores this event-line's lore. This route is best suited for science / history / lore based characters. While this route will most likely result in treasure, it will be a single treasure that will require expanding upon in future events. There is no guarantee how long this will take and should be looked at as a slow burn in terms of expectations. It is recommended that this route feature no more than two or three character for those looking for personal in character attention.[break][break][break]
