Josh had at last completed every trick in the red section of the sheet. When he flipped over to the green section, there was a stern warning that the stunts following were intended for only highly skilled surfers. The easiest trick in that section was the OVER-THE-GYARADOS, rated an intimidating EXPERT 17. It involved dizzying flips on multiple axes followed by a leap off the Mantine's back with precise timing. This was on top of dealing with the disorientation from the build-up. He studied a video carefully before taking a deep breath, waiting for a big wave to come, and seeing what he could learn with his first attempt.

Shalin almost had it last time! She was starting to get the form of the first half down. It was just getting through the twists; the spin would be easy! Or at least, so she thought. Her struggle was just getting enough height to execute the first half of the STARMIE 720 with enough awareness to maintain the dizzying twirl for the finisher. She would get it.
