IC EXPLANATION



S.P.E.C.T.R.A. IS A ROCKET-BASED INITIATIVE that was run by former Rocket Admin Remiel Calcifet before his defection, then overseen by Admin Felix Gallagher before he departed to Kanto. In the wake of these changes, leadership has defaulted to the higher echelons of the Rocket organization as a whole.[break][break]

This unique initiative is designed to counteract the greatest threat facing the organization: the presence of Avatars. As part of this, several training programs, assessments, and exams have been brainstormed and developed by the highest members of Rocket to ensure that Rocket is ready to counteract those celestial threats.[break][break]

To date, these have been the following:

OOC EXPLANATION




S.P.E.C.T.R.A. exists as a way for Rocket characters to explore methods of combating the most dangerous Leaguers -- Avatars -- whether or not they are Avatars themselves.[break][break]

It likewise exists as a way for skeptical characters to challenge the concept of Avatarship in general, both within their faction and outside of it.[break][break]

Finally, it creates a method for training better fighters in Rocket and fostering relationships between higher and lower ranked members of the organization.[break][break]

To facilitate these goals, various events, rewards, and mission-based systems will exist to further these plots.


WHO CAN JOIN SPECTRA?



OFFICIAL MEMBERSHIP IN S.P.E.C.T.R.A. MUST BE VALIDATED THROUGH FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.[break][break]

To ensure the organization doesn't fall stagnant due to low member activity as well as to jumpstart initiatives, all canon Rockets are grandfathered into S.P.E.C.T.R.A. by default. (Should a character lose their canon position, they will lose access to S.P.E.C.T.R.A. unless they have completed required prerequisites.)[break][break]

Similarly, those who were already part of S.P.E.C.T.R.A. before the revamp retain their membership status, but are encouraged to complete the requirements below for their own enjoyment.[break][break]

All other S.P.E.C.T.R.A. membership is limited to ROCKET CHARACTERS and completed through a merit-based system, having met the following requirements:[break][break]

  • Have completed the following S.P.E.C.T.R.A. mission chain: Assessment I, Assessment II, Assessment III.
  • Have participated in at least ONE S.P.E.C.T.R.A. event (see list above), OR completed any other applicable S.P.E.C.T.R.A. mission listed here (not including the chain above).
  • Remain in good standing with Rocket/membership must make IC sense.

WHAT ARE THE PERKS OF JOINING S.P.E.C.T.R.A.?

Psychological Profile:



STRENGTHS: Black Dog displays remarkable loyalty to Admin . Ergo, he is doggedly loyal to Rocket. After training with God General , his capacity for tactical thinking has increased exponentially beyond his assessment in the Trinity Trials. Black Dog's ability to make friends with seemingly any Kartana he meets should not be overlooked, nor his capacity to train the ultra beasts. He is also an expert at infiltration and hand to hand combat.[break]

WEAKNESS: Though he has struck out on his own in recent times, Black Dog joined the organization with and we cannot be sure, should her interests ever come into conflict with Rocket's, that he would choose Rocket over her. That said, she is an Executive in good standing, pulls in ample money for Rocket through the Starlight Casino, and such a situation is highly unlikely. He also does not work well with Admin Cross's patron, Chien-Pao. More practically, his team has notable weaknesses to water and fire type Pokemon, both of which are plentiful in Hoenn.[break]

REASON FOR JOINING: Black Dog's stated reason for joining: "I wanna get stronger, and getting stronger means fighting the strongest people. I want to help Senpai and stand shoulder to shoulder with Yumi." Note: 'Senpai' is his nickname for Admin Cross.[break]

Psychological Profile:



STRENGTHS: While at least somewhat proficient in squad leadership, it was decided that Violet would best serve as a spy/thief/assassin in her Spectra duties and has trained to do that. She has displayed the necessary malleability, quick thinking, intelligence and obedience to her orders during the assessments. Rocket is her family of choice, which gives her a lot of motivation for her duties.[break]

WEAKNESS: Violet certainly is not Rocket's strongest fighter, both in terms of Pokemon used and physically. While she is not quite as frail or delicate as she often pretends to be, she is no powerhouse either. While her loyalty to Rocket is unbroken for sure, she is lacking actual hate, for lack of a better term, towards her opposition, which can lead to her not being as ruthless as others unless directly ordered to.[break]

REASON FOR JOINING: Violet seeks to join Spectra in part to distinguish herself, in part because of her beliefs about avatars and in part because she simply wants to make a difference, to aid Rocket and believes that she can best do that here.[break]
