Progress was being made, the bridge had reached the other side of the chasm and Heatran continued to work along its length, solidifying it with lava and filling in the cracks. Yuina remained on the edge of the chasm, it was nearly difficult to see Heatran on the other side through the ice and snow that rained down upon them, but his flickering glow, the internal fire that he held, was what she could still see.[break][break]
"I think its stable! Anyone who needs to cross should be able to get over," Yuina called, it was a group effort, as Genevieve Cromwell, Elise Calcifet, Thomas Benoit, and DESIREE BLOOMS had worked with their Pokemon to achieve the goal. It may not be the defeat or the end of this cataclysm, but they were aiding their fellow forces who would not be able to cross the depths otherwise, that had to count for something...[break][break]
Yuina was getting ready to start to make the trek across, she could see Heatran moving back towards her across the now icy bridge, to come back to her when right in front of her one of those portals burst open...[break]
Turning and breaking into a run, Yuina didn't want to know what was going to come through it, she couldn't chance it, but in her running, she felt something grab at her, and she was thrust into the snow on the ground, then it began to drag her along the ice and snow.[break][break]
"NO! No let me go!! LET ME GO," Yuina screamed, trying to grab at anything, but there was nothing but snow that came up from her hands.[break]
"DESIREE! GENNY, SOMEBODY," Yuina cried out, the arm of the unbound monster keeping its hold on her, and in one last tug, Yuina was gone, drug through the portal itself as it closed.[break][break]
In another section of the icy tundra, another portal broke through the icy air and opened again, the same arm thrusting out with Yuina in its clutches. And with all the force and strength that the appendage had, it threw her through the air, her screams piercing through the whipping snow. She couldn't see anything, she couldn't orient herself, and needless to say she was terrified until she gasped, and coughed, hitting something that she briefly felt crumble beneath the force of her weight and momentum.[break][break]
The impact was enough for her to fall still as she slumped to the ground in a limp heap, almost immediately starting to become buried in the snow and ice that did not stop.

"Yuina!", Thomas shouted, upon seeing the horrific sight of the curator being grabbed by the Hoopa's limb.

Thomas whistled for Kalameet to pick them up. The Hydreigon stopped what he was doing, flying down low enough for Thomas to get on his back.

"Desiree, care to join me?", he'd ask the idol.

Before Thomas finished mounting the dragon, the sound of a barrier shattering rang through the air. Thomas looked over to the source. "Let's go!", he told the Hydreigon, who flew Thomas and Desiree over to where Yuina wound up.

Upon reaching their destination, Thomas hopped off the back of the Hydreigon, rushing over to help dig Yuina out of the snow. "Yuina! Yuina!", Thomas called out to the Hisuian.

In his haste, he failed to take note of the people who were behind the barrier, including Isaac Merlo.

Instead, even as the dome quivered and shook around them, Isaac continued doing his best to tend to her "sprained" ankle. He even shifted over a little to make room for parker jones's Lucario, its Heal Pulses providing healing that his enchanted waters promptly accelerated.[break][break]

She'd be as good as new soon enough. The region? That was another story. El Sunderland was in agreement with Nomi; there was a prophecy being shared here, and one that dated back to their time shared in Galar. "Good," Isaac said. "If everyone knows it wasn't just some dream, that it was important, that we could have better than this-"[break][break]

Once more, the dome shuddered and shook. He didn't have time to wax lyrical. They only had time for action.[break][break]

"The more it talks, the more we learn. So we gotta keep it talking while keeping our people alive. Easy enough, if you ask me." It wasn't. Not as that damned genie continued pummeling their dome into an unstable, shuddering mess. "Gonna suck, but if the people of Hoenn are good at anything, it's being a bunch of reckless diehards. We're born for this."[break][break]

Pieces of the veil began to crinkle away, shard by shard. It was time to put that reckless diehard money where his mouth was. Isaac patted Viola on the shoulder, and her waxen body began to pump up. He mouthed a quick 'duck and cover' to the assembled company, then let Viola's Inferno erupt out at full force. Purple flame licked through the cracks in the dome, the "war" that had "raged" within finally showing itself to the outside world. In turn, the outside world answered in peals of flame and thunder, accelerating the work Hoopa had begun.[break][break]

As PENELOPE LIVY and paxton concordas broke visible gaps along the dome's surface, Isaac slid back. Water laced the soles of his shoes, allowing him to visibly reel as he raised a shield of ice to keep the Inferno at bay. He barely stuck his feet, teeth bared and shield raised. "We don't have to do this!" he protested as the Icelands' winds took his voice.[break][break]

It had been Ashley Shepard 's first mistake, the last time they'd tried to feign a confrontation. Isaac was no cold-blooded killer. He was, on the other hand, exactly the kind of idiot to try and sway hearts in the middle of a warzone. Aurelie Lefevre, while not part of the dome pact, had been on the other end of those advances on the Resurfaced Isle. If Rocket tried to take Nomi to task over his words, Aurelie could throw him under the bus for her sake.[break][break]

He wouldn't mind.[break][break]

"You're seriously trying to start shit now? With three legends on the loose?" He let his private frustrations seep into this public vent, a condemnation of Rocket that had been festering since Meteno. "Why can't you just step aside and let us-"[break][break]

CRACK. Something had gone horrifically wrong with the even tempo of Hoopa's drumming fists. A body crashed through what remained of the dome, momentum and gravity caring less about extending their torment than the legend ever had. As the body skid to a halt, Isaac was quick to slide in front of her, shield raised to try and cover the both of them. Who needed fake theatrics when you had genuine urgency?[break][break]

"Damnit! Are you okay?" he asked, half peeking over his shoulder. Yuina Higashi. The girl that he and Hideo Kino had helped talk John Sullivan up for. She deserved better than getting used as a cosmic shot put. With his free hand, Isaac pried waters from the snows of the Icelands, tracing a healing orb along any obvious wounds. "El, you're gonna have to cover me."[break][break]

And if El was to cover him, they would need to be covered from something. It was time for Parker's cue.[break][break]
