They stretched out towards Petalburg City like the fingers of a great, ephemeral beast, groping around to find out just what the source of this disruption may be.[break][break]
Faintly visible within the mists, a silhouette began to approach. Its mane flowed behind it with the grace of the waves. Its footsteps landed without so much as making a sound. As its eyes snapped open, they cast a purple glow straight through the mist as if they were a pair of overclocked headlights. For a moment, the silhouette lingered at the edge of the mists, impassively watching the proceedings.[break][break]
Then, taking off like a blur, Suicune charged towards the nearest Pheromosa.[break][break]
Completely unprepared and taken off guard, the Pheromosa was forced to a knee by a pulse of
Extrasensory power. It was left staring, dumbstruck by the power and majesty of a true legend. It wasn't alone. As two of its kin attempted to flank Suicune, a
Surf rose up from beneath them, splitting to launch them both away at once.[break][break]
That wouldn't stop the remaining Pheromosa from trying to lash out. Defiantly popping to its feet, it launched itself towards Suicune in a
High Jump Kick right to the face. Suicune didn't attempt to move. It didn't even attempt to dodge. It simply waited for its moment, then lunged to grab the Pheromosa by its ankle. Their
Ice Fang pulsed a bright white, sending blue frost creeping up the Pheromosa's leg. It writhed and fought to the best of its ability, but it was helpless after being snatched out of midair like this.[break][break]
There was no rage in Suicune's eyes. There was simply pity. Their eyes pulsed purple once more, an
Extrasensory pressure bearing down on the Pheromosa's toxic chain. It shuddered, letting out an evil hiss, but it couldn't hold out for long. It snapped into purple shards, and with it the Pheromosa could finally know peace. Suicune eased the pressure in their jaw, letting the dazed Ultra Beast fall.[break][break]
As they looked down at the Pheromosa, shadows stretched across their forms. The other two Pheromosa had risen up, and they did not look happy. Before Suicune could turn around, the duo
Lunged for them, hatred in their infected eyes.[break][break]
One of them promptly snapped out of their lunge, head jerking back as a can of cola smashed it in the face at rapid speeds. Suicune took advantage of the disruption to gracefully spin out of the way of the other's strike. As they slid to a halt, they lowered their haunches, giving an approaching Isaac just enough time to vault over their back.[break][break]
It was clear the poor guy didn't expect an invasion. He was still holding a bag of groceries in one hand, swinging it down like a bludgeon to bring it down on the Pheromosa's face. They stumbled back in a daze, unhurt but quite bothered as they glared at Isaac through knit fingers. That was all the time Isaac needed. He tossed his groceries inside, replacing them to whip up a far greater weapon. This time, an axe of ice was his choice, Isaac brandishing it towards the stubborn Pheromosa.[break][break]
"Yeah, yeah, I know I'm late," he said, earning an eye roll from Suicune as the two stood back to back. They stared the flanking Pheromosa down, their postures almost disconcertingly serene despite the anarchy erupting around the city.
"But better late than never, eh? C'mon, let's do this!"[break][break]
With a flash of Suicune's eyes, and a hand raised to the sky, a
Surf bigger than anything they could produce alone erupted from beneath them.
