His breath hitches when the next screen shows up. There is still that perverse sense of wrongness about this. About everything. Temp only manages to calm his racing thoughts enough to try and talk to Cillian Quinn. To explain his sudden outburst that no doubt confused and possibly startled the other.[break][break]

"It's using us." Which explains little. But how did you put this into words? That the scenario of this game itself was what the whole thing was... about? "The app."[break][break]

How did you blend in most effectively with something? By studying the subjects, of course.[break][break]

What better way to gauge how much humans could see, how they reacted to social situations, than to have it happen en masse in a fun little game?[break][break]

He scanned the faces to the best of his ability. A stood out at first due to her uneven eyes. But her teeth weren't sharp. And people in real life had that happen from time to time. It was unusual but not alien.[break][break]

But B... was unnerving to look out. Nose was completely missing, as if it was never there to start. Her hair seemed off, too...[break][break]

Makoto can't help but giggle to themself, at the thrill of unease this route prompts. Oh, this was a good one - for as strange as the game may be, otherwise. Though they never paid much mind to horror stories and the like, this was certainly fun all the same.

The second round would come along, though - and both faces seem... Perhaps a little off, in one way or another - but Makoto isn't sure of how much of this can be attributed to the screen's distortions, and how much it can be attributed to either face displayed actually being odd. The second one does stand out to them, however - especially for the oddly tiny eyes, the lack of definition, and how the image flickers.

Curious as to whether they'd be right or not. they'd go for Option 2 - B.

Nothing bad had happened yet, so her choice was most likely correct. The next test immediately started. The Megalopolan wasn't as obvious this time. While Girl A's teeth were decently sharp, her skin was way too tanned. Girl B appeared to be normal at first glance, but the more one looked, the more she'd turn out to be... uncanny.

both didn't have biological irregularities, not the behavioral differences observable from a still image. the quality also doesn't help with the tint of the skin or the eyes.

he supposed he'd have to judge with the teeth, of which he can only see one. the first person didn't seem to have sharp teeth, so he goes for it.

it doesn't help the second image kept flickering like the first megalopolan. whether it's a clue or not, it's hard to say. he'll keep it in mind for the next one, just to ascertain a pattern.

This second round was more difficult. Gunner stared long and hard at his screen, his eyes flitting between the two images. Eventually, he decided that B was more unnerving, simply because it lacked a human quality to its expression.[break][break]

He moved to select the option with his thumb but paused before he could tap his screen.[break][break]

If Macro Cosmos was mining data from people through their game, what would they gain from this kind of route? Could it be possible that the company was a front for the Megalopolans?[break][break]

Gunner shot a text to his boss, PENELOPE LIVY. "Macro Cosmos = Megalopolans?" Then he returned to the game and changed his mind about his selection.[break][break]
