Yujin wears a mask heavily based on the maneki-neko. It is a very rounded shape, with chubby cheeks, large eye slots, a koban coin on the forehead, and a raised paw on the right side. It's designed to look cute when viewed from the front but uncanny when viewed from the sides.

Inspired Pokemon: Espathra
Inspired Type: Psychic

Hideo wears a mask clearly based off an Espathra: the mask is rounded on top, but sharpens to a point at the bottom, like an upside-down tear. The mask is predominantly purple on the bottom two-thirds, with the remainder a cream-colored white. Large blue eyes sit at eye-level, the iris as white as the top of the mask; each eye is on the side of the mask, and if one were to look at the mask from the side, it would almost seem as if the eye on that side is gazing back at them.

Doug wears a mask of the infamous nature spirit, the Tengu, carved out of wood with his very own knife.

He's not sure why he made it this way— Perhaps he was trying to recapture the anger and indignation he no longer feels in his chest.

INSPIRED POKEMON — shadow vulpix
INSPIRED TYPE — fire

Wreathed in dark flames, the mask Barnaby crafts reminds him of several of his Pokémon.

He does his best to imitate the glinting shadowed hues of his crystalline STEELIX, the deep coppers of his VULPIX, the clever curve of his NINETALES' eye.

Unlike many of the other carnival games, this sort of activity requires finesse and creativity. He takes his time. There's no rush.

After all, he's always had a fondness for foxes and fire. Cunning and control.

When she approached the mask making station, Aurelie was sure she would end up making something crimson and fiery, something that conveyed fury and heat and writhing flames. She loved red, after all, and she'd always felt at home around fire, whether at the stove, on a campsite, or in the forge. It made sense.

And yet, somehow she found herself straying toward the blue and black fabrics. Instead of curling flames, her fingers began sculpting a shape that was almost canine in silhouette. And rather than conveying blazing wrath and power, the mask that took form under her slowly working hands seemed almost calm somehow, giving off a deep, centered feeling. There was strength in it, still, but a different kind of strength that came from intensity and concentration.

In the end, Aurelie didn't know what mood had gotten into her, to make something that looked so different from what she'd expected out of herself. Yet, she found she wasn't too unhappy with the final result: a wolf-like mask in deep blue and black. It looked very simple and probably not terribly artistic, but it looked...sort of cool. Kind of. Cool enough, anyway.

. the hollow holes behind the glalie design reveals much but one particular vector is filled with a soft silicone wall. behind it is the same void that few people ever get to see of the pokemon. they are alike in more than just SYNGA SUIT.

Inspired Pokemon: Claydol
Inspired Type: Ground / Psychic

The Mask Johanna crafts is surprisingly big. It covers the entirety of her face with only small slits for eyes and mouth. A wide band attached to each side would hold it on her face.

The mask is lovingly decorated in a Claydol pattern. The signature Claydol-like eyes adorned the mask and the band all the way around, just as it did on the living creature that stood model. The eyes were painted with a mild blueish tint giving the impression of a psychic attack in use.

The rest of the mask was painted in the earthy black shades alongside the signature white rings and golden dots.

When Johanna adorned the mask the reception was mild. An A+ for effort as some might say. But that didn’t bother her one bit. It was rare for the Claydol to show emotions mild or otherwise.

INSPIRED POKEMON: Chien Pao

This one of a kind Chien Pao mask was created as a prop by Loren Balotelli, for Teravolt's Long Nights in Jail music video.

TYPE: Steel



It reminds him, almost too much, of the daughter he'd never really had. Deep rivets in the mask are carved with exceptional care. Feathers are arranged in overlapping rows. He sheds no tears, but feels overwhelming loss as he holds it in his hands.
