“Let's go, Flowers!” Her call was whisked away by the winds that lashed against her and her Pidgeot but, after years together, her partner didn't truly need to hear her to understand. He battled the winds and the layers of cloth that Eko had bound around him.

The pair looked like a flying bundle of scarves swooping through the icy winds, occasionally dropping just low enough to scoop up a smaller pokemon and rush it out of the heart of the storm.

“There!” She jabbed a gloved finger towards the base of a large oak tree just head. “Is that a pokemon?” The bundled pair swept down and landed just beside the tree Victor Haas was behind. “You have to move!” She leapt from Flowers’ back and rushed towards what she still thought was a stuck pokemon. As she barreled forward, the outline became more clear and she registered that this was not a mid-sized pokemon somehow stuck under debris but, rather, a man clinging to his pokemon like a teddy bear.

“You gotta move, dude!” she yelled over the winds and her wrapping of scarves “Are you stuck?” There was a second’s pause before she yelled back to Flowers “Get ready!” The Pidgeot shuffled his wings, loosening his joints and the scarves around him with an agility.

here's the thing about living in a region that's constantly under threat of complete and utter turmoil - it doesn't leave a lot of room to breathe. parker has been stewing for a bit.

stewing because her girlfriend is the avatar to god's favorite creepy eyeballed children. stewing because her friend who definitely could have been her best friend up and complicated things for no godsdamned reason and she hasn't had the heart, or the time, to tell nomi that she saw isaac.

stewing because things are really fucking good when they're good and it's so easy to pretend it's all good - to kiss nomi every which way, to flirt with her all night at a silly party, to pretend everything is normal.

but then shit like this happens and she's reminded, as she's teleported onto a frozen-ass battlefield, that she's out of her fucking league -

[attr="class","aurelie_body"]Aurelie had never considered herself particularly nurturing or caring, but there was something about the report of wild Steel types—and Ice types too—who were frozen and trapped in the mysterious Silent Icelands area that aroused her pity and desire to help. Reports that the Kyurem there had emerged once more didn't hurt either.

Having encountered more Legendaries in the past year than she'd ever expected to see in her lifetime, the red-haired smith gathered up her courage and headed to the Silent Icelands. She still felt astonishingly ignorant about Legendary Pokemon, their powers, and their weaknesses, and she figured the best way to learn more was to, well, see them up close. And fight them, if she had to.

Bundled up against the raging blizzard in her thickest coat, scarf, hat, and mittens, Aurelie resembled nothing so much as a walking puffball of wool and fleece as she led her Heatran across the hard, ice-bound ground. Staying well behind the front lines, she focused on directing the Heatran to melt the frozen Pokemon already in the area with a HEAT WAVE.

She did swivel her head toward the front lines now and then, keeping an eye on the League and Rocket explorers and combatants pouring in seemingly from all directions. Every time, Aurelie had to catch her breath at the sheer size of the towering Kyurem. There's no way this thing is normal, right? she thought with a shudder that had nothing to do with the frigid cold. Even for a Legendary, this one seems insanely big! What else is going on that made it so huge?

"Let me know if any of you need backup," Aurelie called out on Rocket comms, wondering who else was here in all the confusion and commotion. Then the redhead turned her attention back to rescuing errant frozen trainers and wild Pokemon.

"Okay, you're free!" she exclaimed to a freshly thawed Skarmory, which shivered and squawked at her in bewilderment. "Get out of here while you can! Let's move on to the next one," she added, beckoning her Heatran toward a frozen pillar of ice encasing a Bronzong.

This sucks. You hate this. How the hell are you supposed to take this thing down? It's even bigger than that fucking whale, and you could barely put a dent in that thing, but now you're supposed to fight something that's, at minimum, ten times larger? This is absurd. How can Pokemon even get this big? What, have they been pumping this thing full of steroids in their little pocket dimension? This is insane.

But hey, in your capacity as a Rocket Beast, you're obligated to try. Who knows? Maybe if you luck out and beat it, they'll let you take it home, like they let howard slayte take that Regice! That'd be pretty sweet, and you'd even be able to rub it in the face of those bastards in the tech division who wouldn't let you have a Dynamax Band because they're "too expensive" and "you keep breaking prototypes during test runs" and--

As the metallic ant charges forth into the fray, you grit your teeth and rush into the freezing blizzard after him. Darkness flows out of the insect's mandibles and pools around one of the supermassive feet of the Kyurem, several pairs of gloomy tendrils reaching up in an optimistic attempt to restrain it. Is Shadow Hold really the best move to use here? You're not sure, but hell, it can't hurt to find out.

Already the bone-chilling cold begins to recede in her presence, and the ensuing lava fueled debris only helps further. Allowing his bones To warm, he briefly wonders where everyone is, though catches sight of ollie morales and Gunner Graves, as well as MATIAS SILPH, illeana reyes, kyle lopez, and more.

Nevertheless, he remains where he is; no use in clumping the league's greatest assets too close together, lest they all be killed in one sweep.

His thoughts shift to annalise henderson, and how she would handle being back in the field once more. Tempted to check-in, he lets the feeling dissipate. He'd bring her back to his side shortly, if she didn't come herself. He'd give her a few moments.

"come on, now," he tells matias, tone clearly carefree despite the situation. "the only right idea right now is to just throw something and hope it sticks."

it's not like kyle liked being credited for the simplest, straightforward idea there is, or anything in particular. everyone was going to do the same, whether or not instructions are given.

in a way, everyone's just banding together to beat up a common target. it's fun, in a way.

"it's not like rampardos or i are good for anything else right now though." Kazimir Wynter's request rings in his head. "but i guess we'll keep at it."

Gunner Graves takes MATIAS SILPH' heed and makes use of the volatile's sun with fire. Elise Calcifet and Guillermo Marceliño comes to view as well as one of the people who helped with that part of the assault.

They congregate closer to another gaggle of leaguers, and Lam thinks he picks out the familiar figures of MATIAS SILPH and kyle lopez up further ahead.[break][break]

The sheer size of the kyurem, combined with the cold is unnerving, but the added presence is reassuring. Stabilizing.[break][break]

And despite the fact that they flew in together on the back of his tank of a corviknight, it is an Iron Bundle that slides ahead of Lam now on its metallic skis, backlit eyes glowing a mechanical, bright blue as it quorks.[break][break]

“Defensive maneuvering first,” he insists to Iron Bundle as he looks down at it, and the paradox Pokémon’s eyes pulse a few times with a glow of acknowledgement as it processes the instruction.

The metal bird shuffles forward and then an array of light bursts from its beak. A shrill trill of noise echoing as it constructs a prismatic AURORA VEIL to shroud them and anyone close enough in need of the barrier as it holds through the onslaught of falling snow.

When paxton concordas greets her, the royal ambassador straightens herself to give her senior a nod. “It’s good to see you again too, sir.” More of her fellow leaguers help with bringing down the ice and particularly, the presence of Alexei Ivanov ’s boyfriend who was a fellow ranger co-worker and ollie morales made her calm her nerves. Her mic picks up the transmission of Remiel Calcifet ’s message where he tells her to be safe and cautions her not to venture into the storm alone. “Don’t worry, I’m with MATIAS SILPH and a group of other leaguers. I won't venture into the storm alone, cousin.” She uses her mic to transmit her message to her elder cousin who was rightward of the glacial dragon before her Salamence feels the cold blizzard bite at his skin.[break][break]

Another roar came from her dragon as Fafnir releases another Flamethrower from his mouth along with the other onslaught of attacks by the other Pokemon. [break][break]

For someone who insisted she wanted to keep on the down low, Eris Halla sure had a tendency to slip into every dangerous situation under the sun. They'd have to talk about that at some point during her training, but that wasn't the point right now. Instead, Isaac was just going to consider himself thankful that he knew where she was.[break][break]

If she was going to be such a little troublemaker, at least she had a walking get-out-of-jail-free card by her side.[break][break]

As a ranger, he was here on obligation to the wild Pokemon that somehow called this frigid hellhole home. Perhaps they were a symbol of the Hoenn region's resilience, carving out a life in a blight upon the land that had no business existing. Unfortunately, even the ice types that called this land home were no match for the bitter frosts of Kyurem. For once, even they craved the warmth of a flame.[break][break]

As an AQUA member, he was here to investigate just what the fuck was going on here. Hoopa. Kyurem. Even Reshiram, the "tooth dragon" whose powers had once marveled him in a duel with the head ranger. Just one unpartnered legend was an all hands on deck situation, half due to their own destructive potential and half due to Rocket's ambitions. To have three emerging at once?[break][break]

As a big brother, he was here to make sure Eris was okay.[break][break]

Together, he walked with her, Viola the Litwick hovering between the two. Her soulfire-bearing wick struggled in the bone-chilling winds, wavering back and forth as it puffed up to a flame bigger than her entire body. As she worked her waxy ass off, Isaac helped pick up the slack, Suicune's gifts allowing him to push at the cracks in the layers of frost spreading across particularly unfortunate Pokemon.[break][break]

He would break their chains, and they would be free.[break][break]

"We will.. power through. No matter what! ♡" Desiree exclaimed into her headset, twirling downward through the icy thicket. Its cold spells crackled against the metallic structure of her suit, but despite its construction, it was not enough to subside the pain. Both herself and the Altaria seethed as they took their rapid descent, maneuvering through the twinkling arrays of all types that flung toward the beast. The feeling of worry was mutual with the one that Thomas felt for her, there was no doubt about it- but she trusted his antics as much as she did his training, and expressing such matters would be of no use. Hopefully, her trust would come without tragic regret.[break][break]

Fluttering cloud wings brought the two to the flurry of snow upon the ground, cloaked in ice and worried, fleeing wild creatures. "You've got this, Thomas," she spoke softly into the comms, ".. Puff, help the poor lovelies!" Amidst the gale, having clarity in vision was something easier said than done. The dragon type raised its wings and felt the incoming snowscape encroaching on itself, but as commanded, assisted in the cloaking of the innocent and pure winter deerling that had no place to go. Following in their footsteps as it herded the babies to a bend in the frosted trees, the younglings were able to be on their way to safer parts of the region- just in time for Desiree's footsteps to lead her to friendlier faces.[break][break]

"Yuina! Kaz!" Desiree shouted through the snowstorm in relief, trudging as fast as she possibly could in their direction, "I found friends, Thomas! ♡ Leftbound, I can shoot a flare!" Unfortunately there was no time for friendly hugs and inquiries of prosperity. Flapping its wings to join Yuina's mega-evolved Charizard in its offensive, the Altaria attempts to cast a DRAGON PULSE of its own, a wish to swirl their abilities together for greater reinforcement in the attack.[break][break]
