It is believed these starry formations record history both past, present and future... as many have discovered in a ruined artifact's memory of Galar.[break][break]

Scry a celestial map for constellations in the shape of Pokemon. Depending on how many you find accurately, you may receive great rewards.

SEARCH FOR THE FOLLOWING CONSTELLATIONS. As you search for these constellations in the provided "star chart" below, you may notice that there are some discrepancies or inaccuracies. For example, there is a single constellation in the list below that is not present in the star chart image... These discrepancies represents shifts in the timeline/anomalies and/or new developments.[break][break]

Constellations that have two constellations in their classification like "★Tmpo, ★TiTr" are separate constellations, but are situated near each other to portray a narrative. Sometimes constellations are near each other, but not combined in their classification.[break][break]

Lastly, there are Pokemon that have not physically appeared on site present in this star chart. You can still "identify" them as distinct shapes, but you may not necessarily know what Pokemon they are ICly...

You do not need to "sign up" for this event.

Only one character of yours can participate per round.

To participate, post in THIS thread with your character examining the night sky physically, or by examining data pulled from Mossdeep Space Center or Satellite Cozmo (the satellite launched by Rocket during the Mossdeep Warfront).

Take the provided star chart image and attempt to match a series of stars to one of the listed constellations. Connect the twinkling stars to create a constellation. Upload your image (you can crop it, if it's too big) with your post to submit a guess!

You can only submit one guess per post; you can guess multiple times during a star chart round.

Your constellation does not need to be entirely accurate. You can use other methods to discern the constellations rather than drawing lines (e.g. using official images of Pokemon [★DrcN does not use a Pokemon]).

Even if your guess is wrong, you will still be able to earn rewards. This is a collective effort.

When all the constellations are found, a mod post will be made with the next star chart and set of constellations.

When all the constellations are found, a generous reward for those who have participated will be granted.

absinthe finally breaks away from her work only when her eyes refuse to focus any longer, and her hand cramps from clutching a pen. she's exhausted, mentally and physically, and her empty stomach churns with an acidic sense of loneliness. deciding to eat, she prepares a meager meal of canned soup and bread, but her appetite wanes halfway through her meal. she drops her spoon, soup splattering the tabletop below.[break][break]

it isn't enough to distract her from her thoughts, so she moves to her balcony, bottle of wine in hand. she gulps down a mouthful of the sharp liquid, feeling it burn her throat all the way down into her stomach, and lets out a shaky breath as she stares upwards into the endless canvas of space.[break][break]

the stars glimmer like tiny jewels embedded into the darkness. they seem to weave in and out and form tiny pictures only recognizable to those who know their patterns. her hand raises, absinthe unconsciously mimicking the motion she had done when she was little, connecting the imaginary dots of a pattern like stars in the sky.[break][break]

as she gazes at the night sky, her gaze shifts to an inconspicuous patch of the stars and she recognizes what seems to be a small fishlike constellation, the details of the creature swimming through the dark sea of space.[break][break]

surprisingly, a telescope that has been left unused in his parent's attic didn't share the same layer of dust that other items stored up there had. he can only guess noah had used it some time ago.

stars shone brightly at the clear night sky. a list of constellations were one can find are printed on a sheet of paper, alongside a star chart to help guide amateurs like him. once he finds the right orientation, he starts to look for them.

none of them seemed evident for someone like him who doesn't partake in stargazing, but guides were helpful for times like these. one particular one stood out among the rest as he finds himself unexplainably nostalgic with the shape.

he smiles as non-existent memories invoke a sense of wistfulness.

There was once a time where the Draconid people charted the stars and the sky in honor of their great deity. Hoenn was a region in which traveling by sea was imperative, and in order to do so, one needed to be able to look up at the sky and know where they were going.

Otherwise, it was likely that they'd be blinded by darkness as they crashed into the sea.

"See, if your people had any sense, they would've actually built you in a place where you could see the sky." The admin pointed at Regice as he set up a telescope he had plundered from Lulu Flint's lab to look up at the night sky. The golem did the equivalent of shrugging its shoulders.

When had it learned to do that?

"Anyway, let's see... I think it works like this?" The admin peered into the telescope, before frowning. "What the...?"

He looked up from the telescope and glared at Regice, crossing his arms as he did so.

"There's a series of stars that kinda looks like you, actually. That's odd." Howard stared back at the telescope, brow furrowed as he memorized the star pattern and began jotting it down. Regice leaned over to look, its Wishing Star pulsing through the golem's Clear Body. "See?"

When everything was unstable, confounding, indiscernible, it was common to go seeking the comfort of things that were made to be beacons of what could be. Where Yuina was lost between a past she couldn't remember, a present that was tearing her apart, and a future she couldn't know, any solace was welcome.[break][break]
She was told once that the stars were old enough to witness birth and rebirth, that they told stories and were harolds of fate. Was it true? Could she find anything, any answers, as she looked up at the night sky above?

The night sky above was always something that Makoto liked to admire, during clear sky nights like this. The moon, the glimmering stars - they were all beautiful sights. Sights that Makoto couldn't help but appreciate more and more, day by day.

Settled in next to howard slayte and Regice, Makoto would open up a few star charts they'd printed out - laying them out, weighed down with miscellaneous items to keep them flat and from moving around. Nearby, Erebus gazed at the stars above, though it otherwise kept to itself.

The mention of some stars looking like Regice would draw their attention - and once Regice had taken a looksee, they'd lean over to peek at the telescope. "... Yeah, I can see it." They murmured, unable to help a small smile from the enjoyment they felt. "Though, does that mean...?"

Glancing back at the star charts they had laid out, they'd trace out Regice's potential constellation, and then glance to a nearby cluster of stars. Idly drawing out a few lines, they'd glance to Regirock. "Would that mean this is, uhm, meant to be you?" They asked the titan, gesturing to the lines they traced out for a second constellation. Though they couldn't understand the strange flash of lights that the Regis seemed to communicate with, they were still curious of its thoughts.

When Locke was four and Vermillion was still his home, there had been a storm.

It hadn't been a particularly bad storm, really, but it had blown through while his father was out at sea, and had cut off radio contact with the ship he was working on. It had been a long, sleepless few nights for the rest of the family, but of course the ship and his father returned just fine within the week, and all returned to normal.

All except for Locke.

From then on, whenever his father set sail, Locke would not sleep. He'd lie awake until his father's return, anxiety making an insomniac of the young boy at night and plaguing him with bouts of narcolepsy during the day. With so little to the family's name, doctors and medication couldn't be afforded, nor was a change in careers an option.

The solution, as it so often is for restless children, was a story.

Ki-Ki jingled impatiently at her trainer from where she waited by the door, but Locke ignored her and kept peering at the sky. They were usually much quicker with this nightly tradition of theirs, often having identified what they were looking for before even reaching the house.

But tonight the stars seemed…off. And while they'd found the target of their imagination, they were having trouble settling on the shape of it. A horse-like creature and some kind of…big snake?

Just who had Baby Kanga met tonight…?

Once, Alba believed constellations to be patterns forced onto the stars by humanity. They were connect the dots puzzles that weren’t truly there, faces and tableaux that could only be seen on their muddy pinprick of the universe, that disappeared the moment you stepped out of it. They were too distant, too unchanging to truly embody the Archer, the Twins, or whatever other thousand-year mythos had been imposed on them.[break][break]

Nowadays, he wasn’t so sure. Perhaps the stars did dance across the sky, finding formations to reflect the fate of the world they shone down upon. Maybe heaven and earth were closer than the astronomer cared to admit.[break][break]

What a terrible thought that was.[break][break]

Nighttime was when the Space Center truly came to life, when the sun slipped away to open up the heavens that got lost in its light. And despite his distaste for the idea, as a scientist Alba couldn’t let himself be ignorant. Especially not after seeing the stars of his Galar’s night sky.[break][break]

So he sits at a desk, scrawling on a tablet screen while his Whimsicott gets dangerously close to ruining absurdly expensive astronomical equipment with cotton balls. Who would have known his degree would lead him to divining prophecies from the stars, like some ancient oracle…[break][break]

Like, God forbid, an astrologer.

Space almost seems to be a mandatory fascination for any Mossdeep native, and frankly, Fenelle isn't too different. Even if dee wonders more about the technology than the vastness of it, it's still a reason to marvel and contemplate. Especially since dee also got access to more data now with the Satellite Cozmo's newest batch that dee pulls up on der Rocket tablet with der Rotom inside of it.

Let's see what we could find here ... I think maybe this could be something? dee signs and wonders, circling some constellations.

Gaius was resting when all you did was fight as hard as he did rest was paramount.

The adrenaline in his veins wore off just as suddenly as it came, and some semblance of peace overcame him.

He lay in the dirt looking up at the sky counting the stars hoping that sleep would overtake him.

There were many rivals that he now had to find, and face again.

howard slayte , Althus Rex , Eduardo Hisakawa , kyle lopez ....

They might have forgotten him, but he hadn't forgotten them.

It was unfinished business, battles interrupted, or in the case of kyle lopez potential yet unrealized.

His mind was calm, even as his body ached, and creaked. This moment of solace did not come easy to him, but a warrior knew when they had to heal, and that was what he needed to do in this moment.

So he saw his favorite constellation, he didn't know why it was favorite, but it brought him a measure of peace that he found nowhere else. Someone told him the story of the Rabbit who snatched victory from the Jaws of Death.

Though he had been told once by ■■■■■ that Death was the great equalizer. No matter how great a man you were the Reaper took all equally. It was the only thing that all of humanity had in common.

Continuing to stare at the stars he felt a migraine coming.

Rubbing his temple he frowned at the pain as it interrupted this blissful moment.

He would rest, and tomorrow he would hunt.

The nightmares came once again as they always did, but he fought them off, much like the Rabbit he would always find victory. The Jaws of Death would never find him.

Naia knew nothing about the stars, she heard about their names in passing but never had she really took the time to really figure them out. She had heard of different constellations and how they are connected to events and Pokémon, but there was one little cluster that she noticed this clear night that really stood out for her.[break][break]

For some reason.. it just looked like a Bulbasaur..[break][break]

But none of the stories she heard about these made any sense to her, perhaps someone.. could look at Bulbasaur and think it was a grassy snail. so maybe she was just looking at the constellation ★TaRn, and if this wasn't Bulbasaur, she should really contact some people to get it officially changed.[break][break]

Eva lie down in the lush grass of her small backyard staring up at the night sky. Despite the city lights of Ever Grande, the star shined brighter than normal. Odd, considering the iatrogenic light typically washed them out. She tried not to dwell too much on the phenomenon, she simply appreciated the beautiful array of constellations above them.

The gentle glow of the Charmander’s orange embers didn’t distract her eyes too much. It provided enough light for her to occasionally consult a star chart as she attempted to pick out the constellations.

“That one kind looks like Groudon, huh?” she frowns, “Not really how they expect it to look though, huh?”
