Stargazing isn't anything too new for him. With his room in the attic back in Kanto there was an sky view for him to look out of when he struggled with his sleep. And he was doing the same now a top the roof of THEO BECKETT's home in Slateport, or his home too? It was weird to call it that but he was enjoying his time in his mentor's home. And while he definitely can't deny the improvement of his day to day life nights were still a struggle for him as he tried to get over events of the past.[break][break]

Its what brought him out here, trying to settle his mind and see just how much of the sky was similar to Kanto's. Many of which seemed new to him, though he couldn't pinpoint if it was a memory issue problem or if the sky was that different. "You guys recognized any of these?" he questions his pokemon with some amusement as if they could talk back. Both his Zorua and Bulbasuar giving him a look which makes him chuckle.[break][break]

He takes another look up and one of them definitely looks like the dog he fought when he worked with the others to try to trap the elite 4, @navy. Makes him wonder if all of the stars up here are ones of legends or something else. He looks over toward a stargazing book to try and match things up, seeing the possible 'bunny' and wondering if the thing under it was one of those 'Ultra Beast' he has heard so much about.

After quite a long meeting with the Commissioner, there would be no time for Josh to return to Mauville that day... not with how tired he was. If he had all his strength, he could utilize Regole's Extreme Speed to get back before the sun set, but there was no sense in being that reckless. Instead, he took a detour to Mossdeep City. The island city's citizens deserved to see their Champion, too.

After landing and dining in a middle-class Alto Maren restaurant, his eyes shifted toward the heavens, alongside Alina Hamako 's. "Fancy seeing you here," Josh greeted her, dismounting from his Shiny Dragonair and tilting his head upward on the clear, starry night.

The first constellation that he recognized was ★SwRn, the two bright stars in its center a stark reminder of how Resheph perished. Nearby was another Pokémon Josh recognized from when Swift sparred with PENELOPE LIVY 's fire-types, as well as Dashie's murderer, Elisabeth Fiorelli 's Patron. Seeing all three of them together made Josh shiver. "How do you not just... feel like the end of the world is coming looking up there?" he pointed toward the ruinous creatures' general direction.

Just what were they surrounding?

Josh observes ★SwRn, ★VeRn, ★TaRn, and ★BeRn and is filled with a sense of existential dread.

After waking up from her bed to go outside of the home in her nightgown, the Galarian ambassador asks the Calyrex shard while he would accompany her to the sounds of night outside. She can’t count how many times she had woken up from that horrible nightmare, but the presence of the kingly shard gives her a state of calm that nothing else couldn’t.[break][break]

Both ambassador and shard lay on the grass together. On the night sky, she can see that the stars had clustered together for the night. Each time that Elise looks at them, she misses home too. There wasn’t a feeling each day and night that the princess was homesick.[break][break]

“This cluster that we’re seeing right now… I interpret that as the appearance of King Aurelius on his Galarian Rapidash steed, riding into battle valiantly.”[break][break]

Charles gives her a nod. He yawns while he looks up at the sky with his handler. He feels the pat on his head from the Galarian ambassador.[break][break]

“But if Sir Cadeyrn Osmond wishes it, that can be Sir Bors, the King’s brave knight and his trusted royal guard who rides into battle in the name of his Galarian King too.”[break][break]

Like the Calcifets, the Osmonds had a lot of great ancestors to their ancient family name. The family of royal knights who became the guards of Queens and Kings of Galar had their own stars.[break][break]

“I assume that when Remiel Calcifet passes on and if he doesn’t take the throne, I will always picture him among the stars as a great warrior prince.”

It was a perfect night for stargazing near Slateport, the kind of evening Evelyn thought could rival her own beauty—a clear sky, the gentle rush of waves, and stars twinkling as if to flatter her. Persephone sat beside her, gazing up in awe, her innocent excitement softening Evelyn’s heart. She remained quiet, watching as her daughter pointed out different constellations with wide-eyed wonder, trying to guess what each one looked like. [break][break]

"Mom?" Persephone’s small, sweet voice broke the silence. She looked up, her eyes sparkling as she pointed at a star cluster. "Is that a dragon?"[break][break]

Evelyn's lips curled into a gentle, knowing smile as she turned to her daughter. "Close, sweetheart," she replied, with just a touch of pride in her tone. "But that's not a dragon. It’s a mighty beast called Guzzlord. They say it could gobble up mountains and swallow whole buildings." She traced the constellation with a graceful hand, recalling its name—★JnVr, she believed, though she wasn’t entirely certain.[break][break]

The jumble of stars were incomprehensible. Most were clear cut, but this set tangled in with each other. It could have been a tangela. [break][break]

She thought of her boyfriend and what he might see above. He was more creative than she was. Naturally, her mind turned to Gwendolyn Conway , too, and how the young scientist had been developing. Slowly, the Leaguer had been coming closer to Ameena's side. And that is what sells her: Gwen and her had survived a harrowing case of Guzzlord in the Megalopolis, which just might be this constellation.

From the lack of responses, Naia was beginning to believe that perhaps everyone was asleep.. or her tracing the stars wasn't as good as she thought it was. It was how she found herself back to stargazing, trying to find another cluster of nonsense to make SOMETHING she could recognize. [break][break]

It was when she managed to catch a small glimpse of a fairy Pokémon with a hammer did she take out her phone to snap yet another picture of the night sky. And thus, more stars fill the sky. While Regirock sits under a tree, staring blankly at a patch of flowers, Regice continued to stare at the phone, before its attention is pulled upward. Simultaneously, Regirock looked up at the same patch of stars in the sky.

"New stars! How lucky we are." The Rocket Admin stared through Lulu's stolen telescope, his eye narrowing. Beneath his eyepatch, his eyelids instinctively twitched as if attempting to close. "Hm? That looks like Amor's sketch of Regidrago."

The admin blinked once as he looked up from the telescope.

"THAT LOOKS LIKE AMOR'S SKETCH OF REGIDRAGO!" Howard let out a yelp and peered back into the telescope. "Wait, are they all up there? All five?"

Regidrago. Amor's dream. Nebula's purpose for being. It was up in the stars for now, but it would be his someday. That was the promise that Nebula had made to the world, and to Rocket.

[attr="class","eris109"]Tracing stars are difficult. How had astrologists in the past even come to recognise each cluster of stars as some kind of pattern? As she notes the changes in the alignment of stars, there is many thoughts that cross her mind. Instead of Unown, there are creatures that spell ruination surrounding a new, unidentified pokemon. The prism constellation, which was once Necrozma, now taking on the form she had seen depicted in the remains of Lesser Megalopolis.[break][break]

Does that mean Zacian has to prepare to fight Necrozma once more? Bigger and stronger than before? What would happen to Navy then? Her fingers grow white as she clenches her pencil. If the stars can shift to reflect a change in their reality, surely there are ways to change it even further.[break][break]

But for now, she is not here to unweave the fates written in the stars. Right now, she just wishes to record what is there and leave the planning for the future to the her of tomorrow. Looking around, she spies one cluster of stars that she marks down on a piece of scrap paper, then attempts to trace a pattern out of it.[break][break]

Noble form, tired eyes, wisps of steam. The sketch of the knight doesn't quite fit, but the shape does give her hope that she's on the right track. Looking around for a little longer, she just hopes that his princess is somewhere in the skies too.[break][break]

The nightsky bears something soothing, though she can't help but feel conflicted still over the memory. Cass hopes that one day, she could let go of those brews inside her heart, or turn them into something that still allows her to lay beside Lavinia Kubrick one day again, gazing up at the myriads of lights that have travelled so far to even reach their eyes.

But today, she finds herself only in the company of her pokémon as she gazes up, with Jon by her side and very seriously searching the night sky for the constellations that she's told him about, as another one floats more leisurely about.

"Pff. I wonder if that's actually you-?" she grins as she points at a constellation that seemingly aligns with the silhouette of Azelf. She better not tell it that it's marked as a slumbering sprite, though it's really not untrue given its history, either. "Maybe your siblings are nearby, too, I wonder."

And suddenly, those little lights seem to be far more interesting.

alina murmurs a soft greeting towards the senior ranger, shifting on the grass to make some room for the newcomers. she returns her attention back towards the skies shortly, a different section of the stars calling her name this time around. [break][break]

how do they not feel like the end of the world is coming? for a few long moments, alina does not acknowledge josh's comment as she hunts for another familiar pattern. the young ranger was aware that as a recent transplant, she only understands a sliver of the chaos that the legendaries has ensued within the past few years. she could not claim to understand the full weight that josh was bearing, and can only imagine how merciful one would feel against such devastating power. "i'm not sure." she says at last, eyes falling towards a particular cluster of glimmering lights. huh. maybe that one was one she's seen before? "but i'd like to believe that for as many forces that attempt to destroy the world, there are just as many that are trying to save it." [break][break]

one by one, stars get charted. he smiles at his small victory, wondering if he can finally add his experience with the stars to his resume.

with one star chart done, he pans his telescope to another set of stars in accordance to the cheat sheet. it takes him a while to double check if his view of the astral skies match the coordinates provided before finally parsing through the next set of constellations.

he finds one that beckons him in particular. it's obvious which one it was, and kyle immediately sets off to find it first among the sea of stars.

a thin dog pouncing... a thin dog pouncing...

he repeats the words in his head until all thin dog pokemon come to his mind. although he finds a figure of a canine in the stars, he can't quite pick out which pokemon it was.

not boltund, not lycanroc... he muses.
