Of all the things to be overruled for, Josh was somehow expecting it for the choice of food even less than he was the whole execution thing. Seriously, these guys were downright sociopaths. Killing people because they want to, and then enjoying yamper pasta? It was as generically cartoonishly villainous as could be, to the point he didn't even know if this was a Rocket propaganda piece anymore. Was this from someone straight up making fun of them? Because this was looking like a mockery.

Nomi blinked, taken aback by this next section of dialogue. Was this true about Walsh? Surely a Rocket as powerful as declan walsh would be a talented con man, but there was just something about the artistry of the encounter that felt off to her. There was a tenderness to the application of the makeup that she would not have expected of the Rocket boss.[break][break]
Then it hit her. Duh. This was still a dating game. Nomi supposed this was about as intimate as one might hope to get with Walsh, given the context. What about his question, then? That's what truly mattered.[break][break]
None of the answers captured the nuance of why she had joined Rocket, but she supposed there was one that aligned with her scientific goals. The desire to synthetically augment the human body with Avatar-like abilities...that was, at its core, about power.[break][break]

Apparently, the Rocket boss wasn't much of a fan of pasta, which she would've found positively shocking if it were, well, anyone else but Walsh. Of course, someone abnormal like him wouldn't like something as delicious, comforting, and normal as pasta.

However, he seemingly had quite a facility for concealment and makeup, which she never would have expected. That was an interesting—if spooky—talent. She told herself sternly not to overthink it too much, or she'd start fearfully wondering if any stranger she met could be Walsh in disguise.

When the in-game Declan Walsh showed a little more interest in her in-game persona, asking why they had joined Rocket in the first place, the red-haired smith frowned in thought. She imagined that most people probably joined the organization for money or power. But she hadn't. And she certainly hadn't joined for a chance to woo the boss, either.

No, she'd wanted to join the organization because it offered a chance to enact change and upset the status quo. She'd fled Kalos hating the very idea of tradition and long-held conventions. In her eyes—or, well, eye—that was what the League stood for: protecting the status quo. So, Aurelie had joined Rocket to work on toppling that smug, complacent, unbending status quo that she'd hated.

It wasn't exactly justice that she wanted, or positive social change. But it was close enough.

So Declan was a master of disguise, was he? No wonder the man had evaded capture for so long. If this despicable man was indeed the mastermind behind the death of Raikou, he would be an incredibly tricky man to catch, indeed.

Even if not for Raikou, this man had to be stopped. For Kanto. For Hoenn. For Johto. For the world. As much as it pained him to play along with what he thought was an assassination attempt on the Fuschia City Gym Leader, he had to play the role of a Rocket loyalist here. With disgust, he swiped his thumb over:

none of the answers resonated with priam, yet he knows that he, himself, chose to stay within the organization even when the option to leave had been presented to him before.

for a moment, he felt empty. maybe it really is a hollow reason to stay just because he felt like it. if one were to question him of his reason, he figured he definitely wouldn't be able to say one.

Well this was a surprising development, but something she probably ought to take note of for the future. But be that as it may she had options to pick and plenty to pick from.

In the end she figured a real Rocket person would try to reason their heinous actions with something like OPTION NR 2. Which would be the one she picked.
