Alphonse was not a man for meager, mundane celebrations. The idiocy of the whole festival gnawed at the businessman's nerves. But he was a businessman after all. It would be beyond foolish to pass up a chance for material gain. And so - in his own isolated portion of sea - Alphonse dove down, the big man came with big lungs after all. And it wasn't long before he had his eyes on the very first prize.

Setsuna wore a smile as radiant as the sunlight on seawater.

She did a neat little turn in the air and dove expertly into the calm, still waters off of Lilycove. The sea was so clear and clean she could see even underwater. And the elite ranger swam like a Goldeen - legs kicked out behind her as more guidance than propulsion. And Setsuna felt her fingers curl around the first shell - and the prize within.

Today, Shalin wasn't going to get caught treasure hunting at night, forced to rely on Bass Boost. She was going diving first thing in the morning, before her Believe It or Not attraction opened. While it wouldn't be as eye-popping as her Beedrill's demonstration was earlier in the week, her Kommo's vibrating fists being able to grind nearly any natural substance to dust would be quite the spectacle to see, especially when she was being rattled by the scales at the same time! For now, though, she dove to the sea bed with Artea, her Dewgong, in search of a rare find. If it was an off day, she would have slid back to the water-type's tail, but she needed to save her energy for her show. As amazing as it was to watch, the kind of motion her Pokémon put her through was tiring, even accounting for her Sygna Suit!

Josh had a busy day running his own attraction. The Eeveelutions, Pyroar, and Arcanine at the carnival, especially Craggro, were wiped out from running laps around the field, riders of all sizes aboard. Inky in particular was cranky after his last passenger was on the overweight side. Leaving the Glaceon in the company of his Eeveelution brothers and sisters, Josh wanted to get to the sea bed and get his haul to the surface in as little time as possible. What better Pokémon was there to do that with than Snacker, his Sharpedo? With a fierce AQUA JET, Josh and his water-type mount zipped to the shelf's floor, catching a glint of light out of the corner of their eyes. He would take his find to the surface in a matter of minutes, only able to see what he had unearthed after the sun's rays illuminated it fully.

A little known fact about Sheriff Navidson, he played the guitar as a teenager. He wouldn’t say he’s very good. His tastes are fairly in line with a certain Elite 4 Shredder’s, actually. Very punk. He goes in for hard cords. Strumming a borrowed guitar on the beach, he watches Hattori bob in and out of the water. Unconsciously, the chords grow harsher at the sight of the little frog.[break][break]
Not because of anything he’s done. Truth be told, Hattori is blameless. An innocent thing. It’s his circumstances, that someone would abuse Pokemon harshly enough to allow a Greninja as small as him to be born.[break][break]
His eyes turn gentle again when Hattori washes up on shore, holding another shiny trinket for him. These waters are filled with treasure. There’s a pang of guilt in his heart. This is a creature that really, truly loves him in a way nothing else on his team does.[break][break]

Ignoring all the warning signs stating explicitly to not do this, Desiree would slowly yet firmly climb up on one of the jagged rocks that broke the ocean's surface. It was thrill-seeking time, and the sticky gloves she had brought today were certainly helpful in breaking those rules. Clamperl attached willingly to the top of her head, almost like a headband, the two would feel the sea's mist flutter through the wind once they were up top.[break][break]

The water was rather clear in these parts of the beach, making any risk of smacking a rock hard once they'd dive in much more difficult. Picking the most open of spots to land, the two would make an attempt at a graceful dive; but it was really more like a bellyflop and a clam flop. Swimming deeper and deeper, the hunt was on once again for more treasures.[break][break]

Oh! It was…one of those strange stones. He had no idea what they were used for; it wasn't an evolutionary stone, at least not one that would work on an Eevee. Maybe someday, he'd find out their true purpose.

For now, he tossed it in the bag, awaiting whatever his Meowscarada found next. Hopefully something he knew what to do with.

Blue Shards were a valuable resource, that was something Dorian knew for sure. He understood that his fellow Rockets were searching for sets of the Shards, in order to acquire Sygna Suits.

He believed he was one off from a complete set.

In any case, he'd send his Gorebyss to dive again, while he continued to spend quality time with his son.

valuable trash was a nice hoard to keep. he still has some from last year that he hasn't touched, besides maybe a few pokeballs from the pile. then again, were those safe to use given that salt water and metal don't mix well?

as he worries about the semantics of the little things that do not matter in the grand scheme of things, he auto-pilots into the repeatable, mind-numbing activity. kyle dives into the water for the next piece of trash he can complain about.
