the salac berry was set down in the sand by the dewpider, spindly legs parting seaweed to drag out the incense it had spotted. too small to carry its haul now, and still too small to wave lulu down, it opted to fire off a weak bubble beam in her direction.[break][break]

bubbles popped violently against the scientist’s skin, stinging and sending her kicking off to the side with a start. her glare whipped around to find the dewpider standing atop its find proudly.[break][break]

The warm currents swayed the nearby kelp in hypnotic waves, within which darted Skrelp and Dragalge. Nenet watches as a Bruxish begins to bully a small Skrelp down near the base of a kelp tangle - taking pity on the sad looking seahorse, she dives deeper and shoos away the fish. The Skrelp darts into the safety of the kelp forest while Nenet turns her attention to something jutting up out of a nearby sandy bank.

The Phione dives down with the royal ambassador to the ocean waters as the Phione plays around with the other fish Pokemon while the ambassador finds a cave to grab a Clamperl from. Since Veyle had come from the sea when the little water type wanted to go along with the royal, Elise had been doting on the little baby like it was a child to raise. She dove back up with her Phione to open the Clamperl as the little water type wanted to see what they were getting too.[break][break]

After traveling into the space-time distortion, Desiree and her newly evolved Gorebyss indulged in a well-needed trip out to sea. Though the pinkette wished to bring the water type to one of the previous coral reefs she'd visited with Phione, the tide steered them to underwater terrain that, if she weren't mistaken, was a brilliant kelp forest. Swimming in between the underwater vines that spanned up to the surface, it wasn't too too deep but was just shallow enough that the sunlight could reach the bottom.[break][break]

The pink serpentine pokemon was experimenting with her new ability, granting her the feat of rapid movement underwater; it was quite the switch from her previous form, a mere Clamperl in a shell. At her side, Desiree would swim while skidding her nails through the sand- maybe this was the place all of those green berries were coming from, washed away. Finding a glimmer, an indentation, the two would work to get the treasure uncovered.[break][break]

So yesterday was a surprise because apparently he’d gotten some extra-special Pokéball that had an extra-special ‘prize’ in it, whatever that meant.

He wasn’t going to look a gift Rapidash in the mouth, though!

Today, though, he would have to make shit quick because damn it, he had to get back to work (and soon)…

Down into the murky waters he dove. What would he find this time around?

After having to deal with an escalated carnival-goer right at the end of his shift, even going as far as to refund his Funtasia tokens with Johanna Joy's approval, Josh wasn't feeling particularly ambitious. With the sun about to set, he couldn't risk being stranded in darkness if his Sharpedo couldn't beat the waning sunlight. Instead, he descended to the seafloor on Illumina, his Lanturn, whose light provided ample means to see. Not wanting to dig around, he scooped up the first foreign object he noticed lodged in the sands where the dwindling treasure pile was. This would likely be the last day he could pick up something easy; after that, he would have to get up bright and early to go hunting in the dark corners of Dewford's underwater shelf.

Putting the Mareanie in time out was a good thing, after all.

(At least she wasn’t as vicious as she initially was… or was she? Oh, what he didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him, right?)

If only Pokémon could talk… then he would be appalled to find out the truth.

Today, however, was another quiet dive into the salty water.

“So what’d you two find this time?” he hummed, bemused look on his face as the Mantyke was the one flopping towards him, balancing something on her back.

With Levy, her Milotic, having great maneuverability underwater thanks to his long, serpentine body, Shalin could slide right underneath the most dense part of the coral reef off the east side of the shore. With the most convenient parts of the shelf almost completely pilfered, she had to do some work if she wanted to being something meaningful to the surface. A glint caught her interest as she passed by the bottom of the maze, but she was unable to pull it out of the sand herself. Guiding the water-type forward until Levy's tail was aligned with the object she was trying to unearth, he gave it a strong flick, unearthing the object. Due to the relatively low lighting conditions, Shalin couldn't identify it until she brought it to the surface. She wandered the maze, getting a turn or two wrong before coming free of its confusing depths and making her way to the shore again.

If he only had some way to control time, then he’d have enough to actually get the frosting on the cake done!

As it was, he already had the cake done, he just had to be an indecisive asshole and not decide on an icing flavor because… what would the Frog like this year?

Last year… well, last year was one for the books, so this year he was hoping for something quieter…

Anyway!

Maybe a quick dive into the ocean with the remaining Wingull floatie would help him get ideas on how to decorate Memo’s birthday cake… Poiltoeds aside, of course!
