Melody's battle rages on, her scream seems to be super effective on Zev Harcourt . Seems like all that armor wasn't sound proof...if she could take him out now..[break][break]

In the middle of battle she thinks for too long, that momentary distraction was enough for zev to spot a crack in her defenses. A black crystalline tendril slices at her leg, the crimson liquid spurts out of it as she falls to one knee on her platform. She screams out but her avatar abilities stop enhancing her voice, freeing zev from her onslaught. [break][break]

Since her avatar abilities stop momentarily, the black hole begins to eat away at her platform and Melody starts to plummet into the black hole. However, her knight in yellow armor saves her, ollie morales . "Ollie!" she exclaims "Thanks for the save! I owe you." [break][break]

The momentary peace the two shared was not going to last very long however, Kyogre's rampage continued on. She spots Zev's friend unleashing a METAL SOUND attack upon the group and melody reacts instinctively and blocks the sound around only her and ollie muting the attack. (sorry robin coello and Yujin Ha ) [break][break]

After that momentary distraction, she spots zev and the friend fleeing. "Cowards!" she yells at them before urging dragonite forward. However zev himself decides to retaliate, creating an arm cannon of sorts with it pointed directly at her allies. “NO!” she yells as Melody feels the immense pressure and energy from the attack.[break][break]

She could manipulate a lot of different materials, but light? She had no time to really think of what to do so she turned around and instinctively ordered the group ( ollie morales robin coello Yujin Ha and lam logan ) “MOVE QUICKLY! DON'T DEFEND” she says, instructing them all to move quicker.[break][break]

If they obeyed her order they’d move with a quick speed. Melody then sees where Zev was heading, origin pulses were incoming right now and Kygore was attempting to escape from sootopolis and bring that same rain to the rest of the region. She couldn’t allow that to happen, she had to switch targets or else kyogre would destroy everything “Meloetta!” she cries out as the muse of music rushed besides them and unleashes it’s RELIC SONG at the origin pulses that came towards the city in an attempt to destroy the blasts in mid air. [break][break]

TLDR:[break]
. Melody is struck by a crystalline tendril zev unleashed and it interrupts her creating her platform and she starts to plummet towards the black hole.[break]
. ollie morales comes in to save Melody and in return Melody tries to block the metal sound using her avatar abilities to mute the area round her and ollie (but it's too quick so she cant save robin coello Yujin Ha and lam logan .)
. Melody however spots zev preparing a massive attack and sends out an order to the group as a whole, using her abilities to order them to "MOVE". If they submit themselves to her order they'll gain a burst of speed to move out of the way of the attack.[break]
.Melody switches targets from stopping zev to stopping kyogre as he'll destroy the whole city. [break]
.Meloetta unleashes a RELIC SONG towards the origin pulse blasts to try and stop them before they reach sootopolis.

The Battle of Sootopolis

Wishes and curses were two sides of the same coin. Just as someone wished to bring salvation, another would be cursed with damnation. It was the inevitable, toxic balance that reality lay before her.

No matter how much she had wished for a reversal in the outcome before her, the world would not answer. She could pray and pray as much as she wanted, but she knew that there was no God in heaven to listen to her.

It was the paradoxical coexistence of diametrically opposed forces. Much like the hope and deapair that swirled in her heart.

Much like the feeling of the warm and cold liquids that splashed across her face.

"Gr..."

Her hand reached out. But nobody would ever reply. Despite the chaos and cacophony, the world had gone unbearably silent.

"...ab..."

She could only force out the last words she had said before it all came tumbling down. Because no matter how much she spoke them, nobody would ever reply.

"...on..."

The sea before her grew red. Red liquid had splattered across her chest and face.

"Aaa...."

She had done everything in her power. She had spoken with such grandeur and made such vivacious declarations, but this was all Elaine had to show for it. A person she had desperately tried to save, dragged under water and buried in blankets of rubble.

Gwendolyn's blood was warm. She was able to ascertain that from the feeling on her face. That was as cold enough a reminder the world had left her of what her ineptitude had left behind.

Her eyes widened. From her mouth flew out a high pitched cry as she desperately tried to reach into the reddened waters from her position.

It had happened again. Even though those memories were not truly her own, they never felt more real than in that moment as they intruded upon her. The mountains of corpses left behind of people she had failed to save. And she had once again added to that pile.

The scientist at the space center had told her not to think of him as one of that pile but as someone who's will she had inherited. But the curse left behind here was far greater than any inherited will.

After all, there was no will to inherit here. Gwendolyn hadn't gone down trying to fight. She was taken down by the senseless barrage of violence and the crumbling of the world around her.

And so, she screamed. And struggled. And screamed. And struggled. And screamed. And struggled. And screamed. And struggled. And screamed. And struggled. And screamed. And struggled. And screamed. And struggled. And screamed. And struggled. And screamed. And struggled. And screamed. And struggled. And screamed.

Until, eventually, her throat ran dry and could maintain that scream no more. As if telling her to stop before she spat up blood, her body shut it all down.

Her mind struggled to come to terms with reality, but everything else had long since done so.

Even the Kingdra she rode had done so. The sea dragon turned away. She wanted to protest and tell her to turn back but she couldn't even muster the voice to do so. She could only watch as her Pokemon did the next best thing for her.

After all, within all the chaos, the Rayquaza had risen from just near them. Kyogre had just passed them. Necrozma was attacking everything. They were within the line of fire for every one and everything.

Her eyes were glazed over and she had isolated herself in her own world, but the world continued on.

And she could not mourn if she was dead.

Even if tears streamed down her face. Even if her eyes were red and puffy. Even if the splatter of blood remained on her face. She could not falter.

She could mourn and flail when it was all truly over. For now, she had to do something. To act as the bulwark for those who she had yet to protect in the name of those she failed to protect. Even if that wish would be tarnished by an equal curse, she would do it. If god in heaven would not listen to her prayers, then she would pray to herself.

Though she couldn't speak, she could still act. Elaine pointed at the Kyogre in the sky. Though the city seemed to be stuck in entropy, there was still a source to it all. She would help contain it before everything was lost.

The Kingdra unleashed a draconic pulse from its mouth aimed straight at the belly of the leviathan above them.

Kingdra uses Dragon Pulse on Kyogre from underneath it (based on the map positioning)

As all things go up, they must come down. Through sheer luck and a bit of help from those surrounding them, he, Mitsuru Kagami and the Entei gracefully land nearby the Dyna Tree without a single scratch. Safety is nowhere nearby however, the Kyogre has now undergone a primal transformation, its power boosted greater than ever before.[break][break]

Before Noel can tackle this bigger threat, he helps Mitsuru down should, she need it, after getting back on his own two feet onto the wet ground.[break][break]

"It's going to be difficult getting you out of here... but I promise we'll make your escape safe and sound once the League handles the situation."[break][break]

He turns his head over to the Entei. Unsure of whether this Pokemon was wild or of this woman's, he could tell that they were of like minds.[break][break]

"Stay by this guy. It'll protect you, I'm sure."[break][break]

With that said, Noel faces the task at hand. He stands before the the ongoing chaos between man and legendary. Yet another is being waged with the same ferocity. Close by, giada morgan and declan walsh along with Aurelie Lefevre's Roaring Moon stare each other down, the three getting ready for the first to make their move. Two on one, the odds seemed stacked against the lone Ranger.[break][break]

Swiftly does Noel switch out his Shaymin for his Milotic once more and ride to Giada's side after receiving her intel. He wouldn't allow her to handle this alone.[break][break]

"Don't worry, I've got your back."[break][break]

And now here he was face to face with the head honcho himself. Not quite the way Noel had envisioned himself meeting the Rocket boss so soon, but he wouldn't allow this opportunity to escape him. They had the potential to end things here, now. Of course, it wouldn't turn out to be that easy.[break][break]

"We'll take them on together... We won't fail."[break][break]

The Milotic's eyes glow an eerie light. A chill creeps into the air, before hardening around the sea serpent into deadly icicle projectiles suspended in the air. Soon, a Blizzard of crystallized ice are shot towards the Rocket duo, hoping to land a shot onto either them or their Pokemon.

Much to Thomas' horror, the civilians began to close in, pulling the Rocket from his watery grave.

"You're all making a grave mistake! That man and his ilk will lead you all to oppressive ruin!", Thomas called out to the people. Despite this, Thomas backs off from them, allowing them to save the man, rather than try to stop them, or attack him further. Though he figures the Underboss is better off dead, having civilians die in the process is something he refused to allow.

As Kyogre breached the city, a bigger problem emerged. The civilians, and their Pokemon, were in the danger zone. He had to evacuate them, but knew that they didn't trust him, nor the League.

As much as he hated to do it, the only way he could feasibly save them was through Cillian, and his corrupted Lugia.

"Quinn, we need to get these people to safety! Help me, please!", Thomas pleaded with the Underboss. As he spoke, he could feel his stomach violently churning, like the waters below. Nausea, at the prospect of having to beg the Underboss, beg Rocket for help. An act that would no doubt secure their loyalty to their false shepherds. Nevertheless, it was the only viable avenue to save them.

When Cillian agreed to the evacuation, Thomas and Tapu Koko wasted no time in their efforts. The duo pulled civilians out of the raging waters, placing them onto the back of the Shadow Lugia.

The hard look given to him by Tempest was reciprocated. Just because they managed to find common ground in this one instance, didn't mean that they were done fighting. No, the next time they met, it'd surely be more bloodshed.

As Cillian flew off to get the civilians to safety, Thomas and Tapu Koko joined in on the fight against Kyogre. Tapu Koko dropped Thomas off on the first platform they could find. After making sure Thomas was safe, Tapu Koko folded themselves up into their shell, before charging at the rampant Kyogre. With the power of its Electric Terrain, and its prior Charge, Tapu Koko made a breakneck Wild Charge towards the Sea Baskin Pokemon.

The moment he said it suddenly felt like a golden key being pushed into a lock — suddenly, the world beneath his feet began to shift, gravity pulling him upwards through the shimmering sky of his Wyrdeer's STARRY SHIELD. Aimlessly, his feet kicked against the open air as he felt his body lifting skyward admist the growing oblivion. "He's here — quick, we have to —"

[break][break] The STARRY SHIELD had protected Yuina Higashi from ameena abadi's blaze, but Hoenn's Champion was nowhere near as lucky. However, as it turned out, she didn't need luck.

[break][break] Melody Miro was an avatar.

[break][break] Ollie's eyes widened as he made the connection, not yet having known that Melody Miro had gone through the holy rites that so many other people in life had as of recent. PENELOPE LIVY, Greyson Connors, illeana reyes, Eva Morales.

[break][break] Memories rush forward, suddenly, of them on the boat in Sootopolis Bay when they had first met, chasing away Groudon cultists. The sun blindingly bright against a sunny blue sky, her pink hair flashing behind him as she threw them off-board without even a moment's hesitation. She had been amazing then. She was amazing now.

[break][break] Kicking his feet in the air, the Head Ranger grapples for his Wyrdeer's golden horns for stability. He wrestles into his LEAGUE COMMS and shouts into it as loud as he can: "It's Ollie. Everyone focus your attacks on NECROZOMA! Help Melody Miro!"

[break][break] Thanks to the help of their friends, Melody's SUPER-POWERED screams rang vibrantly against the NECROZOMA'S black crystals, stunning him momentarily. But it doesn't last long enough. Emerald green eyes widen at the sight of Melody Miro being dragged forcibly into the black hole. And instead of holding onto his Wyrdeer for stability, he lets go.

[break][break] Releasing his Dragonite instead, Ollie relies on the pull of gravity to DIVE towards Melody Miro and pulls her tightly to his chest. He looks into her eyes, sighing with relief. "I'm just glad I was able to get to you in time."

[break][break] Just in time too, because the normal gravity turns to them shortly, as Zev Harcourt's black sky warps back into normalcy. For a very, very brief moment, relief spreads through his chest.

[break][break] Only to be replaced by horror as he realizes KYOGRE has undergone PRIMAL REVERSION, bolts of lightning scarring the sky as the rest of the world plunges into a FEARFUL DELUGE.

[break][break] His eyes widen, once more, noticing the glowing light of Zev Harcourt's arm-cannon. Directed right for —

[break][break] "EVERYONE!" he shouts, frantic. Even with the power of Melody Miro's COMMANDS, there isn't enough time. "GET AWAY!"

a solution for his worries fades with each passing second. this had been the one lead he has had for the longest time, but it only takes mere seconds for it to dwindle down to nothing.

it reminded him of the burnt tower, but an ironic twist of events spells the rain in a different light in this story.

entei was the spectator. it had established that from the start. it wasn't meant to tamper with how things were supposed to go as much as it already did, and a dilemma starts to corrupt its calm.

it licks the fruit's juices off of its lips.

embers start to flicker from the warmth emanated by its fur. these same flames that soothe Mitsuru Kagami's palms from the stalactite's residue burns hot altogether, numbed by the torrential rain that flooded the city.

entei throws Mitsuru Kagami off as it starts to vent off its frustrations.

in the same manner of storytelling, an inferno is once again involved. sacred fire engulfs the tree from its branches, eating away at the cancer that plagued those that embedded itself deeply within sootopolis soil.

the downpour dampens the beast's tantrums, but it doesn't ease away at the feelings of lost.

Caleb watches as freya morningstar's home is swallowed by an angry sea, Kyogre's primal cries an ode to the inevitability of mass destruction. Perhaps it was always destined to drown them: this war between two unrelenting factions.[break][break]
But Rayquaza is rising, resplendent in their draconic glory, defying what feels like a fated end. Caleb gazes upwards, watching the unprecedented transformation, falling to his knees in the already-knee-deep water as his spirit bursts aflame with defiance before this real display of divinity.[break][break]
Dragons do not bend. Dragons do not break. Dragons do not retreat. Dragons advance.[break][break]
In that moment, tide threatening to pull him under, Caleb presses the button to relay a message through his comms - to all of them, to anyone listening - and speaks aloud the only incantation he can think of to ward away despair.[break][break]

It is then that Lyra reappears, the Mega-Lapras scooping him up onto her shell with her own rallying battle cry, and Caleb coughs out water and sucks in breath. A voice crackles through, finally catching his attention.[break][break]
ollie morales. His heart skips a beat. It's Ollie, and he's begging for anyone available to help drive off Necrozma's Avatar.[break][break]
"That way," he directs Lyra, pointing towards the unnatural darkness coating the nearby cliffside. "To Zev."[break][break]
She races through the waves, and he vaguely registers just how much water there is. Too much. Enough to flood Ever Grande, if this continues. Maybe even Lilycove and Mossdeep. He can't worry about that now - that's a problem for after they've survived this battle.[break][break]
Just as he arrives, the darkness dissipates. He spies Ollie immediately, as if magnetically drawn to the other man's presence. Melody Miro is cradled in his arms - alive, thankfully. Lightning thunders down around them, dangerously close to striking him. They need to leave, but Zev is -[break][break]
He locks eyes with his brother for a half-second, before the laser fires.[break][break]
"OLLIE! MELODY!"[break][break]
As he calls out to his best friend and the champion, waving for them to retreat to Caleb's position, Lyra channels her power and fires a DRAGON PULSE into Pistachio's DRACO METEOR, intending to empower it against Zev's attack.[break][break]
Dragons would win this war, for good or for ill. Caleb somehow knew this - deep down, beneath all of his exhaustion and anxiety and anger, where hope persists.[break][break]

Tumultuous as the storm of her thoughts was, the distortion couldn't hold forever. Yuina was seething, drowning in anguish and fury as she looked down at Ollie, and even as he rose, no longer burned in the fire of the attack that was meant for her... Yuina couldn't help but cling to that.[break]
She put Ollie in harms way for nothing else than he cared for her... It didn't matter that the woman and that Gardevoir wished her ill, it was because Ollie cared, and that notion put him in harms way because of her... It was her fault? And she thought of everyone else that might have done the same thing, and would continue to put themselves in front of her in spite of their own lives being at stake. If her reckonning with the Drk Triad came to pass... If the path that she was forced to follow did lead her to the white haired woman and someone stood in the way... What would happen?[break][break]
The distortion shattered, Yuina couldn't maintain control over the break in time space any more than she could willingly summon it, and they were left in the open once more. Ollie took command, his Dragonite was readying an attack, but Yuina glanced past Celebi that flitted in the air beside her, and saw another bout of flames rushing towards them both... In a single moment, Yuina felt her chest tighten, everything else fell around her as things happened in slow motion it felt like.[break]
The Mystical Fire rushed through the air, liable to consume the sprite that too had done nothing wrong except choose to be involved with her... Her reservations were cast aside, where she thought of him as a harbinger, a messenger for a fate that she could never fight, it wasn't his fault... And for all of the times that she pushed him away, for every moment that he still remained with her... Yuina rushed forward and tugged the sprite into her arms, holding him close and turning her back to the fire.[break][break]
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry Celebi, you've done nothing wrong," Yuina spoke, in what she thought would be a last moment to recompense, bracing for the heat that rushed at her back... But it never came. The Starry Shield flickered, taking in the blow of the attack before dissipating... They were both alright.[break][break]
Yuina heaved a breath, arms trembling as they fell away from Celebi, where she had thought she'd been so close to death... But the sprite trilled as it flitted from her frame, locking eyes with the Gardevoir. The Psychic may already be familiar with the sensation, for Celebi had already done it once before, tapping in with his own psychic energy and mirroring, no, Mimicing the Gardevoir's power. His eyes flashed, and in his hands he held flame that began to burn and grow in intensity before releasing the same Mystical Fire at both the Gardevoir and her human.[break][break]
Turning to face her adversary, where the rest of the world had still fallen away from her so consumed by the white haired lady's words playing in her head over and over again, Yuina wanted to say something, she opened her mouth to speak... But as if she had been encompassed in a bubble, it popped and all at once the true chaos of everything taking place around them came to life at ollie morales's shouts. Everything was so loud, deafening almost, Yuina's panic spiked, but there was no action that she could take to lessen the impact of what was about to happen...[break][break]
Willing him to safety, Celebi disappeared, and as quick as she could manage Yuina fumbled for Daikenki's Pokeball. The laser made impact, the very ground they all stood on began to crumble away, bursting in showers of rock and debris as the energy assaulted the crater's edge. Knowing she would lose sight of them, knowing... this wasn't going to be an easy escape, Yuina glanced quickly at ollie morales and Melody Miro in the near distance, just to know that they were alright before moving to cling to Daikenki who tried to leap through a shower of falling rocks and into the rushing water that came from the crumbling walls.

∞ Ollie is okay, but at what cost? It's her fault that he nearly died in the first place because he cared enough to put himself in the line of fire... Will she continue to put everyone she cares about in harms way with the Drk Triad?[break]
∞ ameena abadi and Gardevoir are V rude and go for another Mystical Fire that was liable to hit Celebi. Yuina moves to sacrifice herself for the sprite, relinquishing her reservations about him and not wanting someone else to get hurt when the attack is meant for her. She apologizes to Celebi, for choosing in ignorance to think that he was just a messenger, when she should have been treating him like a friend[break]
∞ Oh wait, nvm, Gardevoir misses a second time! Starry Shield saves the day, for now. Celebi uses Mimic and says "Hey I can do that too!", uses Mystical Fire back at Ameena and Gardevoir[break]
∞ Ameena vs Yuina is cut short, laser beams cut into the crater's edge and break everything. Yuina bids Celebi away and takes out Daikenki in hopes that maybe if they survive being crushed and blown up, she might survive drowning too... Looks to make sure that ollie morales and Melody Miro are okay before clinging to Daikenki and running, hoping for the best.[break]

He cackled, wishing he could spit in her face.

”I’d never kill a civilian. But you? I could kill you without hesitation.” This woman? She was no innocent civilian.

Though, perhaps Aoki Hana’s words were having some sort of affect on him. Navy's single plea had left his mind as peer lust for blood and anger clouded his judgement. He was blinded with emotions he had buried down.

Behind his eyes, he saw red.

He felt like he was back in Unova again, filled with power and rage. And there was only one way for him to channel it.

Montgomery sent a silent prayer that the STUN SPORES hit and would give him ample time to wield his weapon once more. He aimed his gun, firing another ANCHOR SHOT towards the Rocket individual. At the same time, her swords swung for him.

She struck down upon his BRELOOM, a guaranteed hit, but her second sword pierced his thigh. He cursed, blood seeping through his pant leg as he staggered forward. His Pokemon fell to the blow, leaving him defenseless unless the bullet he shot managed to entrap Aoki Hana.

The world is ending.

There's no other explanation. The fearsome control of gravity Necrozma summons, its otherworldly grip over the sky, shows only one crack in its inky, abyssal armor: the flinch from Melody Miro 's voice. Her power amplified by Sinistea is a small saving grace. Robin wants to move to protect her as she falls from the sky, but she hears Robin and turns to see lam logan with some green pokemon she's never seen before - another god, perhaps; what was one more? - and luckily, ollie morales catches Melody in her moment of distraction.

What had trickled through her subconscious before and finally dripped into the pool of sick in her gut was the realization that his voice (Zev Harcourt ), was that of the man who had nearly abducted her on the ocean routes - the one who had propelled her down her path of seeking strength and Rocket's destruction. She had pushed her pokemon to the point of breaking in the pursuit of making them undefeatable, had caused Gwendolyn Conway to cry at the sight of it, had feared ghosts for the first time in her life because of his Marshadow, had had fitful nightmares for months and it was him wielding the limitless and conquering force of Necrozma that threatened all she held dear.

For all that it should have confirmed about her path, about fate and the inevitability of her newfound status as a psychic (her birthright), the reality of the situation overcame the fantasy of it. It rendered her small. Prey. Human. Her feet were glued to the earth like a painted bullseye for the absolute killing power of the laser he summoned -

Sound filled the battlefield and her ears and became inseparable from her body - the radio demand of Ollie to move, Melody's command to move which compels her supernaturally, Neffatari Nzingha 's metal sound. Noise noise noise noise noise, amplified by bread and circuses and reaching a fever pitch even as she flees unnaturally quick at Melody's godly order (were her feet even moving at her own command, was she even in control of her body?), as Sinistea terastallizes and uses tera blast at the crater by Robin's prey-like feet to propel her with the explosion away away away. She is flung from the earth and soars towards Lam like a limp, flightless bird.

As she is flung from the crater to evade Necrozma's world-shattering laser, as the equilibrium in her chest flips, as the oceans rise and soak in red which she sees only in her dizzying peripheral, she finally hears nothing.

Her vision blurs, rendering her senseless as she descends to the crumbling, begrudging earth.

Still, BARNABY FINCH's thanks made her smile, even if her exhaustion—both physical and mental—only deepened as he clasped her shoulder.

She was more than happy to climb onto the now-terastallized Galarian Moltres' back behind the admin and escape the rapidly rising water. On a day like this, riding a Legendary to avoid being killed by another Legendary didn't seem far-fetched at all.

"Thanks for the ride, sir," she sighed gratefully, tugging her dark welding goggles further over her eyes to shield them from Moltres' dazzling radiance. "I'm glad you're here. I'd say you've paid back catching you earlier."

When they circled back toward Zekrom, though, Aurelie shook her head. "I think this is where I hop off, though. I saw the Dyna Tree get cracked almost in half! I don't think I'd be much use in a fight, but maybe I could...help it..."

On that note of self-doubting uncertainty, she nevertheless patted Admin Bee briefly on the arm and then pulled out a Pokeball. Taking a deep breath, she jumped down toward the surging sea.

On the clifftop next to declan walsh, her Roaring Moon only had enough time to strike once at giada morgan with a fierce CRUNCH of its toothy jaws. Then, it disappeared in a flash when Aurelie recalled it to release her Milotic. The beautiful serpentine Pokemon splashed agilely through the water, allowing the redhead to land across her back with a faint grunt.

"To the tree, Coralie," she whispered to the Milotic, waving and flashing a thumbs-up upward at the admin. "I trust you to sail through this. I don't know if this is the right thing to do, but..."

She was no healer, after all. But she was no fighter either, not really. She was just here, unlucky and ill-prepared and foolish and weak—and tired, most all, mortally tired of living on the knife's edge of fear.

But she pressed on across the roiling water and found the damaged trunk of the Dyna Tree, as well as the strange petrified tree she and the others found under the Cave of Origin. Around her, gods and titans and a veritable constellation of powerful trainers clashed. Laser beams fired, music rang out, space-time ripped apart, dragons soared, fireballs blazed, black holes gaped, lances flew, and an ORIGIN PULSE set everything aglow with brilliant, baleful blue energy.

Amidst all the chaos and destruction, Aurelie watered a tree. Or, well, technically, her Milotic watered it with a nurturing infusion of luminous, effervescent LIFE DEW.

He pleads with xerneas but knows he has to act. "If you're gonna die. Then I'm staying here until the end. You won't die alone. I'll be right back. Please wait for me." he says with a deep despair in his voice as the water starts to rise enough that it lifts him away from xerneas. He knew who was responsible for his chosen's death. It was rocket, however the one who dealt the final blow..[break][break]

He swims over to the tree, grabbing onto a nearby branch alongside his audino to ensure he had solid footing. He growls his teeth and gives audino it's next set of orders. " Mega Audino. Dazzling gleam, attack all the nearby enemy league forces" he tells it. He then picks up the creature tosses it into the air it absorbs some of the light in the area and unleashes a DAZZLING GLEAM. As things stood, he had no idea what he could really do. He didn't want to rip branches off of the tree to throw them cause then Xerneas would pointlessly suffer more. He clenches his fist. If only he still had all of his abilities, he could have manipulate the dynatre. A pit forms in his stomach, his failures haunting him. He would make this right himself. He notices Adrian Malcolm nearby, his sygnasuit..despite having lost his patron he was still able to do so much. [break][break]

The shackles of ENVY and HATRED were unrelenting. Even in the dangers of the rain, high winds, and maelstrom of lightning, the negative emotions overpowered the Champion. No one was going to deny Josh the chance to get answers from MATIAS SILPH . Especially not jayden cross . Keeping a tight hold on the RAINBOW FEATHER as its quill violently blew in the wind, the hateful Gym Leader drew the Sign.

The monochrome Beast reappeared, though its thunder had been drowned out by the surrounding storm. The rising waters covered Josh's feet as his legendary partner zoomed toward the Cursed and the snow cat in perhaps the fastest series of QUICK ATTACKs in the world. Like a jouster, the ashen image of the Johtonian god of speed shot back and forth across the buildings whose roofs were rapidly being submerged...

...until the water level became too high for him to maintain the attacks. Reflecting his innermost thoughts, Swift splashed into the rising waters and scooped Josh atop his thundercloud. "What are you doing, Swift?! Tear them up!" his ENVIOUS and HATEFUL self ordered. Swift didn't listen; the only orders the Beast listened to were the ones from deep within him. The Ruinous Beasts' emotions only penetrated through to the lowest points of the surface of Josh's mind. It was the Great One's blessing and protection that shielded the innermost mind -- and his body -- from that very ruin.

As the waters rose, covering half of Swift's legs, the Raikou leaped away from the flying, primal water-type, carrying Josh to the only safe place in Sootopolis. His thundercloud merged with that of the primal weather, the Raikou floating with it. The Pidgeot's-eye-view of the battle gave Josh a good look at just how widespread the carnage was.

A giant wave of water sent Resheph's frozen corpse flying into the air, making his emotions hurt just as much as his left arm was from the violent ascent. Pain he had not felt in weeks. Just how much of his rehab had been undone from a Beast he couldn't control?

And just how much more of it would be undone when his forbidden ride inevitably descended to the ground at the speed of lightning?

- Josh summons his Raikou and orders it to tear jayden cross and Chien-Pao up in a QUICK ATTACK.
- As the roof he is standing on is overtaken by flood waters, Raikou scoops Josh onto his thundercloud and latches onto the underside of the storm cloud accompanying Kyogre's primal weather.
- Josh and his Raikou disagree with one another, his trainer's surface thoughts conflicting with his subconscious.
- As Josh sights his Dragonair's frozen body in the churning waves, his arm flares up in pain again, reminding him that he is, indeed, still not at full capacity.

Victory was her anguished cries. Like sunlight kissing skin, Penelope felt its warmth, an immediate sense of gratification far deeper than any medallion or golden prize. The councilwoman stepped closer. Combat still roared around her, taking shape within Greyson Connors's trial by fire, and the ongoing slaughter near Sootpolis' center.

Both should've risen concern. One dealt with the fate of a friend, the other the region. But vindication made her strong. It calcified her worries, hardening them into daggers and knives, whet by the visions she shared with jayden cross and Elisabeth Fiorelli.

Her throat burned raw against the friction rubbed against it. Penelope tried to push backward, readying to evade the attack that was hellbent for her, but a sudden BULLDOZE rendered preparation useless. Tremors struck the earth, forcing her knees to buckle to remain upright. And then, before movement could light her joints, cold blossomed across her cheek.[break][break]

Time became fluid: slow in feeling, fast in movement. It made the the pain feel eternal. It washed away the befores and afters, leaving behind only the now, with Penelope body thrown backward, red staining her path. She tried to resist, to put her hands forward and prevent Nomi's body from pushing into her, but there was no combating crystal with flesh.

Between the winks of pink peering through the blue, Penelope felt their bodies crash into the water, where pain bit her body. Everything cried out. From the busted blood vessels, to her body, existence became torture.

Blinking back tears, Penelope stared back up at Nomi from the ground, her vision mottled but not forgotten, as it had been the last time an attack struck so deeply. [break][break]

Magma enveloped her body, starting off as dots, evolving into a soft membrane-like shield. It gurgled out, bubbles popping around her arms and legs, and steam rose upward.

"You know visionary," Hand to a knee, her lips scrunched into a frown, The Coveted clawed to her feet, standing up tall beside Chi-yu, who casted MEAN LOOK on the avatar and its unown. "I feel bad for you. You fight, you bleed, for what? An impossible goal?"

The next words come out louder, more vicious than before. A crowing laughter so vivid, it'd feel almost internal, like a voice lodged into the back of her head. "Have they even told you? I doubt it. My fellow beasts of ruin can be so secretive sometimes. Even towards those around them."[break][break]

Envying the displayed power of her opponents, Penelope can STEAL any learned move or ability of a Pokemon in battle. These moves and abilities cannot be accessed once the battle ends. Due to the effort it requires, Penelope can only reliably sustain one replication at a time and will have difficulty sustaining multiple, often times with recoil damage or other consequences. When Penelope inherits these power/abilities, they are corrupted through ENVY, which often makes them less potent than the original copy.

Pressure would begin to build around her body. It'd feel like a tight layer of plastic encasing her, keeping her still. The longer she listened, the harder it would get to move, as Penelope attempted to eliminate the option of escape.

"This reality is destined to end, and this battle solidifies it. Nothing you've done has mattered. if you don't believe me now, then you will soon. When a skeletal star falls, you'll know for once you've been given the truth."

Again, she'd feel the familiar rise of warmth, as magma popped below her feet, rising to possibly scorch, once and for all.

Like lemmings, some concerned Civilians jump in after Cillian Quinn. It would be heartwarming, a proof of how good that Rocket has treated them smeared in the League's face. Yet, now, it only brings concern.[break][break]

"Stop!" He pleads, voice matching with Thomas Benoit's. The water continues to rise. Was there really a place for them to go? Just into the water's icy embrace? Tempest was a strong swimmer with all the gear needed to survive. But what about anyone else trapped here?[break][break]

Of course not.[break][break]

Durandal splashes back into the water off of Lugia's back, the Kabutops circling around her trainer. The Electric Terrain crackles over her skin, harmless for the moment.[break][break]

A long look is shared with Thomas and Cillian. A brief conversation with his husband.[break][break]

"Get on Lugia's back!" Tempest calls, loud. He helps pull his husband over to the shadowed legend himself, then dives back in to grab any fleeting civilians. Durandal zips under the waves, sinking her scythes into clothes so she can help toss them onto the Legend's back as well. As was her orders.[break][break]

With the help of Thomas, they manage to get them all safely on the prickly legend's back. With that done, Temp gives Thomas a hard but meaningful look before turning his head away from him. No words are exchanged. None are needed. They both know this changes nothing between them. The next time they see the other, it will be back to all out war.[break][break]

Durandal pants in the water from the effort. Tempest calls her back into her ball and tosses out Marina. The Sharpedo splashes into the choppy water. Tempest takes his rebreather back from Cillian, then shares a quick kiss with his husband.[break][break]

"I'm going to help with Kyogre! Get out of here safe, alright?" Temp phrases it to Cillian like an order, face serious. Affection and worry mingle in his eyes before he hops back into the water next to his pokemon. Snapping the rebreather back between his teeth, Temp's Sygna Suit hums to alert. He grasps his pokemon's fin, mounting her for proper water combat.[break][break]

Marina shoots off like a bullet, Z-Energy picking up around her. The two of them didn't have unholy power like the Avatars did, but that didn't mean Tempest Quinn and Marina weren't going to help beat this oversized whale's ass.[break][break]

A crackling spark of energy wrapped around Marina as she shot forward, a water spout starting to swirl around her. As the Sharpedo picked up speed, she slowly raised into the air as she was carried forward. Her looming shadow in the waves, she tried to slam her Z-Move into Kyogre, sharp teeth trying to sink into the whale's hide while the water spout tried to hinder movements.[break][break]

sharpedo summons a massive whirlpool which it hides inside of. sharpedo then slams into an enemy so it can crunch with powerful jaws.
