Josh had reserved an earlier time slot to go Mantine Surfing than he had any time last week. He was successful performing both the most BASIC of tricks. Now it was time to dip his toes into the murky waters that were DIFFICULT tricks, the first of which he had his eyes on was the PRIMARINA TWIST. This was an important one to master if he wanted to ascend the leaderboards, as it was the perfect balance between degree of difficulty and judge appeal. While most surfers waited for a shallow wave, Josh had his chosen Mantine push out to sea when he saw a medium-sized wave coming.

He commanded a simple jump over the shallow wave, then plowed toward his targeted wave at high speed, getting enough height to start twirling forward. Finally came the hardest part, he had to perform a mid-air somersault and land back on the water-type: not his forte at all. At peak rotation speed after the second forward rotation, he jumped off the now-falling Pokémon, turning around and letting his momentum carry him into a reverse flip. Now all he had to do was land back on the Mantine. He didn't have to stick the landing; for it to count, all he needed to do was make sure he was anywhere on its back before it hit the water again.

After watching Josh's attempt at the PRIMARINA TWIST, it was Shalin's turn to attempt it, and she learned best by doing. She was much more fiexible than Josh was; her difficulty would be in maintaining enough balance after the double forward flip to turn around. While she did need to turn around to convert her forward rotational momentum into backward, the landing part would be the easiest for her. She was used to far wilder motion; this would be easy, right?

You know what they say, right!? Fourth time was the charm right hahahaaaa... Was Noah even there at this point? Only physically, and not spiritually, it's been a rough four days and four tries but maybe this one was the one, maybe finally he would be able to to do something. [break][break]

Giving a slight nod to the same Matine from the previous days Noah would ride it into the sea, slowly and unwillingly, at this point he was just not giving up out of pure spite against himself but it surely didn't feel good either way.
