He’s actively trying not to think about the fact that this is his first meeting as part of the captains, because it’ll only open a whole can of nerves. But this is fine! He’s fine. All that matters today is focusing on the meeting and taking the time to see how things are going at the other bases. Several little mental notes are made as the room falls quiet for opening remarks—more notably to touch base with annalise henderson and see how she’s faring, as well as to formally congratulate Razz on his promotion, as well as officially introduce himself for the first time. Idly, he snacks on the makeshift plate he gathered moments before. But sudden movement to his right distracts him.[break][break]

An unfamiliar face sneaks up alongside him, probably looking to just blend in while the group claps to congratulate the new head ranger. Unfortunately for any effort to be discreet, Wren clocks him immediately, and fixes leyon cœur with a kilowatt-bright smile. In the lull between points of discussion, his head tilts sideways toward the newcomer. Similarly, his hand makes a sideways reach in offering. “Hey, haven’t seen you around before! Paxton slipped in a as Razz takes the stage, quietly offering up meager offering of boxed donuts. Glazed, sprinkles, Boston cream- the works. A couple baker's dozen for the rangers. "Hopefully they don't toss these around like last time." he murmured to himself before snatching up a couple of those adorable MIMIKYU LEMON LIME MACARONS. He doesn't hide his excitement, chewing quickly through the first and popping the next in his mouth. A quick snack before he got to work. He moves closer to listen. [break][break]

If he can catch their eyes, he greets them looking over at Elinor Anderson as he recognized her from his boss' own work with her. Laurence Anderson , a head ranger he had ollie morales who he had tried to be on friendly terms with last meeting. When he sees annalise henderson , he beelines to her, gently tapping her on the shoulder. "How're you feeling?" he asked. He doesn't need to have heard to know they probably announced her departure as Head Ranger. "I brought donuts." he added, offering a small smile before looking back up as Razz Kingsman opened up the floor for questions. [break][break]

He claps his hands together to rid them of crumbs before pulling out a small notepad and flipping through, checking notes from the previous meeting. He'd spoken to the Silph Co ranger before, now he wondered if he'd see any change in his actions. His eyes move to Laurence Anderson to see if he would jump in. After all, they were co-heads of the ranger corps. If they didn't have a united front the meeting might break down pretty quickly. [break][break]

"Orion Lykos , as an ex-councilman, don't you already know the answer to that question through your work with FERNANDO SILPH ? Much like Razz Kingsman , he didn't leave his work as Silph Co CEO, and yet you found ways to work through council issues with him, correct?" Paxton's eyes move up from his notebook to the one armed ranger. He's not sure if the inquiry is coming from a place of genuine concern, bitterness of both. Regardless, it's probably something PENELOPE LIVY would like to look into. "Let's not throw stones right now, and conduct proper investigations as necessary. Complaints are always welcome at the Office of Accountability and Intelligence. I'm sure the good Commissioner would be interested to know any new information regarding her new appointee." If dahlia goode thought him good enough, then he had to be. But if the Ranger Corps couldn't accept another appointee from the Council...ugh what a headache. [break][break]

His attention moved to ELAINA PIERCE at the mention of illeana reyes . Oh, shit, he needed to text her. His eyes move to Callan Young next, as he raises a concern other than the obvious conflict of interest. The Silph Co ranger contracts. Well, singular- contract. Razz is quiet at first, his expression a neutral one as others mad their commotion, some even walking in late. He doesn't recognize this leyon cœur but he'll try to keep note for another time. Though as far as he was aware the other wasn't a Ranger from Slateport. Though it does seem one of his own does have a comment, and of course it would be Orion Lykos. Though it seems like he isn't the only one concerned as even Callan Young also express it as well, Razz just tilting his head at them in some confusion because why would his having worked with Silph Co meant anything to them?[break][break]

OH well might has well nip that in the bud now anyways, "By taking this job I have resigned my position under Silph Co. though I have no qualms with it's CEO, the Counselman took me in during a time when I had my doubts about this organization," he says as he gives a pointed look to Laurence Anderson before looking to the room again. "Though times change and opinions grow, and I hope to help the Ranger's with their reputation," is all he really offers in terms for his service, he had ideas but nothing fully fleshed out yet. Whether if that was because he was inexperienced with leading, or just because he was young was up in the air. [break][break]

At Callan Young's question his arms cross as he gives it a bit of thought on how to describe it, "Best way to compare I feel would be between a private Doctor, and a Public doctor, while eventually the same job I did have specializations that were focused on Silph Co. and the contracts that they under took. Like at times our jobs are outsources to pokemon trainers when it involves missions of a bigger scale."[break][break]

After their concerns the half blind ranger looks to ELAINA PIERCE as she ask her questions. "That is a topic that we will be addressing and asking everyone here of their experiences so far, but the simple answer I don't believe anything new has been discovered outside that they seem to be a side effect from the machines we set off while trying to teleport the Meteor away from Hoenn," Razz would look to ollie morales and Laurence Anderson about that, "Unless there is more I'm missing?" he questions them to see if they didn't have more answers.
