It seemed this year's celebrations, while grand, were a little bit toned down from the previous year-- or so it seemed from listening to everyone's conversations. Fox didn't so much mind. These little games were quite fun-- low risk for potentially large reward.

She rubbed her hands together briskly and slid her goggles back down over her eyes. Sinking back beneath the surface of the water, she resolved to herself, This time I'm going to get one of those Tera shards. Or something fancy like that. Treasure is treasure, but shiny treasure is the best kind.

The weirdest stuff always ended up in the water. Like, how did incense end up in the ocean? It looked like it hadn't been used, either! Of course, Julia would have to thoroughly dry it off if she wanted to use it, but that just further proved that the ocean was a weird place for incense to be! She wasn't complaining, of course; it was just one of those weird things you see when you're out exploring.

Another day, another dive. Embarking on the same journey she had a day prior, though this time in the morning, the pier creaked as she made it to the edge. This time she had brought Barb the Mareanie with her, a skilled ocean floor peruser; it was enrichment time for her new friend in addition to herself, and Desiree hoped nothing more than to find additional treasures in the depths. As the sun was rising, sunscreen was vital.[break][break]

The Mareanie jumped in first through the surface, but Desiree was quick to follow. Feeling the soft current on her back, it felt just as amazing as it did on the first; pink glimmering goggles in check, matching her two-piece swimsuit, the duo would embark further out than before. Just what would the sandy floor have in store for the two today? Swimming curiously, they would both keep their eyes peeled for any glimmer in the sand or a protrusion that appeared foreign to the sea.[break][break]

It was time again to give the diving treasure hunt a try, and Yuina was just excited for this next time as she was the first time! Swimming with Crowley was a great time, the Croconaw sure knew how to navigate the water well and move with the currents and waves, which made it all the more fun. Spending time with a new Pokemon of hers like this was wondo, and they were finding neat treasures together, it was time to see what they were going to find next as they waded into the water!

Hm. Just a measly Poké Ball, wedged between two large rocks. Barnaby had hoped for something a little more worthwhile, but knew that this sort of activity was a practice in patience.[break][break]

Although he didn't strike gold on his first try, the letdown wouldn't deter him from swimming to other parts of the reef and inspecting ever nook and cranny.

Now that Josh had a better idea of how the treasure was laid out on the seabed, Josh could make better use of specific water Pokémon when targeting a specific part of the hoard. Today, though, he wanted to just beat the sunset, running behind on getting to Funtasia after a busy day of taking challengers and working extra hours at a mom-and-pop shop in Mauville's southeast. Seated on his Sharpedo, Josh held the dark-type's steering fin tightly as the two rapidly descended in a speedy AQUA JET that left quite a wake for others behind him to deal with.

The low lighting made it very difficult to see. Despite catching a glint of light, the Gym Leader could not identify what was in his off hand. Shrugging, he pulled back on Snacker's fin, the two racing back toward the surface. By the time they returned, there might not even be enough light to identify hiw find. Perhaps he should have brought Illumina, his Lanturn...

As much fun as it was for her to be rumbled and rattled by her Seismitoad's shaking back, Shalin had other Pokémon she wanted to bring to the Lilycove sea floor in search of treasure that had accumulated there. Perhaps she would be able to restock her supply of Z-CRYSTALS, though it wasn't as pressing after a fresh Passho harvest. Plus, she could say no to exploring the unknown!

Taking a seat on Rielle's back, the Shiny Vaporeon paddled away from the shallows before diving beneath the surface, swishing her powerful tail back and forth to get up to speed. Shalin was tempted to let go briefly in order to grab onto the tail, but she resisted; it was too late in the day to lose focus. She needed to get to the bottom, grab her fair share, and surface before the sun's waning light completely faded, stranding her in the darkness of the coastal city's sea at night...
