Summarize 2 plots that are in-progress and being threaded:
1) Pursuit of Legendary Pokémon Raikou / The Three Virtues
While Josh has admired Raikou since childhood, in the events of Where There's Thunder... Elinor Anderson convinced Josh to be more willing to share his dream with others that could help him pursue this lofty goal. This, as well as the events of The First Big Step, have convinced Josh to take this goal far more seriously. He is convinced that in order to proceed with his dream, he must fix three fatal personality flaws: COURAGE without FORESIGHT, CONFIDENCE without JUDGMENT, and AMBITION without INSIGHT.
Josh is also in the process of networking with characters deep in League, such as Elinor Anderson and Thomas Benoit through his Ranger work (see threads Mayday! Mayday! Mayday! and Beating the Storm), and kyle lopez through the Minor League program (see thread Racecar), to be able to use them as leverage in fulfilling this goal. He wishes to establish connections with members of the A.Q.U.A. Initiative, as he feels that is the best way for him to not only get more information on the electric tiger he wishes to pursue, but they will have more resources to get him mentally and physically ready for the task of chasing down the fastest Pokémon on land.
Josh had started to develop the Three Virtues, as demonstrated in the thread Youngblood. Here, a simple joy-ride with Isaac Merlo turned into a nearly lethal air disaster for his friend, and he was only able to save the young man's life by demonstrating tremendous FORESIGHT and restraint in not diving toward the ground at full speed, going against his instincts. This was an experience that showed him instincts were a tool in his toolbox, and not completely infallible.
In the thread Ring of Lightning, featuring a battle with noah faber , Josh was forced to fight in some extremely uncomfortable conditions. In this battle, he demonstrated proper threat assessment, took the time to formulate a plan despite being in a tense combat situation, and stuck with that plan. His JUDGMENT contributed substantially to his victory, and has shown that though he is no longer pursuing the Gym Challenge, he still has the skills to apply what he has learned there to new and unfamiliar scenarios.
In the thread Red Canyon Rundown, by offering the Drift King, later known as Matus Baran , who tried to murder him several times the chance to come clean, Josh has demonstrated the INSIGHT to see that not all criminals are irreparably corrupt. His offer has given this criminal a new chance at life, using his honed talents in a legitimate way.
Though all of these are prime examples of what the electric cat is looking for, the development of them thus far is insufficient. His progress on developing each of these lies at approximately 25%. Then and only then will he feel ready to proceed with the next phase of his pursuit.
2) Ranger Duties
In the threads Where There's Thunder... and The First Big Step, Elinor Anderson helped Josh make a substantial secondary career change, giving up the Gym Challenge for the duties of a part-time Ranger. Since then, he has shown incredible promise and progress in developing the skills needed for his new job, accomplishing what takes most Rangers a year to learn in approximately two months. He is in the process of rescuing victims of a plane crash with Elinor Anderson in Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!, rescuing victims of a boat accident with Josh Dragomir in Shipwrecked, and with Julia Davis 's help, even saving a school of Sharpedo from poachers using an ingenious tactic detailed in Bullying the Sea. His deeds in Motorcade Madness did not go without notice, either.
With his wide variety of skills, Captain ollie morales has taken note of this Rookie prodigy, and is overseeing a Promotional Exam to Cadet despite him not yet being with the Rangers for a year. This exam is being threaded in Training in the Prairie, where he is supervising new recruit Matt Vice on a training mission, and in Pride Lands Rout, where the Captain is supervising him on a Ranger Mission that is too dangerous for his Rookie rank, but not too dangerous for his provisional rank he would be receiving if he passed the exam.

Other comments/notes: shiv is an incredible site admin and does not get enough credit for what he does. The RP quality here is incredible, far exceeding any other site I've ever been on, and the camaraderie here is equally incredible. I want to RP with every single one of you. I really do. But that would be too many threads to take on at once. You've taken my 18-year-old self insert in directions I never could have fathomed, and I love it. Thank you for all the good times, and here's to more good times down the road!
